I love this whole album. Most Soundgarden fans like their older stuff more (understandably) but this is my favorite Soundgarden song.
I know. Soundgarden is the only group where I love every era equally. This is a desert island album for me. I wore out the CD and had to buy a replacement. Easily the most listened to record in my entire collection. The weird, psychedelic stuff mixed with the heaviness, topped off with Chris, it speaks to me deeply.
I remember when this song first aired on the radio and I friggin loved it and still do. I bought this CD as soon as it hit the stores.
Me too. Superunknown is the best album, but this is the best Soundgarden single - it's the grunge version of "Hey Joe". Chris is at his peak here - the acoustic version is just as good. The best Cornell song IMO is Seasons.

Now you’ve done it. You opened up a can of Soundgarden whoop ass.
Don’t know if you realized it but the lead for Soundgarden was Chris Cornell who you reacted to in a solo setting with “Nothing Conpares to you.” Possibly one of the greatest rock voices of all time.
I did some research right after doing this reaction and thought it was him. Thought to myself those vocals sound to familiar
@@WILBURNREACTIONS I think next you should check out one of his other bands Temple of the Dog “Hunger Strike. That song has two vocalists, Chris and Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. One of my favorites of all time.
@@ryanhiatt9001 and while you doing Temple of the Dog - "Say Hello To Heaven"
You’ll really like Chris Cornell (vocals) I think. He was truly one of a kind. For Soundgarden I’d recommend Black Hole Sun and Spoonman.
He should also check out "The Day I Tried To Live" and "The 4th Of July"
Also “Outshined”
Oooo, yes! Soundgarden!
Outshined
Rusty Cage
Superunknown
Limo Wreck
Mind Riot, Head Down, Like Suicide, and many more.
"The Day I Tried to Live". Best Soundgarden song EVER.
I’m a drummer too, man. Soundgarden and Matt Cameron their drummer made me pick up sticks in the first place. Self -taught listening to records over and over where it just became osmosis. I remember becoming aware of different time signatures and tempo changes and shrugging. I learned from Matt Cameron...sounds normal to me!
Love Sound garden, Great group.
Ooo you made it to Soundgarden. As a Pacific Northwesterner, this makes me very happy.
One of my favorite albums. Remember they released this won a bunch of awards and then broke up, and Soundgarden is Grunge, Alternative rock!
The drummer is now and has been the drummer for Pearl Jam for years.
MORE SOUNDGARDEN!! Check out “The Day I Tried To Live”. Please and thank you 😊
Soundgarden is a Hard Grunge Rock Band. R.I.P. Chris Cornell...
Ohhh Chris Cornell’s vocals. Such raw emotion. I saw him live a year before he died. Wow.
Cornell’s voice is always stellar, but on this song it cuts a little deeper. Dude was so talented.
I’m gonna recommend an interesting song, a deep cut, that no one has ever reacted to. “Switch Opens”, from the same album as this one. Great drumming, groove, changes. Ear candy for a drummer, period.
Love Switch Opens. Great song. But Down On The Upside is a great album. Overfloater is my personal favourite on the album
@@ameliacharles2284yep that home stretch of the album is killer. I was actually going back and forth between Overfloater and this one. It’s always been one of my faves too.
@@jamesleblanc7437 It's just a great album from start to finish. No filler at all. Probably their most complete for me. If you took off New Damage and Holy Water from BadMotorFinger, then that would be my favourite. Never really liked those two tracks, but most of my faves are on Louder Than Love. Hands All Over, Loud Love, Ugly Truth and Big Dumb Sex are all in my Top 10
Love your comments to this awesome song and about being open to unfamiliar genres of music. It's great hearing from an experienced musician who's also a thinking man. Thank you
I’d be curious as a drummer for you to check out Soundgarden’s The Day I Tried to Live. Cool, unique time signature.
One of my Martial Arts sensei told us that if we truly wanted to excel, we should learn as many different styles as we can and incorporate what works best for US into our own penultimate style.
I have extended that philosophy into playing drums. My preferred playing genera is Hard Rock, but I listen to: Prince, Metallica, The Commodores, TOOL, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin, Rush, to name A FEW. As my sensei suggested, I bring all of that influence into my personal style.
As you move forward with this journey of discovery, you'll LOVE how it influences and changes you as a musician. Please let us know when it's noticed by those listening to you.
Hey, man, FYI: You won't get as many Soundgarden fans watching your video if you call them Supergarden in the video title. They have some super songs, but hey. 😀
I really want to see a first timer react to Soundgarden Jesus Christ Pose. Very heavy and the drums on it are super duper insane
For an interesting drum time from the same band, check out "Outshined". One of their best songs.
We all lost a unbelievable lyricist & a one of a kind VOICE
Great great song
Check out Chris Cornell’s (lead vocals here) cover of BILLIE JEAN by MJ. Or NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU, a cover of Sinead O’Connor’s huge hit, written by Prince. 💜
Chris Cornell is best live! If you try the following I promise you won’t regret it and they will all give you goosebumps
Fell on Black Days live @ SiriusXM
When I’m Down live at the Troubadour
Seasons - Studio/Jam version
Billie Jean cover live @ MSN
The whole Songbook album is wonderful. Acoustic versions of some of his best songs.
My 2nd favourite band after Tool. Chris Cornell is my favourite vocalist tho.
Hands All Over is my #1 Soundgarden track, but their catalogued is full of incredible tunes
Love Soundgarden. As a drummer you should listen to the original jazz/rock crossover drummer Ginger Baker with the band Cream. "White Room" from 1968 is a suggestion
"Spoonman"
You're a smart man. Yes, your exposure to music has been culturally limited. This is classic alternative rock. Kudos to you for expanding your horizons.
Check out My Wave and Rusty Cage brah...
I have a several suggestions for you. I've tried to pick some bands/artists you haven't covered yet or might be a bit different.
James Gang - Funk 49, Walk Away
Patsy Cline - Crazy, Sweet Dreams
Toto - Hold the Line
Stone Temple Pilots - Sex Type Thing, Sour Girl
Disturbed - Darkness, Believe
Andreas Vollenweider (he plays an electric harp) - The Hall of Stairs/The Hall of Mosaics, The Glass Hall
I envy anyone hearing this song for the first time. It was such a rush for me.
blow up the outside world is a masterclass in this genre ;you;ll see
Checkout temple of the dog say hello to heaven
Listen to Like suicide there you´ll have a drum demo.
Title reads Supergarden.. Assume you meant Soundgarden. Easy to fix? Maybe not.
Chris Cornell's inspirations to sing were The Beatles & Little Richard.
Soundgarden-black rain
Hmmmm first I thought... who’s super garden? Then saw Burden in my hand and knew it was soundgarden
Good music but have you considered react to inxs what you need official video , inxs and Jimmy barnes good times soundtrack from the movie lost boys, taylor dayne love will lead you back official video , mr mister broken wings live 1985 at the ritz ,mr mister kyrie official video , tears for fears memories fade live 1985 from the album the big chair , you won,t regret .
Chad need to give a listen to the group Sparks. They are obscure and talented. I would suggest the song this town ain't big enough. Of their Kimona my house album
You had to go and mentioned wings. Now I'm going to be thinking of them.
I thought the guy on the Full Force Album cover was you.
Lol the title says supergarden
Do yourself a favor check out the title track off of Super unknown.
Who is Supergarden?😂
