In this video I overland the South Carolina Adventure Route. The SCAR is a scenic loop around SC that's a good mix of dirt, gravel, and secondary roads.

Great video! I'm in the Augusta area and have hit the SCAR at a few points, but never all of it. I definitely need to dedicate some time to do it.
I can relate to that damn tarp I have the same exact one what in absolute piece of garbage I would never buy it again the price was right but geez what a pain in the ass

Tornado: find a ditch, culvert, etc. The most important thing is as much side cover as possible. Don't get under anything that can be picked up like a bathtub toy.

So I we took the SCAR from the same area yesterday and it seems like you took a much different route. Stuff I did not see at all. Did you take any alternate routes?
Not that I can remember. I did hop off once or twice for food gas etc
Perhaps it just wasn't as grown bring February so it looked much different. But the area by the river that you went to I did not find.
I believe I found that while off trail looking for camp.
How were you able to get the radar to show on the info screen on your rig? I’ve tried to get MyRadar to show in Apple car play and looks like it’s not an option.
In 15 it was standard

If you look at public tracks it might be there.
I'm in the Jersey Pinelands and the Trans NJ Trail is on GAIA but not labeled as such.
What’s your preference, 4Runner or Tundra and why?
Bother have their advantages and disadvantages. Best all around I'd say the 4runner
do you have any recommendations for a good app or GPS for legal off road trails?
I use Gaia : bit.ly/2I1McCG that said you have to find your own trails. As far as legal anything thats a public road is legal (there are alot of roads that are technical and off-road believe it or not) also anywhere on public land. In that app there is a way to turn on layers that show public lands all the roads through there are good. Then there are private off-road parks and orv or ohv areas that you can find online. Hope this helps, just get out and explore.

How in the world are you getting weather radar on your factory head unit???
The older ones this was a free feature
My 2019 taco has it built in. Somehow comes through thr hd FM signals
you need to try some real adventure. Ditch 2 of the wheels, a roof, climate control. all that junk in the back and get a helmet and have an even better time on the same routes. BRAPPPPPP
After two wrecks I’m done with 2 wheels I’ll stick with 4
