- Carolina Adventure World 2021 in Winnsboro, SC - Is it worth the trip?
We take a trip to Carolina Adventure World in 2021 to see what it is all about - camping, riding, amenities and more - how are those southern trails compared to the North?

In this and all of our videos, we showcase the Polaris Rzr 2020 Fox Edition Trail model, 50" as well as accessories, upgrades and product reviews. This enables you to know what your money is worth spending on when it comes to your UTV, whether it is a Trail model, or another Polaris. We also visit regional ATV and UTV riding areas and parks, to explain the terrain type, costs, and provide an overall review of these locations so you can decide if you want to visit. We will also insert a variety of other products, some non-Polaris for comparison and review purposes. We are mechanically inclined, but we are not mechanics, so we like to show you how we can DIY on our own Rzr just with the help of the OEM service manual and research. We hope you enjoy this and all of our videos, and please feel free to email us at Michael at the beatentrail dot net if you would like to know more, or if you have a product you would like reviewed. We are always looking for ideas for future episodes, whether it be your local shop, your new model UTV or an ATV/UTV park you would like us to visit. Do you have something which you think is interesting that we should film and cover on our channel? Write to us, we would love to hear from you!

Have you ridden Carolina Adventure world yet? If so, how did you like it? What was your favorite part about this great park? tell us here!
Hate when you jackasses in your off-road cars mess the trails up so it’s basically unrideable for dirtbikes.
@@duh-ff go cry more loser. Just because you can't afford a sxs doesn't mean you need to hate on others.
@@duh-ff we’re not gonna stop having fun for you dirt bike riders, I’m one myself, CAW is not a dirtbike park, try brushy mountain or enoree or maybe the track that is on the same exit
Great video guys , I love The Beaten Trail !!
Glad you enjoyed it
Planning on hitting this in the next month or so. Can’t wait!
Awesome. I think you will love it!
Looks like a lot of fun. I just seen four side by sides from New Jersey on our Island. They are going to love Cape Breton Island and Newfoundland. Seen them boarding the ferry. They will have a great adventure, there's weeks of trails on our islands.
Kenny
Sounds great!
looks great ! wish i was there now.
Next time!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
We really enjoy riding at Carolina adventure world. Been there many times with our RZR. Check the calendar, the nite rides are pretty awesome also.
Yes I’d like to get back down there and visit a couple other neighboring places as well for another week long trip
Going there soon! Looks awsomr
Hope you enjoy it! We have to get back down there this year!
Thanks, I haven't been there yet. The best one I have been to thus far is Busco Beach in NC.
Thanks for watching. Busco beach is on our list for this fall or winter. We'll be down south again for more park reviews!
Looks like they've improved this place a lot. When I went years ago it wasnt maintained well and was rutted bad.
The track was being worked on, but overall we enjoyed it. Have to explore more and see the other amenities.
Much agreed. I have a sport quad and a lot of trails aren't made for me, but I like a challenge. Would really like the drag strip cleaned up.
Wow!! cool Place! way better than "Wally World"! 😂 All seriousness... looks like a great place to ride!
Hay bail belt sold at TSC does a great job keeping the mud out. Do it yourself project... cut to length and use self tapping screws.
Cool thx
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you!
Going tomorrow for three days. Gotta few quads and a SXS to explore with. Hope to have a blast
Enjoy! I'm jealous!!!
Send me this location please 🙏🙏🙏
Hey I'm from Philly and would like to go here. Just curious as to how much money in fuel do you think I would spend towing 2 full size quads in a 7x16 enclosed trailer with a brand new 2500 gas powered truck to this place each way? I'm guessing at least $350 each way?
Based on a calculation for 610 miles, looks like this would be the cost depending on your MPG:
If 5 mpg, it will use 121.8 gallons of gas with cost of $487.2
If 10 mpg, it will use 60.9 gallons of gas with cost of $243.6
If 20 mpg, it will use 30.5 gallons of gas with cost of $121.8
If 30 mpg, it will use 20.3 gallons of gas with cost of $81.2
If 40 mpg, it will use 15.2 gallons of gas with cost of $60.9
If 50 mpg, it will use 12.2 gallons of gas with cost of $48.72
If 60 mpg, it will use 10.2 gallons of gas with cost of $40.6
Of course, your mileage will vary...literally. ;)
Thank you for watching!
Sunny side Atv paradise Wrens Georgia it’s an active chalk mine they have tons of trails and a Utv track
I’m in South Carolina. I interested to open one of this. The field is 500 acres. It has a lots water areas and slums of hills. One problem I have is right next to it they have duck hunting field. With all the noise with ATV will run off all the ducks.
What’s ur advice?
I am flattered that you would ask me my opinion for this but definitely a question for your legal team if you own the property already or if you’re thinking of developing the property. especially when it’s that close to something that has wildlife sanctuary or restrictions listed. This might not be an ideal place but best to know ahead of time before you develop any plans.
@@TheBeatenTrail thank u so much for replying. I already got my business license for ATV park and duck Hunting place they don’t got business license yet. Fingers crossed 🤞 hope to get this going ATV park going!💯
Once again thank so much!💯
do they have a wash station where you can pressure wash your ATV after riding?
At CAW, YES, they have one on-site which takes $1 for 3 mins, it was working when we went there. It was great.
In PA, there is an outdoor pressure wash station in Ashland, PA , 5 mins from trails, and there are a few also in the Pottsville area, south of town. Most will say "No heavy mud" so YMMV, but someone would make a KILLING if you had one trailside with CC or cash machine.
They do, but only put $1 in at a time. Putting 3*$1 gets you the same amount of time as a single $1. Wait for your time to expire then add another $1
Was it required to wear helmets at this park or optional?
HELMETS
Yes, CAW requires that all riders follow manufacturer guidelines regarding helmets and other safety equipment at all times.
Are trails one way or some one way and some two way
When we were there they were both two way and one way I think most of the larger access ways are too way but they’re posted very well.
Its a cool park but like others have said it is getting ridiculously pricey. Been there prob 10 times over the years and every year the price goes up. If you add up the costs to go there, its actually cheaper to drive a little further(for me-near Charleston) and go to HMT. If me and my girl goes to CAW- its $41 each per day for trail pass and $25 for entry. Thats $107, then gotta get a cabin and they start off about $150. Not including food or gas comes to $339 for 2 days and 1 night in a cabin for 2 people.
I know a lot of the parks are getting out of hand. When we went to Durhamtown, GA, I think it was like $75 a day for side-by-side and I can’t imagine what it is now but I’m sure I could look it up. We ride up here in Pennsylvania at Famous Reading Outdoors I think it’s $225 with a passenger for a yearly pass (20K acres or less) , but $35 for a daily pass over at anthracite outdoor adventure area (8000 acres or so). If you have the ability to go to Hatfield and McCoy for $50 for a year for out-of-state rider you can’t beat that for over 1000 miles of trails.
I’m in Myrtle beach area. What trails do you recommend in our area?
@@ashleywynn4923 what is hmt?
Hatfield & McCoy Trails, WV
So weird seeing everybody with helmets and stuff, down here in east Texas everybody is hammered drunk and def no helmets haha, tons of mud/bogs
Yeah, every state is different. I was so used to wearing helmets in the north east and went out to Moab, Utah and other than a facemask and glasses. That’s all you wear.
@@TheBeatenTrail Love your videos though! What park would you recommend if we want fun trails, but also nice waterfalls and swimming holes along the trails, looking for a good July place and want to beat the heat when we want!
Thank you! Much appreciated you saying that - glad they help out and are entertaining. Swimming holes...hmmm, well I wouldn't recommend the water in the PA mining areas. For waterfalls and swimming holes, I would have to do more research for other than Hatfield & McCoy and Tennessee trails. Anyone in the comments here have any suggestions for WATERFALLS and SWIMMING holes?
How many miles of trails
They say more than 100 miles of trails it probably feels more like 50 or 60 because all the trails crisscross.
I live about an hour from CAW but hardly ever go. We 5 kids and they make you pay per person. It cost us like 120 bucks to ride there for a day which is ridiculous. Ride royal blue in tn. Is like 22 dollar's for our whole family. Uwharrie is only 5 per vehicle. CAW is just too expensive
That's the challenge of family riding. When you go to a small place like Lost Trails in PA, its $30 or more per person. To have a day of riding with the family or friends is expensive. HMT is $50 per person per year! That's a bargain for over 1000s of miles of trails. TN just was set to increase the hunting fees significantly, and there was so much pushback, I am hoping it stayed sidelined for now, since it would greatly damage the tourist industry there. Loving TN, favorite new place is Royal Blue and Tackett. Working with Ride Royal Blue and Rock Run currently and its a great central location for all adventures.
@TheBeatenTrail yeah I completely agree. Ride royal blue is just a fee for the driver. Passengers and children are free so that helps. Hatfield mccoy is a great place. We go a few times per year. But 3 of my children are under 7 so they aren't allowed there.
Yes, we have a few places where the minimum age is 12 or so, if I remember correctly. We do have some smaller parks where with proper gear, any age can ride. Lost trails, Alvin's playground (tour track) come to mind. Check Rider Planet online, they have a great list of nationwide parks and riding areas with great information.
@TheBeatenTrail awesome gotcha. We ride sunquidst (what most people call ride royal blue) a good bit. Never ridden tackett creek but it looks very family friendly as my kids just like to ride and snack and see views. They, understandably, don't like anything too crazy lol. We are gonna try tackett in a couple weeks. I think my family will enjoy it from the videos I've seen about it. Thanks! We also ride a talon, an x4 live valve.
Cool. Be sure to have good mapping, either Tackett Creek Mafia on FB or lifetime maps, Tackett isnt labeled, or they're working on putting in some trail listings, numbers, etc from what the locals say. My 2021 1000R LV is having wiring issues, so have to see what we do next with it out of warranty and Honda didnt want to assist. Love the talon, but cant work with a $2500 new harness requirement. More to come!
4x4 mule ok to ride out there
Yes. Not all difficult trails
Alabama mud park in Troy al
Sounds like somewhere we will have to visit in 2022. Want to get down to Durhamtown, Georgia offroad (again), Busco Beach and some other southern locations. What other parks in AL are there other than the Mud Park?
@@TheBeatenTrail Indian mountain atv park is the best one in AL
