It’s been 15 years since those days in uni lol. Like this video!
Altho I do remember vividly that our pharmaceutics professor taught us in formulation class that we should always stir inward. That way we can control our energy and avoid splashes that tend to happen in outward stir movement.

So much better than how the RxPrep book explains it.

You should not use glass mortar because it is too smooth to produce the proper reduction of the internal phase , you should use wedgwood or porcelain mortar

there is no active drug or other excipients how we incorporate our drugs and colourants in this type of method ...and there is always a ratio of 4parts oil: 2parts water: 1 part emulsifying agent to form primary emulsion and then will make up final volume up to the mark...kindly answer this query i am highly thankful to you.

Looking for a natural alternative to polysorbate 80 for my facial oil cleanser than rinses off completely with only water (because the water emulsifies the mixture). Can I use a gum (like xanthan gum)? Thanks.

Hello jacob I was wondering why use wet gum/dry gum, i have an instruction were wet gum is used to produce lecithin from wet gum solvation, but i have no idea why i have to use wet gum instead of just the oil in which lecithin is in, anyhelp on why wet gum is used for purification of lecithin from soybeans? TIA
