As a long-time Chicago resident, I was returning home from several business trips and O'Hare landing traffic was stacked-up. The pilot let us know and gave us a 15 minute tour of the Chicago downtown area quietly hovering/circling/gliding over Lake Michigan until he was given the clear-to-land.. One felt as if one was a bird circling over the Magnificent Mile and lake. A once in a lifetime experience (drink in hand and enjoying the view).
I need help. Ever since I heard about that door plug incident on that Alaska flight a few months back, I keep watching airplane disaster documentaries about plane crashes. Now I'm even more fearful of flying! 😮 I know rationally it's the safest way to travel but still scared. Advice?
Had this beautiful view coming into Chicago one evening, the city looked like crystals rising up through a sea of diamonds. An increadable sight for me as a tourist a few years ago.
