Love this! My husband and I both drive older vehicles as well, so it's very refreshing to see am influencer who doesn't drive a flashy car! This was seriously a kick for me to do my car as well... I'm SO guilty of collecting trash in my car, lol!
For the emergency kit - I include jumper cables . In the winter I add an older pair of ski mittens, hat and a blanket . Always be prepared for a winter breakdown. Also, I have tweezers, nail clippers, dental floss and eye drops. These simple items can take care of something that can be so annoying. Also, I keep an older pair of subscription glasses in the car just in case something happens to my daily glasses . Nice video !
Both Lactaid and Ibuprofen need protected from heat and cold. Better if you keep them in your purse that doesn't get left in the car.
If it was like a SOL situation, would either still work a little magic? Or total chemical breakdown?

Hey Ashlynne, love your content. It exited me to see that you had a video dedicated to cleaning your car. I am a car girl and love detailing vehicles. I do have just one tip for the future, I know as you mentioned in the video is a used car and is more cost effective and time saver to take the car to a carwash, how ever, you can always make your car look as brand new if you take to a carwash were there is no brushing involve, I know it might sound weird, but believe me it works. Take it to a touch-less carwash and any detail that is left behind use a waterless detail product (you can find at a walmart for a good price) and use with it a microfiber towel. This will help prevent scratches in your car paint for the future. Hopes this helps. 💜

Good idea for a car emergency kit. We keep jumper cables, extra light bulbs and a small first aid kit in the trunk of each car. In the glove box, we keep Tylenol, Tums, a pen, the manual, and the registration/ insurance cards. Finally, we keep a collection of 6 canvas shopping bags that we fold into one bag. Doing these things make keeping the cars tidy is soooo helpful! :)

Great job!! And thanks so much for friendly reminder of cleaning out glove compartment. I didn’t do that spot last week when I washed my car. I’ll get to it for sure this week! 🚗🚗📚📚 bc there’s books in my glovebox 🤣🤣
One more thing I’d recommend for the car kit is an external battery for your phone. I keep one in my car at all times after an incident where I needed to call AAA and was rationing my phone battery.

Looks fantastic!! It would be so great if you could have a helping video, specifically to help a mom with several kids get more minimal with cars but still have all the essentials. I feel like my car has so much in it, can't figure out how to reduce having one of everything for each person and keep it organized/clean .
I love getting the bugs off my car even though doesn’t last long. Need to find a cheap way to get the salt mixture off the carpet- winter leaves it’s mess from MN roads.

Really good video! It definitely has motivated me to clean out my car. I like the bag idea a lot…then everything is in one place. The only thing I would say is I know that it isn’t good to leave water bottles in ur car because the heat will make the plastic melt into ur water bottle.

I just cleaned my car this morning too! It took me an hour, it had been a month or so since I last cleaned it. I have a 2014 Kia that I've had for 6 years. Have no interest in getting rid of it anytime soon

It’s so hard to keep my car wiped down and vacuumed here in Michigan because sometimes it’s so cold you don’t even want to go outside
I had to rewatch to see the gas prices and I’m so jealous. Where I am, gas is between $6.50 and $7.50 a gallon 😩😭 that’s why I started walking my wagon to the grocery store 😂

Ashlynne, maybe don't leave plastic water bottles in your car. The heat will start melting the plastic into the water.
Your car looks great! I drive a 1998 Honda Accord!!! I keep her maintained, her interior is leather and in great shape. No lie, she could use a good paint job, but no dents. And yes, I do refer to my car as a “she”. Lol

The chapstick will melt. Might try a tube or tub of Vaseline lip therapy instead. It'll still get melty but that's basically the consistency of Vaseline anyway
I've heard it's not good to keep plastic bottles of water in a hot car. Might want to research that

Deep cleaning a clean car
Careful with the chapstick. It will melt all over everything.
I don't think that chapstick is going to make it in the heat 😆
Silly idea: why not paint the walls in the garage? It will make it look finished. ☺️
A little tip from a friend of mine who is a car detailer, just to protect the outside of your car a little longer: try to look for a touchless car wash!! (:
