- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new back to school prep where I organize several spaces in my house including my dreaded lunch containers, desk drawers / homework station, then I guess I decided to make a command center in our home - stay tuned to see how effective that is! haha I did a mini shop with me at Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, and Target where I searched for most of the items I got in today's vlog - and I also share my favorite lunch containers I have grown to love over the years including some I got from Amazon! Ooohh I‘ve been missing the lunch box videos last year! I’ve been watching them since Avalina was 4 and I loved that we got to know what happened in the kids‘ lives!

I’m a teacher for primary school in Germany and I feel like my students would appreciate such a gratitude journal😊 I think I will create one for them😄 Maybe I should make one for myself as well😂 I bet it’s gonna bring so many happy memories when you read that journal a few years later

My two cents.... buying a calendar rather than a dry erase calendar saves a lot of time and energy giving you the opportunity to list future appointments beyond the month that is on the board.
We can do that on our phones too 👍 Alex and I can sync our calendars which works out for us but sometimes I need to see it in teal life lol and I think it will help our kids too 👍
@@thewadsquad I was thinking more of a pre-dated wall calendar like something you'd find at Staples.

Against all the recommendations I have all three. Phone, paper and dry erase. They all suit three different needs.
Love this as usual. But the BEST moment for me was watching sweet little Meredith copy you cleaning the wall then giving Nicolas a quick wipe and then kissing him. Much love xx
Meredith is getting so big, and she’s climbing on everything…to cute 🥰 your organization is coming along way, for those lunch boxes now there will be measuring, so measure the biggest lunch box height on and width and then find a nice basket to line them up in ( you can put them in short side or long side in the basket) and then you can visually see what you have, just get one long and wide enough so that way you won’t keep buying them unless you do the one in and one out mindset….it works in so many areas of organization. Wishing you the best organizing around your house and just remember to have fun with it so you don’t feel so stressed 😩 or frustrated. I can’t wait for future videos 😊

I understand the struggle! I looked EVERYWHERE for a big calender white board. I actually ended up making one, I bought a dry erase paper roll with calender print at dollar tree and a $3 cork board at hobby lobby. It serves its purpose and I love it!

For lunch containers I love the yumbox tapas (4 compartment). My son has been using the same 2 for three years and will be using this year for grade 3. The sections are a great size and the insert are dishwasher safe and the shell is easy to clean. It makes it simple and easy to store.
That tidy lunch container draw makes me so happy looks amazing will make your life so much easier.

My friend does a discard one item each day in August. I am doing one shelf or drawer a day. Such a good feeling.
I have the smaller version of the water bottle storage shelf. LOVE IT! I use it for not just our water bottles but our travel coffee mugs fit as well. Makes it so much easier to pull what I need without having to pull all the bottles out to get the one at the back of cupboard (which is usually how it happens lol).

Kim, I love organizing inside baskets! I notice you have a challenging spice cupboard! Lol..my best organized hack is keep them all in a basket then I can pull it out to use them, stops everything from falling out of the cupboard. Love watching your happy energy!

I used those Command hooks, the ones you can restick and cause no damage, one the side of my kids desk for their earphones. I use the Command products for everything, even in my bathroom. They can be pricey, but I think they are worth it in the end. And I have a command center too with a huge dry erase calendar. Love it (when I remember to use it). I can't believe my kids go back on the 12th?!?! Like what, why so early??
