I especially like the high ground because every time I take it the entire enemy team focuses on me and my team capitalizes on that by getting 0 elims.

Pretty sure the lower enemy elim count only means that they made more solo kills. One kill can make either 1 or 5 elims for the stats; doesnt mean that you are dominating them 5 times as much.
a solo kill doesn’t count as 5
@@buddha508they're saying that a solo kill counts as 1, not 5.... they're saying that if the whole team contributes to a kill, then that one kill counts as 5
The lower count means, that the enemy teams elims had an impact unlike Sojourns, who made a lot of elims, but was unable to capitalise on them.

And Im curious and first of all
Overwatch is objective based game. Its not always about kills. Yesterday won a game when enemy had much much more elims, all bc our teammate sombra made them c9 the payload.
A lot of people miss that. They go for kills over time
Can confirm as a support I've seen so many easily won games tossed away by people chasing kills on OT. Just to lose to the enemy team with less kills
true true, had a game this week and the enemy team wiped the floor with us, im talking 11 deaths per player on my team on average vs 4 for them, but they almost never pushed objective. we were utterly humiliated, but hey, at least we won in the end
My experience with low rank tanks is for them to point at the scoreboard, but only focus on elims, damage, and mit. They NEVER look at their own deaths or reflect on how much they run into the enemy team and out of their supports' LoS.
Too many OW players are hyper focused on hit markers and numbers.. thinking thats what wins games.. you can have 100 kills in a game and if your team never plays the obj, you lose.. simple concept but seems very hard for some people to grasp.

Elims are not kills and the sheer volume of ppl who think this is CRAZY 😂
The more elims things so far (after first round) appears to be to just be that more of everyone participated on each kill for our person's team. Enemy team seemed to have more kills where only 1 person or maybe 2 people hit the target
well first thing is you should look at all deaths as it's more accurate than elims, since you get an elim the second you hit someone and they die in a close time frame even if you didnt really kill them. so for 1 death there could be 5 possible elims on the score board. and then ofc the rest that's said in the video
Lowkey think that letting players view the other players stats was a bad idea. Took away the need to think about why someone may be doing poorly rather than just pressing tab and complaining about numbers.
nope. it's pretty great. doesn't always tell the full story but tells a general one and gives an idea to what you, personally, could be doing to figure out how to help turn the loss into a win. seeing where the team is struggling and seeing if you can adjust your playstyle is lovely. there's a good reason it's in most competitive shooters.
Tbf, when your aim isn't as good (low ranks), being level with the enemy has it's advantages for Sojourn, namely when you miss a rail gun shot, there's a good chance it will hit someone else behind them. With high ground, you don't have that second chance. But yeah, high ground is still important.

I barely play so i'm gold 1, and no one on my team will go high ground. its unbelievable how many ppl don't go high ground or complain about the heals when they face charge a junk 1v5 lol

Cant understand why metal ranks dont use highground.
I can understand the casual solos.... but I have friends hardstuck been playing since beta ow1 who I'm convinced don't know it exists on most maps. And any tips I give them maybe last for a map or two before they are forgotten.
It's also funny how quick they drop on maps like Gibraltar here they start high for def. But before the payload moves like 4 meters they insta drop to contest, no picks, not the comp for it. Etc... 😂

I've been in games where I've had 7 elims, but had been supporting my team's pushes and making key plays. I've had games where I got rolled til I clenched the game by going full robot and one-manning 4 guys off the cart in overtime. It's about the impact, not the frag damage. I've also done insane dps, but had no impactful contribution to victory. If they can reliably just heal it or rez it, it didn't really happen. I'm either amazing or booty cheeks with no in-between. Rip my teams.

Here me out, give zen 4 healing orbs but the total healing is the same so if you have 1 orb out then that person gets the normal amount of healing the orb gives but if you have 2 out then both get 50% of the healing with 3 33% for each and 4 25% for all players
oooh! that's very interesting, I like that idea. maybe up his total amount of healing (and nerf discord a bit to compensate for the increased healing), just so that one of four orbs, if all four are deployed at once, will do more than 5 hp or something, if that makes sense. yes there should be a balance between healing more people vs healing a fewer number of people but each person gets more, but... yeah :) cool idea!

I'm kinda surprised they are gold 1 with this aim on sojourn rail and overall awareness. I thought my aim was bad for a high gold a little bit struggling DPS (on support I sit comfortably in high diamond and just hit masters 5).
I play mainly ashe so if I don't hit any shots, there is no value, and sojourn has that spray and pray aspect to it, so maybe it's that I guess?
Maybe they don't really main sojourn and this is just a random game for them, because the sojourn gameplay looks almost like silver.

You can tell that he got to Gold 1 with his aim alone. If he wasn't allergic to high ground and understood the concepts of map control, point control, and ult economy, he'd probably be Diamond 5.
Commenting on the twitch commenter saying give zen 3 healing orbs. It would be a fun idea if he could use his discord on teammates and have 2 healing but not the other way having 2 discord

They should do with Zen what they did with Zarya bubble, where you can flex both orbs to either be double damage or double healing.

I am also a gold 1 Sojourn and I really don’t understand how the game thinks I’m on the same level as this guy. He hardly went high ground and he’s walking around like he doesn’t know where he is half the time… Can’t wait for the ranked overhaul next season
