“Good to Great” - Taking our Mountain Trail caravan from being merely a “good” caravan to “great”

Despite our initial problems with this Mountain Trail RV caravan, in particular the fact that its was overweight, we have come to appreciate it more and more. It really is a "Good" caravan. But having lived in it full time for 10 months, we have also come to understand some of its design limitations.
In this short video we "go our own way" and make three fundamental changes to the caravan, that in our opinion overcome some of the design flaws, and take the caravan from "GOOD TO GREAT"
The most important of these is the change to the solar and 12v charging capability of the caravan, which with the design and implementation skills of Dave Roberts from VAN ELEC have provided a huge boost to the viability of this caravan as a great "Off Grid" caravan.

Can you share how you did the grey water bypass??

It’s essentially as I described in the video. The grey water system has three pipes which feed into a single pipe that feeds into the sump. I cut out about 6 inches from this fed pipe and installed a 2 way valve from Bunnings. When in the off position this diverts water to another 2 way valve which when off allowed water out. When both are in on position the grey water resumes its previous routing into the grey water tank.

So you pay for 960 watt of Solar but the system will only give 600 odd . Shouldn't the factory sort that out not you have to pay to have this fixed ?
