    Insane trip, LC300 is King! Everyone misses the V8 but this V6 LC is much more capable and intuitive. Looks great too. You guys also have great taste in music, your sound tracks are killing me..😊😊 thankyou - more great music on my playlist too. Kudos!!

    We stayed overnight at Jervois Station. The birdlive was fantastic and a great stopover. We also stayed at Tobermorey Station and again a top stopover and great to get a glimpse of these working stations. Plenty Highway was very bad then as well.

    For the stone chips get some mosquito net from a hardware store and some duct tape. From the top of the rock to under the rear the rocks get tumbled back with no paint damage

    Great video and trip Nick and Heidi, Enjoyed this more than your cape video, sorry but the cape video seemed like a long Toyota advertisement. This one you seemed far more relaxed and flow to it.
    Keep it up, cheers 👍

      Thanks Chris. I’m glad you enjoyed it. We shot it without our videographer on our phones and Drone. It wasn’t meant to be an episode but we had enough content to make something and share the trip. The next episode is the Gibb River Road and it’s going to be phenomenal…We appreciate your comments, thanks 👍

      Yes, we agree. This episode was not meant to happen. Nick and Heidi filmed it themselves with IPhones, Go pros and a drone. We thought we may have enough content for an episode. Normally we have videographers that mic them up!!

    How much oil did the 300 take. Seems like a good thing that landcruser

    • @MountainTrailRV
      @MountainTrailRV  Před 2 lety

      We added 5 litres of oil at 7000kms. We had an oil change at 10,000kms and it needed another 4 litres at 16,000km. Its not leaking so must be burning!!

      @@MountainTrailRV Wow, that's a lot of oil for a new engine, even pulling the 3.5t van. I wonder if it's a characteristic of the "Hot V" engine? Apparently they have to have steel pistons because of the extra heat. It will be interesting to watch their reliability/longevity over the coming few years.

      We started the trip with towing mirrors. They absolutely distracted us as they vibrated so much we couldn't see through them. We flicked them just after Cairns. We can see behind us in the Caravan camera!!
