- Ward becomes more important the more you play Orna and Hero of Aethric, but there are some common misconceptions about how ward works, how to use ward and how not to use ward. This guide video explains everything you need to know about how ward works in Orna and therefore how you can increase your own ward pool to greater effect.

Most important notes I forgot to mention:
Each battle will use the highest ward absorption % used in that fight. E.g. after you use Ward of Ortanite once, your absorption will always be 85% even when you use Ward of Mythril afterwards. Similarly if you then use Divine Bastion your ward absorption will now be increased to 100%. This also lasts for entire dungeons.

Even if you lose ward turns or ward becomes zero it will stay at 100% if you recover ward or activate it again?
@@MrSirbra correct, ward absorption will remain at highest % for entire fight
Great video. I thought I should share a ward recovery skill that you didn't mention. Purifying strikes from Atlas Vanguard. It gives one turn of ward and recovers 10 percent ward while doing multi strike holy damage. 😁

@@Shabbash I used it a bit when I entered T10 and couldn't use the ward of Light skills because they restore hp. No arcanist within 5 kms of my house and whenever I go there, I am not finding the transference skills. :(

Just kill the ghost. Most endgame players tend to overlook dot damage protection. Blight, bleed are your best bet. Fight over and over until you whittle them dead.
Hi shabbash, great content, watched all of your video. Really relaxing vid. Keep up the good work. I am lv 202 titanguard with 4mil orn. Berserker spec. I focus on world farming and feel boss fights are slow and inconsistent. Wonder if I should buy arcanic or save up for nyx or change to bahamut? Thanks
Hi David Wang, thanks for commenting that's really awesome to hear! Ok Titanguard is definitely the "slow and steady" class at T9, I guess you could go swash spec but it's a completely different playstyle. The one thing Titanguard/Berserker should be good at is raiding anyway.
For world boss farm yes you will be slow right now, but you should be good at boss dungeons after getting all your buffs up, that could be a good focus.
Baha/Tamer is unmatched for world farm in my opinion, but you're gonna have to splash the orns out and don't forget Crimson Gazer costs orns and is much rarer now.
But you just hit t9 so you have time to accumulate and see which way you want to go. Let me know if you've got any further questions i'll try answer .

Still in the tier 5 level bracket and looking at how top tier is, I still have much more to learn and acquire before I can call myself a true tank in battle. How would you go about dealing with magic attacks, can ward still be effective against that if you don't have much resistance compared to defense?
yes, ward will almost always be more beneficial than more armour or resistance stats
List of Start "ward at the start of battle" items?
I find it confusing that the ward bar shows on turn one, even if it has not been activated yet. I think it should only show if it has 1 turn or more
I think this is actually "fixed" in 3.0!
where can you get the ward of ortanite?
You can only find it from Arcanists (spell shops)
You didn't mention it in the video, but how exactly do defend or bastion skills from shields work?
Hey good question. It gives you a small ded/res buff (not visible) and a few ward turns.
Does the buff activate only for one turn, or however many turns the shield gives?

Hi there Shab, i have a question, maybe u can aswer , what if i use a ward spell wich increase my absorbtion to 75% and then i use a ward spell wich just gives me ward turns... do i have ALL the turns with that ward absorbtion rate or the game count every ward turn with its ward absorbtion rate? e.g. i use ward of mithril and then i use fortify II or viceversa , will i have all the 10 turns with 75% absorbtion rate o will i have 5 turns with 75 and 5 with the normal rate? sorry if i made some mistake, i'm not mothertongue , thanks
Hi bud, see my pinned comment it was the one important thing I forgot in the video lol. All your ward turns will absorb to the maximum absorption rate you've used in the battle or dungeon

how to earn orn fast?
Early to Mid game: If you can ride shotgun in a vehicle, use a lucky silver coin and a shrine of luck, then kill all the bosses you can. Quests and achievement hunting helps alot too.

@@rulaleranue9685 You should still be able to find them. I assume you mean goblin Mages? Pop a torch or a candle or something to increase spawn rate and kill away. If you get too far ahead you can always start running downgraded dungeons, though I'd not waste keys on that unless you really get way out of whack. It's not uncommon to outlevel the story quest at first.

Hello. I downloaded this game yesterday, could someone tell me if it is necessary to play outside in order to meet other bosses?
It helps to move around yes, however if you're stuck playing from home there are features that allow you to access boss and other stuff relatively quickly, perhaps around lvl 100 you can build a wayvessel and start visiting other wayvessels strategically placed next to multiple dungeons. You cna do boss dungeons to see multiple bosses. Joining a kingdom is also very beneficial for raids and gauntlet keys.

When I enter raid battles, it seems that the bosses ignore my ward at random times. Normal enemies too, for that matter. Is this a bug or is there a reason for this?
I've fought bosses over and over and noticed that the same attacks that ward blocked, ward also did not block.
Pay closer attention to your ward turns maybe? Often i lose track of my ward turns and take unexpected damage. Absorption as well. I haven't heard of any current bugs ignoring ward.
