Love love love that bon fire place and the chairs you put out! And the overall vintage traditional green and red decoration feels so cozy and nice! We went with traditional and a bit whimsical Christmas this year, and it turned out very well too. Sending you lots of love from Switzerland for this festive season.
I love any decor with cardinals! There’s the saying in old folklore that “a cardinal appears when angels are near.” I especially love cardinals at Christmas time because they seem to bring such peace.
Last year on Christmas Day there was a bright red cardinal sitting on a post on my Nana’s backporch. When she saw it she instantly said “my momma is visiting me today.” It still makes me so emotional thinking about that but I wouldn’t give anything to have missed that moment. ❤️

I live in N.Y.C and I will be putting up my tree and decorations this coming week. My tree is done with ornaments from my childhood which are vintage and unique ornaments that have special meaning. Some were gifts or collected on trips and some home made ones done when my daughter's were little. I love the kind of tree that a person can stand in front of and spend time discovering each unique ornament and it's story. I also have a collection of snowmen and women in all shapes and sizes. I absolutely love the way house looks and smells at Christmas. When January comes around and we put them away, the house feels naked. Your fire pit looks beautiful and reminds me of my childhood vacationing in the Adirondacks where my family would gather and toast marshmallows over a big wood fire. Enjoy the holiday season!
We put ornaments from family, friends, and places we've been too. We did only that on our tree this year! So many memories on a tree!

Sarah from New York here. We got a real tree this year and used a strand of white lights and a strand of colored battery operated lights and alternated them. I prefer white lights and my kids like the colored better so it makes it nice to be able to switch it up. Sometimes we light both sets, other times just color and just white if it's just me home. It has a light setting on them to change the blink and fade of them which is great and fun to have that option. Other than that we have a mini lighted tree on a mantle and just simple candles here and there. On our porch, I put a small tree on the table out there with candy canes for the mail people that come. We have a pretty wreath by our door and that's about it this year. Pretty simple, but cozy :)

Hello we are from NY but we live in Texas. We are a lot older retirement age. I do a very minimal Christmas only two of us with a jackrussell we have no children. I love simple living.
