At least a $20 bill, but if I were going on a long road trip, I would try to have enough in there to get a cheap motel for the night, just in case. You can keep this in your first aid kit or somewhere else non-obvious to car thieves. - Small box of car supplies. Jumper cables, the minimum supplies needed to change your tire, a tire gauge, a quart of appropriate oil, and a shop towel.
I actually really appreciate the "deinfluencer" people who say "I promise you don't need ANY of these things! You 100% have all of these things at home already." Also, HATE greenwashing cause it's EXHAUSTING to try to find actual better items. BUT it is universally true that the greenest thing you can use is the thing you already have!
I will admit I am an airwrap owner and I struggled to learn how to use it. I almost returned it but decided to do an hour of research and with some practice, lots of patience/trail and error - I can happily say I absolutely love my airwrap. I use it at least twice sometimes three times a week and have noticed improvement on the quality of my hair because it’s not being damaged by heat. However, I never thought about how the airwrap is not meant for all types of hair and can definitely agree with that as well. It’s truly a hit or miss item.
I once worked in a supermarket, and at closing, we had to return all items to the shelves and restock. So when I heard about the restocking videos, all I could think was WHY!!!
I am one of those people who saves every "good box" I get from a pair of boots or jewelry to use for closet/bureau drawer/under the bed storage! I've been using some of them for at least a decade and if I ever need to replace them they're recyclable. Especially since nobody sees them except for me, why buy something new/expensive/plastic when I already have the boxes anyway? And if you miss having the clear plastic to see what's inside, you can always label them.
I love shoe boxes. They're great for panties and socks too, the bottom of my wardrobe is shoeboxes with my small clothing items, the konmari way. They're also really cute and if I buy 2 pairs of shoes a year that's all the boxes I need for life.

Maybe if I had been 10 years younger when the Stanleys were popular I would have wanted one, but in my 30s, I am fine with my dollar store water bottles (plural because I like to have about 3 in the fridge so I can always have a cold drink ready to go when I'm going out for the day). i definitely do have a lot of stuff in my car, but it's things like an emergency kit with jumper cables and fluids, some extra clothes and toiletries in case I'm ever stuck somewhere, the spare tire and my shopping bags so I don't have to pat for paper/ plastic ones. Those things are all stuffed in the trunk, with the front seat not having a lot of clutter and the back will usually have my weekly/bi-weekly recycling stash before I take it to the grocery store.

I admit I have around six mismatched reusable water bottles (when you're outdoorsy you tend to accumulate them over time) and they are where all my stickers end up going. I highly recommend Cotopaxi climbing pants. They are stretchy, durable, and can pass as normal pants before or after the gym. They also usually go on sale, if youre willing to wait. They are a bit thick for a summer hiking pant. But great for winter hiking and climbing
I do have to disagree on the Volkswagen point. The legislation in question was aggressively lobbied for by the American automakers manufacturing much larger and more polluting cars just at the point in time when Volkswagen had made a huge investment by building a large manufacturing plant to serve the American market. Notably the legislation only applies to small cars and the standards were impossible to meet. So sure, the cheating was wrong, but a smaller Volkswagen is still a much more environmentally friendly option than a large truck or SUV, yet those are not required to meet the stringent standards. I have questions...
Huh, I'm usually very sensitive to noises and I didn't hear anything unusual. I'm listening on phone speakers though and might just be in a particulate range that's is not very good on these speakers but I'd hear on headphones 🤷🏼

Like having a few fridge organisers so your salad draw is tidy and you don’t get attacked by things falling out at you after the weekly big shop because they are awkward and don’t balance. But restocking a spare bathroom with products in plastic boxes is ludicrous. Are they a hotel?
I would even go one step further with the Stanley cups and say that you don’t even need that first one because most people who want them already own a similar product that serves this exact need.

Stanley cups have lead in them. Absolutely no for me. I got a 60oz water bottle from Costco when I was postpartum because I was soooo thirsty all the time & I drank more when I didn’t have to constantly refill. So I see the benefit in having a solid go to water bottle, but multiple is ridiculous unless somehow it fits a different need. I bought a different one that fit in my cup holder when I went from WFH to working in an office. My Costco water bottle spilled like 6 times in my car within a few months before I gave in and bought a different one. Now I have the cup holder one I take to and from work and my home water bottle so both get use.
Your advertising disclaimers could benefit from better contrast and frankly, larger font. Having the small print especially tiny just makes it even more suspicous.
Let's see, in my car I do keep the ONE travel mug I own that actually fits in the cupholder, car charger for my phone, tissues or paper napkins, hand sanitizer, my gas log and pen, paper manual, sunglasses, spare N95 masks, duct tape, bungee cords, and in the winter, an ice scraper. The duct tape and bungee cords are because you never know when you might need one of those. If I could keep Narcan in my car (I can't because of the temperature extremes), I would.

If something is 'trendy' I automatically lose interest. I've drunk from old school flasks for years, I would avoid stanly flasks a. because they look impractical b. because I'd be like everyone else. I really agree with a lot of this. I do want to say those face masks while might be different styles been around foe more then a decade. Tho really only saw them at the Asian market when i was in middle school. An 27 now 😂. Everyone skin is different those personally i use once a month or so and my skin really enjoys it. But yeah the skin care girlies have way to much and most of the stuff isnt working for their skin type. Stanley cups have lead in them. Absolutely no for me. I got a 60oz water bottle from Costco when I was postpartum because I was soooo thirsty all the time & I drank more when I didn’t have to constantly refill. So I see the benefit in having a solid go to water bottle, but multiple is ridiculous unless somehow it fits a different need. I bought a different one that fit in my cup holder when I went from WFH to working in an office. My Costco water bottle spilled like 6 times in my car within a few months before I gave in and bought a different one. Now I have the cup holder one I take to and from work and my home water bottle so both get use.
Your advertising disclaimers could benefit from better contrast and frankly, larger font. Having the small print especially tiny just makes it even more suspicous.
Let's see, in my car I do keep the ONE travel mug I own that actually fits in the cupholder, car charger for my phone, tissues or paper napkins, hand sanitizer, my gas log and pen, paper manual, sunglasses, spare N95 masks, duct tape, bungee cords, and in the winter, an ice scraper. The duct tape and bungee cords are because you never know when you might need one of those. If I could keep Narcan in my car (I can't because of the temperature extremes), I would.
Loved this video, I'd love to see more on this topic and also about how the "underconsumption" trend is not the solution to our capitalist culture of basic consumption...

If something is 'trendy' I automatically lose interest. I've drunk from old school flasks for years, I would avoid stanly flasks a. because they look impractical b. because I'd be like everyone else. I like classic simple stuff. Looking like everyone else is just a way of selling out your own identity under the guise of getting yourself an identity.

Ditching the whole skin/makeup thing is not only better for your pocketbook it’s better for the planet. Think of where all that plastic goes when you get tired of whatever you just bought and ditch it for the next “miracle” product.

I do want to say those face masks while might be different styles been around foe more then a decade. Tho really only saw them at the Asian market when i was in middle school. An 27 now 😂.
Everyone skin is different those personally i use once a month or so and my skin really enjoys it.
But yeah the skin care girlies have way to much and most of the stuff isnt working for their skin type.

I have loved this channel and TFD's work for many years at this point but I must admit I haven't been watching as much because every single video seems so click bait-y and reactionary. It doesn't feel like as positive of a community anymore.
