I grew up near Beallsville, OH, my dad had worked in Wheeling. I miss it.
That was an awesome light display loved it thanks so much for sharing that., i;m from Winfield Kansas and there is a christmas light display every year called "Isle of lights" at Island park. and this display reminds me of isle of lights, its free too they do have a booth where u can donate money, the money that is donated goes to help keep the display going every year, and its very pretty too,
Beautiful! I needed this. I caused a car accident today and the responding officer looked just like you Wallie. He was dicky and gave me a ticket 😞 I kept looking at him and thinking “ you look like Wallie but you’re nothing like our beloved Wallie.”
Unfortunately if you are the one that caused it they have to ticket you but I hope you are okay

Love visiting here. If you go after a snowfall, it seems and feels more like Christmas. But on the other hand, the lights don't seem to stand out as well.
Unfortunately West Virginia is little ways away 😢from me … but we have something over her in Tx called Trail of lights every Christmas 🎄 absolutely awesome Vlog & beautiful Festival of Lights 🎉

I usually go look at some Christmas lights around town where I live. The year my mother passed in '21 I took a lot of trips to look at lights around my area. That was such a tough holiday season and Christmastime was around the time that I finally got over some of that pain. There would be some days where I just look at the Christmas lights and just took it all in and savored that. That is something I plan on doing this year too.

Always love this great display of lights gets one in the Xmass mood forsure.I go to check out the light display actually 2 homes that have state of the art light shows like i have never seen at my nearby city of Halifax they spend thousands of dollars to do it.
I went to see this a few times as a kid and I remember how truly magical and beautiful the Christmas lights were! Me and my husband and my in laws went.. a few years before Covid and I was a bit disappointed. Maybe it was just an off year for them.. but in some of the displays the lights were only half working. Some of the displays we really weren't sure what the design was supposed to be. Thankfully we were already on the property by lunch time because by the time we were done seeing the Christmas lights and were leaving there was a line of cars to get in that was miles longs, just stopped on the main stretch of road there to get in. Plus I think it was like.. $40 to $50 a person.
I really enjoyed the Festival of Lights at Oglebay. I reside here in Weirton, WV and I have been going to Oglebay Festival of Lights for nearly 30 years. I did get to the Festival of Lights last year on Thanksgiving Day. I hope to go there this year. It's about 35--40 minutes each way between Weirton and Oglebay. By the way, I hope that you saw my comments on Primanti Brothers grand opening here in Weirton, WV. I was at the grand opening and I got the 100 Club card that I can use to get my free sandwich once a week for a whole year. I go every week on Thursday to the Weirton Primanti Brothers to get my free sandwich. I just went there this past Thursday. I really like Primanti Brothers! Mmmmmmm! Take care, Alan.

POST NOTE-the windmill has been MENDED AND LOOKS EVEN BETTER AND THERES A COUPLE OF SMALL NEW EDITIONS THIS YEAR OF TWO SMALL LIGHT DISPLAYS NEAR THE SKEIERS THERE STRANDS OF CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
