    I love this Podcast again. I watch FlockTalk all the time and learned useful info. Courtney was the one suggestion there to mix pellets and I ordered Caitec fresh oven baked bites. They smell great and my Quaker likes them. Now I mix Harrison with the bites. 😊😊

      @PoodlesandParrots yes, open that bag and much aroma burst out. So different from other pellets. I need to try the harrisons pepper 🌶

    This is amazing and a completely different technique to stop them screaming from what i have read and even paid for before. None of it worked and I tried for over a year . Sadly i have to keep my screaming green cheek in a separate room until I am home (although I work from home twice a week so only 3 days) as he's too much to handle for my partner who has a child to look after so he screams all day. He was a rescue bird and I think he had a bad past . I am definitely trying these ideas. It's been 4 years of expense and trying everything imaginable so looking forward to trying something different as at times I feel like just giving up because I do everything by the book . Thanks very much

      I hope Courtney’s tips help you with the screaming and working through the trauma. I would also suggest making sure your bird has lots of fun things to do on those 3 days like create foraging opportunities, putting in fun toys (Mia loves sola or balsa wood toys!), maybe playing some calming forest music or if there’s a tv putting on a kids movie like Rio! I would also recommend a consult with bestbehavedbirds.com Sophie and David are amazing and have both also been on the podcast! They create an action plan to help you work through things with your bird and I recommend them 100%!😊 And check out more of Courtney’s videos as well🫶🏼 best of luck!

      @@PoodlesandParrots thanks very much and for all your advice and the resources. I have just recently got him foraging and also starting to finally play with a few toys like bells etc so I feel I've made some progress and I am hoping to build on it..I also bought the dog puzzles and that ball that was recommended in the video so that should be here soon too. Thanks I love their videos you both do a fantastic job. I shall see how it goes from here and that is always an option going forward 😊. The jungle music is a great idea. I usually just put him the radio on and his UV light but that's a change I shall make too. It's a good job she mentioned about another bird being a possible issue if that one adapts to screaming too. I was thinking about it but was worried about doubling up on the issues we have now .

      @greenwings.and.things Před 9 měsíci +1

      100% see a vet. Could be an infection or basically it is most likely a health issue that needs to be assessed
