    Thanks for the video 🌹
I started an application for the September 22 intakes, received offers, and met the academic requirements but did not meet the English requirements.
Anyway, should I withdraw my previous application and start a new one on September 23? (i am not interested to use cleaning )
I started a new application two days ago while keeping the previous one and was putting in some details but have not submitted it. I suddenly couldn't find my new application.
    Thanks in advance

My son has a confirmed place but wants to change the course at same uni. We called the clearing line and they advised to email and wait! But waiting might mean places get taken up, why can't they action straightaway?

Hi, I have a question about going through clearing and changing both the university and course. The university I'm thinking about applying to has a clearing in-person open day for this but it's on the 20th of August. As you know results day is on the 18th. What am I supposed to do on UCAS? Am I just supposed to leave everything as it is, like not even decline my firm university? Because I want to go to the university I'm pretty sure but I want to wait until the open day to be completely sure and see how it compares to my firm choice.

      Good Morning,
If you drop us a private message, with your Personal ID Number, Full Name and Date of Birth. I can then take a further look into your account for you.

Still no idea how to obtain a 'Clearing number'. So you ring the Uni about a course...but they need your Clearing number. Is there a "Clearing form' or something to fill out? So confused 🙏

Hi there 🙂, UCAS clearing will be available for applicants who are not holding an offer (or applied just for clearing), or who get an unconditional offer and chose to decline it for 2022 entry. At present we are in a results embargo through to tomorrow (August 18th at 8:15am UK Time), however from this time applications will be made back live again to view in the UCAS Hub.
If at this point an applicant is in clearing, a clearing number will be visible in their UCAS Hub - however just to note a university may normally need the UCAS personal ID number.
Please find further details here: bit.ly/3sUuBmT
If you haven't applied for 2022 just yet, this would be the first step - and can be done through registering on www.ucas.com/students , and starting an application. If you have an application for 2022 entry submitted, you would not need to do this.
If any further queries arise, please do let us know.

What if I got the grades for both of my choices , can I still choose my insurance choice

      Hi there,
      Thanks for asking.
If you meet the conditions of the Firm choice offer they will confirm your place on the course. If you would prefer to go to your Insurance choice you’d need to speak to them and check that the vacancy is still available. Your Insurance choice becomes automatically Declined if you’re confirmed at your Firm choice uni.
If the place is available and the uni say they will accept you, you should then release yourself into Clearing and add the Insurance choice as a Clearing choice - the uni can then accept you on to the course; bit.ly/2XxhoCW

My daughter gained very good grades and has a confirmed place, but now wants to go to a Russel Group university. There are no clearing spaces available for her course. Can she defer her confirmed place, take a gap year and then apply to the new university without losing her confirmed place first?

Hi Jane, thanks for your message!
She's more than welcome to contact the Uni she's placed with at the moment to discuss deferring the start till next Sep - and if they agree they'll update her application.
However if she did then want to re-apply into the 2023 cycle, then the deferred application would need to be withdrawn by the Uni before she'd be able to submit a brand new application.
If she's not done already, I'd recommend contacting the Unis she's interested in about a Clearing place just to check if that's not possible for this year's entry.🙂

      Hi there,
      Thanks for your message.
If on results day you are holding an Unconditional Firm offer that you no longer want, you're welcome to log in to your application in the Hub and click the Decline My Place button to go into the Clearing system; bit.ly/3OLUTjq
For your information, once you Decline your place, this can't be undone so it might be worth checking that the new uni will definitely consider you first!
      Please note that all applications are Read Only during the following times/ dates whilst our systems are prepared for results day;
*18:00 (UK Time) Monday 1 August to 09:00 Tuesday 9 August
      *14:00 Friday 12 August to 08:15 Thursday 18 August
This means that you will not be able to Decline your place, add a Clearing choice or make any changes to your application details during these times.
