I got to try out the LAX Private Suite (PS) which includes a BMW Limo pick up directly from the plane to take me to the Private Suite. The PS is for total privacy as you do not share the suite with anyone else. I enjoyed a massage, some food and beverage in privacy before my next flight on British Airways B747-400 to London. I was picked up by Limo which dropped me off directly at the plane.
I chose seat 14K on the lower deck of BA B747-400. It is a reverse facing Club World Business Class seat, looking straight into the Rolls Royce RB211 engines and the B747 wing. During the flight, the best entertainment was looking out the window. I had a tour of the entire BA B747-400 looking in on every seating class. I also review the seat and food served on BA B747. This BA 747 has 86 Club World seats and was given the name “Super 747” within BA.
After landing at Heathrow T5, I visited the British Airways Arrival Galleries Lounge. This arrival lounge provides shower rooms, breakfast and the Elemis Spa.
Finally check out the BA B747 painted in retro BOAC, Negus and Landor livery. Although my flight was not operated by one of these BA retro 747s, I was lucky enough to film them during my stay in Heathrow.
No way! The flight attendant at 10:29 ... I met him about 10 years ago when I was small!! Also have a picture with him! This makes me feel so good that he is still working with BA! 🥺
Wow
Your comment has to be one of the loveliest ones I've read in a long time. And it's a great reminder to all of us how much a genuine and positive interaction with someone else can mean, and how long we remember. If you have the time to send the same message to BA's customer relations, I suspect you might just make someone's day!
P.S. Just to head off any comments I can think of, I'm definitely not a BA employee, and even try to avoid flying them when I can.
David Ellis will definitely do so! Kindness should be spread everyday :)
OMG!
That is so cool
Bring Doug deMuro with you...he will start reviewing the quirks and features of the BMW instead of boarding the plane
that just made me lol
Thissss..
This....is a 747 😂

This guy is surely living his LIFE!!!

Well done!!😂😂
😂😂😂 That would be fun if you can take it all! You will now worry how much you will have to pay for the lift!
I love BA
The BA pilots are great people and know how to fly their plane thumbs up and mad respect to them!!!
Indeed all 747 pilots are fantastic! They clearly love flying the Queen!
Yeah, BA crews know they job perfect 👌🏻 Especially Caubuddy G 👍😀
@@SamChui is the A380 a king?
I don’t mind the airline it is the crew I find they are very grumpy all the time and when I went to the USA I ask for a drink and the crew member said “do you need a drink” then the drink came after three times of asking with no cup and no ice and the food 🤢. If I fly with them again it would not be long haul
@@garethcheney2331 There can be a number of factors resulting in grumpy crew members either they maybe flying with a colleague they don't like or they are tired or Maybe they never wanted to be placed on that flight
So yes I know they are to be happy and friendly all the time but they are humans so they have feelings and emotions too like any other human we all got our Good and bad days
So just bare with it my friend I've met sulky crew members too but you gotta deal with it and not go down to their level.
2:00 "we have an outside area which is outside" thanks for the clarification
video of those rolls engines was amazing
Correct
2:01 THIS IS AN OUTSIDE AREA WHICH IS OUTSIDE
GAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAA
Gahahahahahahahahahahaha
LOL
In fairness to the poor chappie, there are outside areas which do not actual give you access to the outside air for example I've seen enclosed outside areas which are like sitting in a greenhouse.
Ok buddy I'll take your word for it 🤣
*”an outside area that’s outside”* you don’t say?
they got one inside too...... idk u would need it lol
🤣
Charlie : 2:35 " if you're hungry and want something to eat "

He meant outside the suite
"We are going to fly her for a good long time." ~BA, RIP Queen of the skies ;(
Love that BOAC livery. I was on the maiden flight of a brand new 747 100 Heathrow to Sydney when I was 7 years old. It may have been their 1st 747. Had a couple of unscheduled stop overs due to engine problems.
The good side of your video Sam even if they are 16min or more they seem like 5 mins thats aweosome
Epic wing views of the 747! The seats aren’t the most modern but I love flying on BA’s Queen of the Skies!
After having viewed almost all your videos, I can understand now that the Middle East based airlines have really redefined hospitality. There was a lack of the general sense of love, warmth, care and affection from the staff in this video.
Love that unmistakable RB211 full thrust note that's like no other. I was spoiled as a child riding Delta L1011s and won't ever forget the sound of adventure. Long live the triple spool Queen.
What a way to travel, luxurious style.
Thank you SAM
We are going to be flying the 747 for a long time ... 4 months later = rip
:(
Sam my all time favourite only 747
Well that aged well 😂
It's amazing how the 747 is always so planted to the ground as it lands. The A380 does like to bounce a few times! I guess that is why the 747 is such a pleasure to fly.,
11:02 wow this dude loves his job! such passion What an honour to fly with a guy like that
RB211 always. Great sound and super reliable.
Ditto! Love that engine spooling during takeoff!
Definitely!
I love the fact that Rollys Royce Engines are the only ones to have three turbine shafts 😍
A very exclusive flight in the Queen of the Skies! A dream come true!
Flew on the BA queen from LHR to PHX in 2018. Best flight of my life. The queen of the skies is very quiet inside and lands very softly. Landor is my favorite British Airways livery.
Those RB211s are the best sounding engines ever. So angry sounding. Much better than the GE90
There’s always something so classy about the BA 747. I used to fly on them between Dubai and Denver before the services were changed to the A350 and the 777.
Ben Harris I think they still use the 747 to denver
The 747 does still operate BA109 to Dubai but that’s only once a day
Yeah BA does fly 747 to Denver at least once a day
Ba fly the 747 from Heathrow to Denver
The wing shots together with background scenery and various lighting levels and colours were just great Sam, bravo!
The 747 is and always be the best.
the sound of the engines roaring during take off is the best, it trickle my body and had goosebumps
it's even better than any ASMR video
listening to it using the speakers on pc with highest volume
Dope.
Landor Retro Livery! And ❤️ the RR engine sound ✈️
youre the man Sam! youre vids allow everyone to have a premium experience
No aircraft beats the beautiful engines of the Queen of the skies.
I love all the BA 747 liveries. I am just so pleased they are keeping the Queen in the sky when so many other airlines have abandoned her.
BOAC livery for me. Great view of the wing and the RR's.
we are going to fly the queen of the sky for ages oh dear!
Edited: thanks for 50 likes

At least Lufthansa, Korean Air and Air China are not planning to get rid of them too soon...

British Airways 5 months later: We are retiring are 747s 😒
I really like the sound.. fully throlow of those engines R.Roice.
Landor has to be my favourite. Just the overall design is just beautiful :D
Nice shot of the wing flexing during take-off... you can see it bend down switching to bend up due to lifting the plane. Rare footage. Nice shot Sam👍🏼👍🏼
I have a lot of appreciation for you doing a FULL takeoff vid and no music over those beautiful Rolls Royce engines.
I flew on a British airways b747 twice, the nicest plane I’ve ever flown on
I wish they still flew to hk with the 747. I loved the club world seats upstairs it felt like a much more private cabin. Thanks Sam keep them coming.
Definitely the Landor livery for me. How I wish BA would bring it back.
The lounge is really beautiful. Specially, when there's a lot of celebrities spend their time in there, before boarding.
I don't think that there can be an aircraft as iconic as the Boeing 747
I love three both of 'British Airways Retro Liveries Boeing 747 Jumbos Airplanes'
The Queen of the skies rules again ! thank you Sam
Thank you for doing this! I booked business on BA and was really wondering how it was. I believe the seat you were in is the same that I picked. Can’t wait for my flight!
8:44 I love the sound of rb-211s!
Gotta love the Landor that ones amazing the colors just go well together
Super video this week Sam. Love British Airways and especially the Queen of the skies
Love the dash lane app directly above the surf shark app

Thank you for their view on luxury.
It was very informative.
All the best Sam.
I like the old BOAC livery. It's just part of my childhood memories of the great liveries on the then new 747
Your videos just keep getting better. Keep it up Sam! 😊 ✈️
I have never flown on British airways but this looks beatiful
That's the best window-view footage I've yet seen on CZcams. And I like all three liveries, although I think the BOAC looks better on a vintage VC-10.
what a nice experience with some 4k's money. But my interest goes to the queen of the sky. Those 747're aging very well and in fact still and always be the best plane to fly across atlantic. Long live the queen!

Expecting more and more videos from you Sir.. Thank you.
I’d absolutely use this if I had the funds and flew out of or into LAX a lot. The private TSA line alone makes this worth it, but the massage table, the privacy, it’s just so luxurious and calm. Traveling is stressful, and this would eliminate so much of what I hate about airports.
I love BA, I used fly them when I was working in Oman. We would go from Muscat, Abu Dhabi to London. And then London on to Dallas. The flight crew were always friendly and I got bumped up to Business Class quite a few times. BA is my favorite airline.
I would definitely love to fly G-CIVY before it's gone since my grandmother's name is Ivy
Oneworld Livery
Pretty amazing place! Another great video Sam. I’m definitely a GE fan. I love all of the videos. Keep them coming?
Wonderful video, fun and informative!!! Thank you for letting us come along on this fantastic adventure!!! All the best from the west coast of Florida USA!!!
I flew on one from yvr to lhr in club world I loved hearing the RB 211 roaring and I sat in the forward seat
Long live the Queen.... B.O.A.C liveries, definitely. Thanks Sam.
Love your videos Sam! They inspire me to travel by air more and more 🔥🎉
I remember taking this same flight just the once, a LONG time ago now...it was on a classic 747 though, when the other London flights were Pan Am, TWA & Laker Skytrain...it was WAY back in August 1980
What a great view of those engines, that’s the best view.
Beautiful!!
BOAC is definitely my favourite livery!
Before my time but still looks so cool.
His bucket list is Enjoy the world of Travel for as long as possible
8:15 I really enjoyed the view from 14k of the Rolls-Royce RB211engines on the super 747 - queen of the skies.

My sides lmao Sam you are a madman and I love it.
Superb vlog Sam. Capturing a beautiful jet like the 747 and showing the world what a great plane it is and will be after it has finished its service
Wonderful views! And love the 747 -- what a great aircraft!
I never even imagined there was anything like that at LAX.
Great video. The RR engines always seemed a bit weird for me on the 747. I just find them too small for that plane. They look better on the A340. I like the GE or PW.
@Mark A yes. I know they're cfm56 that I was talking about. I meant they would. I was trying to write "they'd" but it didn't give me the d lol.
I saw the BOAC at logan airport in boston last week such a cool design really cool of BA to do that
Image quality is very crisp and neat. Especially the wing views.
Sam... Little did u know tat it wud be ur last flight on a BA 747-400
The news of erly retirement of BAs 747 was shocking... The moment when tat flight attendent said "she is a queen of skies and will fly for a few more yrs" was like surreal in the current situation
I really hope the situation gets better n passenger load increases forcing airlines to again re-strt the JUMBOs n SUPERJUMBOs
Seriously airports n plane spoting will. Never be the same without these jumbos.. KLM, virgin, BA,wamos most of the european carriers r gettn ride of the queen.
I hope luftansa spares thier 747-8i
As well korean air n air china..
Only a handful of these jumbos will transport ppl for the next few yrs
Love your new look Sam.
Sam is by far the best video creator in the aviation related area! Cheers!
I am so jealous on Sam. Flying all around the world must be such an amazing experience. I love your Videos! Keep it up!
Awesome video Sam
The Rolls Royce engines are my favorite.
Rolls Royce looks good for the 747, but PW beats them by quietness, but i love the RB211😊💙
Love the Landor livery! For me, still the best and very British!
8 months later I watched the last one land at kembel and dunsfold
Technically you are travelling in an Rolls Royce lol 😂
gowtham seenivasagan except those powered by GE or PW engines lol
Aiyaphol Kemapuckpong BA 744s were fitted with Rolls Royce RB211s. See that blue RR logo? Means Rolls Royce.

Saw the BOAC livery out of SFO last year. Looks gorgeous!
