Thank you brother, I really appreciate it. I had a very difficult time choosing songs for this video; making them flow and fit together was hard. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. God bless, and mahalo~
4:30, that fishes face when you speared it was too good🤣
You guys should tag the names of the fish. Great content! Love it!
sorry for the late reply, but yes I was actually thinking about that! I didn't get the chance to do it because the amount of editing that would have taken but I understand that for the viewers at home having the names of the fish is also an important aspect that I might put in future videos. Thank you so much for the feedback, Really do appreciate it

Iʻm glad the content I made touched you like that, Gotta enjoy life everyday!
I just found this,and it was 3 months ago,but I want more❤️
Aye I really appreciate the kind words! This video was composed of like, close to four+ years of content. So I really had a content overload, which attributed to (what I think) is a good video. Sadly I haven't been diving, first year of college and connecting with my dive partners schedule is hard, especially when the water hasn't been the nicest either. I donʻt plan on uploading a lot, I want my videos to be at least 8 minutes long, with quality content. So hopefully by the new year Iʻll have enough clips to jam out a nice video. But I gotta go diving first in order to do that😂Again, Mahalo for the kind words.
@@braddahkakz no problem,be safe though,ok?

much love! I really appreciate it. College + work has been absolutely eating all my time up; but spring break and summer is almost here so definitely will try and get back in the water and hopefully get clips to make another video.

Cool gun and dive equipment wish I had some
Doesn't need to be expensive equipment, I roll my one piece wetsuit I bought 4 years ago that's tattered with holes ( was my first ever wetsuit) and still use it because it still works. getting into diving is a pretty expensive investment, but honestly you could just start off with buying mask/snorkel, fins, and a weight belt. A good wetsuit, buoy, and other things can be bought later. I would start with a 3 Prong, and they are around 100 dollars, but I made my own functional one using the top half of an old fishing pole and a 3 prong head I found when diving. And if your looking for a speargun, I would seriously highly recommend buying a used one because there are SOOO many people selling spearguns that are cheap and in really good working condition. Basically, if you really want to get into diving Iʻd highly recommend buying the necessities first that allow you to dive and then later, if you want to continue, you can buy the more secondary yet still important things. But it makes me excited that you're interesting in it! I truly hope you enjoy what the ocean has to offer.
Das one thing I miss about back home. Pan size menpachi
Crazy how accurate those spear guns are, that sure looks fun.
Sick vid! Dive safe braddahs. Careful pickin opihi with da dive knife. Gave myself one pretty gnarly gash doin dat in some surgey water once haha! U guys get um tho aloha 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Yea I realized after doing it a few times that the 2 inch cressi dive knife is not ideal for picking opihi😂 Not too often I do that but usually if I go specifically for it Iʻll bring a long butterknife, not only safer but so much easier with the leverage. Mahalo Uncle!
Nice catch
Amazing video bro 👍🏽
fiiiiiree
Good one 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best dive video I’ve seen in awhile 🤙🏽
Also. Tip if you want it! If your gloves get loose, try tuck ‘em under your wetsuit arm sleeves. Just roll your wetsuit back, put the gloves on and pull the wetsuit over them. That way they stay on tight and don’t ballon with water
Damn I never thought about that, usually everyone puts on their gloves after the wetsuit so I didn't even really ever think about shoving it under. Definitely gonna try that next time I go. And so sorry for the late reply, I just graduated high school and was only able to get a laptop recently to really get back into this CZcams thing. But again, that you so much for the kind words, I really do appreciate it. Aloha

Thank you for the really kind words! sorry for the super late reply but ah better late then never. Alright, Thanks for the video, it reminds Me when I lived on the Big Island when fish were plentiful. Keep doing what You are doing not to many People now days do anything near that. Mahalo. Oh Yea one more thing Good tunes.
Appreciate the very kind words. And thank God I finally have some feedback on the music, I did the editing on the video a while ago to different songs so It was REALLY hard finding good music to also fit with each "section" of footage. So glad you enjoyed it
Nice

What kind of underwater camera are you using? Gopro?
hope you liked the quality of the video, even though CZcams compresses the file and makes it worse than it actually is. But this video included clips spanning across 4 years and three GoPro's. a few clips came from an old hero 3 and my new hero 11, but most came from a GoPro Hero 8. Sometimes the quality looks super crisp, sometimes (especially in dark places) it looks like crap. But yea, the mask I use had a GoPro mount so I just slap it on there and record whenever I take drops. Hope that was helpful brotha
@@braddahkakz I have a mask with a mount, I'll definitely get a gopro...mahalo

Will definitely try to upload more, I used like 70% of all my clips in this video lol all I have are my fails left. Thinking of making a fail montage, I don't see anyone doing that and hopefully people can learn through my mistakes. But yea I haven't been able to dive nearly as much as I would like, school and work has been hitting hard. Have a blessed one ~

We’re is this
hey could you please take me to spear fishing? I’m going to Hawaii this Christmas
Minta rekomendasi speargun ny donk😢
Braddah what kind of gear do you use? 14:52
I now use a beautiful Waihana wetsuit, Gloves I usually use Hammerheads but they're super expensive now, in Home Depot if you go to the isle with gloves there's some really comfortable ones I recommend that's cheap. I forget the brand name but you can just try them on, you'll know. I personally use hammerhead fins, but I really want to invest in some good carbon fiber fins blades. The carbon fiber blades make it so you use less force per kick, so it less strain. In that video^ for reef I use a Kawabunga 7ft three prong and a 110cm Aimrite pipegun. For deep reef (gun with pink bands) I used an Aimrite 130cm single roller. Knives I really recommend the the Cressi 2-3 inch knife, It costs like 30 bucks, and its stainless steal. The rubber thing to tie around yourself is terrible, so I just used an old headlamp strap (because it's soft) for my knife and put it on my leg. Hope that answers your question, but if not, let me know.
Thank you bro! What about stuff you use on your dive belt
@@caseyvalentino844 For my dive belt I just put my kui (stringer) and a throw flasher. But that's really it. You need to keep it simple as you don't want things on your waist getting caught on the reef and or getting damaged as you get in/out of the water.
@@braddahkakz is the throw flasher the same thing you can use as what you tie to the end of the float rig setup?
@@caseyvalentino844 Not sure what you're referring to, but a throw flasher is simply a small tube (can easily be a 3/4 inch PVC pipe) with reflection painting or stuck on it. some people use spoons, but the whole point is you throw it and fish get attracted to the shine. I don't normally use mine, but it's specifically more for Bluewater purposes as it targets bigger fish. For me I just like having it just in case, and it doesn't really bother me so I just leave it on my belt. But it's not at all a necessity for your weight belt.
where is this?
all across big island brotha
@@braddahkakz ALL ACROSS?????? BRO I CANT EVEN CATCH A FISH
@@CoolGuy793 Diving is hard, it's physically demanding on-top of needing a lot of skills and knowledge to shoot even just one fish. That's not even considering the spots you go to and how comfortable the fish are with divers. Almost every single fish clip I dove in a place where a lot of people don't know about/can't get to (whether it be because you need 4x4 or the conditions have to be really nice). Just keep trying man, watch choke videos and keep giving em. quite literally yesterday I shot my first Ono and it ripped off. somewhere around 30-40 pounds. Still very depressed about it. thinking about what I could have done differently or how I could've prepared more properly. So we're all in the same boat man. Goodluck and dive safe

What is the fish at 3:42
So very sorry for the late reply, I just graduated high school and only got a laptop for college recently. But the fish @3:42 is Called a nenue, I know on other island they call them enenue. They are reef fish species here in Hawaiʻi, really good for sashimi or fresh poke
Mean vids - What kine camera you using ?
So sorry for the late reply, Literally replying to all the comments now. I only recently just got a computer after graduating highschool only now Iʻm seeing all these messages. But anyway the camera I used in 90% of this video was a GoPro Hero 8. Some clips you could kind of tell had a filter on it, and that's because It was shot on my GoPro 4. But Yea its a really good underwater camera and there's so much different settings you can set it to that it makes it perfect for capturing underwater footage.
That was amazingly edited. Hanapaa
Hey man thank you very much for such kind words. This was originally a much longer edit for my senior video that I made for school. Originally I wanted to show viewers basically everything that you can do when diving so that’s the idea I edited around. Again, mahalo!

Yessah thank you!

Sweet vid...cherry editing...keep it up!💯
Wow very nice catching fishes.Take care bro God bless
mahalo!

I like the video and footages but I must ask what is your goal to catch so many fish ? (Did you catch them in one spearfishing day or was it from different days?) If it is in one session I then do not wonder anymore why we don't have many fish or why they get scared when I get close to them to look at them...
From my perspective it looks like you took a lot in one day... either you have a restaurant to feed either you are too greedy...
So sorry for the very late reply, I just graduated high school and only recently got a laptop for college, But yea this entire edit was compiled of clips from all different dives. I started diving 4 years ago so the oldest clips in here are from around that time. Most of the fish were eaten by me, family or friends. The water doesn't always cooperate and sometimes were too busy to go in the water, so when the opportunity presents itself I at least try to get enough for my family and then maybe friends. But the original purpose of this video was for a senior project for school. I wanted to show you (the viewers) the different variations of spearfishing and the different types of fish you can shoot here in Hawaiʻi. It was also a way to show others the experiences I have in my life while spearfishing. But I really appreciate your comment, when your unsure, gotta ask! No shame in that. I really hope though you enjoyed the content in this video, that's the main goal I had while creating this. Aloha
@@braddahkakz hey ! :)
Thanks for your reply I really appreciate. I didn't mean to be rude but with all we see around about people over exploiting/consuming the nature it is normal to ask and wonder. One must be humble and aware about he doest on earth. Anyway the video is very nice and I am looking forward to watch more :)
@@Azertiiy06 Hey brotha I really appreciate it. I hope in the next few months when I make another video youʻll enjoy it

This video was made from a compilation of close to 4 years of diving, so although it might seem like a lot, this was over the span of a very long time. Mahalo for the support
👍👍👍👍
Gotta be more like a vlog bro
shiiii that's something I gotta really consider. I know personally I kinda of get irritated when I watch vlogs because I click to watch the content, not the talking aspect. Sometimes it overpowers the video and it leaves me unsatisfied. But I know CZcamsrs like Ryan Myers who I believe has a pretty good balance of displaying content and vlog qualities in his videos. What kind of videos would YOU like to see? Iʻd greatly appreciate your thoughts and feedback if you have the time.

I always appreciate when I see people tracking the joes so they not blasting coral. Keep the edits coming but no rape the reef just for content. Too much of that going on these days. Shootz.
Yessah braddah, Shafts be expensive so I try my best to avoid the reef as much as possible. And yea, I never planned on uploading videos to CZcams but its gotten so much support in such a short amount of time that for me its mind-boggling. I want to make this channel one where it has quality clips and videos so every second is enjoyable. Just wanna show the other dive lovers out there some of the stuffs I experience. Gonna slowly accumulate clips, and of course I'm not going to be so greedy and nonsensical as to rape the ʻāina just for content. But, Even though it may take a while, I hope you look forward to the next video I create. Mahalo Nunui Loa~
@@braddahkakz its not about the shaft, its about the long term impacts us divers have on the reef. Very few divers think about the long term. You destroy a 25+ year old coral for a fish, thats a huge unnecessary impact, were not starving enough to justify that. You clean up 2 uhu off the same reef week after week, thats a massive impact. The reefs need to recover. My personal rule is to only take one of any given species off a certain spot and then let that spot rest for 6 months. I don't expect others to follow my aggressive recovery times, but just let a spot rest, especially if it's an easy access shore spot. I've watched Oahu change and dove other islands, its clear we have a significant impact on our reefs. Just gotta keep that in our minds. Shootz.

Please Don't Shoot Napoleon Fish, because the productivity of this economic value fish is quite slow. However, unfortunately, it is often exploited so that the population decreases, even though naturally the Napoleon fish does not have many predators.
Please Don't Kill Them!!!...
Sorry only reading this now, but I searched it up because I didn't know what a Napoleon Fish was, but we don't have that here in Hawaiʻi. Iʻm guessing your referring to the big wrasse with the lump on its head, but yea we don't have that here. Good to know though, without your comment I would have never found out their an endangered species.
@@braddahkakz Thank you for replying to my comment, yes, big fish with a bump on the head, that's what I mean, I'm sorry, I just found out that in Hawaii there are no such fish, because Napoleon fish are very difficult to find, they are the reason for coral reefs it is there to be a home for them,,, thank you for accepting my advice, I really appreciate and support your channel.

Dead corrals sorry
This is why I can’t respect divers because all they do is take more then they need
valid opinion, I feel the same way for some individuals. Maybe it might look like a lot in this video, but these clips are from 4 entire years of spearfishing. And you gotta remember that not all days are successful. What you watched was just a small fraction of the amount of times I went spearfishing (and was actually successful). Not every dive is gonna be good, and when it is, you take advantage of that opportunity. Even though I do acknowledge a part of your opinion, this is honestly not the place to try and put down others brotha. This video is to demonstrate the different types spearfishing and give others who love diving, or those who cannot dive, a chance to be able to watch something they'd hopefully enjoy. If you truly believe ALL divers take more than what they need, then I'm sorry but you're simply being ignorant.
