Filipinos are awesome! Most staff from that region are so helpful and friendly!
We sailed on NCL Bliss in May 2022. Every staff member from the Philippines were some of the nicest people we have ever met. Like, genuinely nice and helpful, not just because it's their job. Hands down the best service we have encountered anywhere!

Thanks so much for this tour. I will be on the Jewel October 19-30, 2023 (Tokyo to Taipei). Was on the Jewel in 2014 (Greek Isles), 2017 (Southern Australia) & 2019 (New Zeeland). I love the Jewel and look forward to my first NCL cruise since the shutdown. Will be nice to sail on the refurbished ship. My favorite spot - The Great Outdoors. The best place for breakfast!

Never been on a Norwegian Ship out my 62 cruises. This ship is beautiful, elegant, modern and exciting with color around every corner. We are in a Club Balcony Suite ❤. Can’t wait to try Her out. ❤🎉😊

It’s a long cruise, so to know in advance where all the bits are (not just the restaurants) is so helpful. We’re flying from Sydney Australia so can’t wait to try NCL for the first time. Wow the ship is stunning! I was last on the Jewel in 2011 and she was very different looking back then. I keep telling my wife we need to get back on a “small” ship. It’s been 7 years of straight Breakaway/Plus class sailings.
Yes you will be pleasantly surprised to sail on this class after the bigger ships. We do like the big ones too but these ships are our favorite size.
I just booked a cruise on the Jewel, sailing in July 2025, Boston to Bermuda. We have a lot of family and friends going as well. Probably somewhere around 50 people. Loved your review and looking forward to the trip.

Our favorite ship! We sailed on her 2018 to Alaska and I fell in love with crusing. Now that I have done more, I found the Gem Class Ships are my favorite! The Joy was too big and stipud crowded lol. Dont like the big ones. Next cruise is on the Jade. (Formerly Pride of Hawaii) in Feb. The Gem is a close second for fav ship. We met the best crowd ever on it. We still remain friends!
This will be our 3rd time going to Alaska. The first time was in 2014 on the Sun and 2019 on the Jewel, and in August we will be on the Jewel again. We love Norwegian! We gave 8 kids and we will be brung our youngest 2 with us. We are so excited that they will be with us. We hope to find something to do in Vancouver that we can do with them that they will always remember. The ship is something they will never forget, it will speak for itself. If anyone knows if something we can do with them in Vancouver please let us know. I am so excited I can't stand it.

Those Jewel Class ships area really nice. I have been on 3 times. And they are the largest cruise ships I have ever been on. We go more towards the smaller ships now like Azamara. Trying Atlas Ocean Voyages next year 200 passengers!

looks good. We were on this ship in 2016 or 17. The nightly entertainment was a good mix of variety acts--but it was nice that you didn't need any special tickets or reservations. So it wasn't the grand shows of the bigger ships--but we were fine with that. But it looks like they got rid of Moderno. Maybe it was where 'chin chin' is located. I really like this size of ship. They're usually just old and stale--but with a recent refurbishment, I'd totally do a Jewel class again.
It’s a great ship! Moderno is still there, it’s on the upper deck across from Cagney’s. If you sail again don’t miss Le Cirque Bijou!!

Very informational and great tips. Our Trip - Alaska - Aug 19th - Aug 26th 2024- Vancouver to Seward. We have rooms midship on deck 11 so need to review the activities above us. I am hoping we don't have too many folks in the pool area at night and hope that they do not drag too many deck chairs in the morning.

I go in may 2023 unfortunately the fires in Canada and Alaska are decimating the wilderness, I'm from Australia so I know what bushfires leave in their wake however the ship will still be beautiful. Thank you for your informative video.

I had a Cruise First discount and another from My Vegas so my 10 day cruise (solo, guaranteed interior room), with insurance and pre-paid gratuities came to just under $650 out of pocket (I took free at sea but declined the drink package part). I'm in shock! But a jaunt on the Jewel is still on the longer term cruise bucket list. But couldn't pass up a vacation under $65/day. That is insane!
