- In today's episode, we bring you along to the incredible city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We were so excited to see what this world-renowned city had to offer and our days there were some of the best on our Brazil trip!

We are Oskar & Dan, two boys from Sweden who decided to change the course of our lives, drop out of university and live life full-time. We're planning to visit every country in the world before we're 30 with an initial goal of 100 before the end of 2022. By the time of posting this video, we're both 24 :)

We started our trip in SĂŁo Paulo before heading down to Iguazu Falls and the Paraguay city of Ciudad Del Este. From there, we flew up to the "original" capital Salvador da Bahia and spent a few days on the local island Ilha Itaparica. We then finished the trip with a week in the fascinating world-famous city of Rio de Janeiro. All in all, our three weeks in Brazil were a blast and we can't wait to return!

I live in Rio. For living, for Brazilians, it's been a nightmare, unfortunately. It's really on of the most beautiful cities in the world, however it's been dominated by Drug Dealers and MilĂcia - military corrupt mafia. This horrible side combined with Brazil's current economic crisis makes living in Rio a total nightmare. But I understand it's great for tourists. I'm happy you had a good experience here.
Rio has one of the smallest, if not the smallest international landing strip in the world. You are between the corcovado mt. (Where Christ the redeemer is located) and the bay. So itâs either the water or the mt. Thatâs why planes have to brake really hard when landing. Stay safe!

It is Wonderful to live here. Nature, people, everything. I know 16 other countries and would never change.
Several times, I live in SĂŁo Paulo and it's a 40min flight from here to Rio.
For tourists it's amazing, it really has an special vibe. For the population, it's kinda dangerous depending on the region sadly.
You should go to Arraial do Cabo. You'd get amazed by the color of the sea water over there.

Great video and you are getting me excited for my visit to Brazil in February 2022!! I am now in Belize, am working my way down to Costa Rica, then Ecuador, down to Bolivia, over to Paraguay and into Buenos Aires for an Antarctica cruise. Then up into Brazil and back home in March. Every time I watch a video like this it reassures me that I TOO can visit these locations safely and have a great adventure!! Thanks guys!

Bobâs burgers is the oldest and most traditional fast food chain in Brazil, it exists since 1952! Much before the cartoon! Actually when I saw the cartoon for the first time I was shocked cuz I thought they were inspired by the Brazilian chain.

Glad you loved Rio. I flew there from San Francisco, where I lived, before flying to Capetown later in the trip. I've never seen so magical a city as Rio. He setting, the beach, the people, fantastic. I stayed on Copacabana at the Copacabana Palace and spent lots of time on the beach. After dark the city is amazing ,exotic, exciting! Loved every minute of my stay. PS I got scammed also by my taxi from the airport. Keep these videos coming. I can't get enough. Thanks!

Welcome to my favorite city in the world! Rio is such an amazing place.
It's unique!
In Rio, depending on the season and other things there is phenomenon called upwelling, that's why the water was so cold.
In the northeast, like in Salvador, ocean water tends to be warm all over the year.
Rio has the most incredible vibes I have ever felt anywhere. Please tell me you got to visit the Arpoador!!! That's literally the best.
Edit: Fun fact, last time I was in Copacabana I saw a bunch of Swedes there, too.

I love your videos and itâs great to see you both having such a wonderful time. Whenever you visit a country Iâve been to it brings back many memories. I was in Brazil in 1976 and spent 3 weeks in fascinating Salvador where we were lucky enough to stay with a local. Rio was truly a magical place. It was part of a 10 month trip backpacking around South America. Iâve been to 106 countries, including every country in North, Central and South America and was on course to see 4 new ones when Covid hit! Hereâs hoping for better times in 2022. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

I have a ticket to Rio in May and I'll visit the city and other locations in Brazil for two weeks. I lately have been a bit apprehensive about going alone but after seeing your videos, I am really inspired to take on this adventure. My Portuguese is not bad and enough to probably get by. I have no problem in Portugal. Its the safety issue that worries me but judging from your videos, I think I will be ok. Your videos are amazing and I like the your fun, upbeat and intelligent style. Iâm from south Brazil and before visiting Rio I had safety concerns too. After going there 4 times, I can tell you that the places youâll most likely gonna visit are super safe, and I felt safer than in most parts of my hometown. You shouldnât have any trouble in copacabana, ipanema, leblon and on any other turistic site. Also I heard that even downtown Rio, that used to be pretty rough, is getting better and prettier each day, with more and more tourists, so itâs another place worth going

Last month I went to Rio de Janeiro and the view before the plane lands is perfect!
I would drink açaà every day! And a curious fact is that, even coming from the north of Brazil, in the northeast (which was also until these days), it is much more expensive than here in the southeast.

If you ever miss North Sea beaches while in Brazil, you can always visit the beaches of Rio Grande do Sul state.
Cold dark waters, in beaches with dark beige wet sand that were drawn with a ruler, so straight and endless they are. No hills or mountains cutting the beaches. No islands, no bays, no peninsulas. Also very windy, which can means very low windchill in the winters when nominal temperature can get as low as 5 but with strong 50kmh wind to chill the bones

In northeastern Brazil the warm waters Equatorial do Norte and Equatorial do Sul (which cross the ocean from Africa to America, carrying large volumes of water at a temperature of 25 degrees centigrade); the cold current of the Falklands Islands is from southern Brazil to the state of EspĂrito Santo

If you ever get the chance of trying the european way in Southern Brazil, as Swedish guys to give an opinion
There are also some environmental cities with botanical features, also very diverse, I recomend The capital of eco-tourism: Curitiba-PR and the Graciosa train Way to the coast, which is one of the most beautiful ways in the world through the mountains and waterfalls to the beachy old cities.
There even are snowy places in the three states, I know you guys have plenty of it, it's nice to see different sides of Brazil.

I had a friend who took acutane in high school and it was a brutal experience to watch. Your face basically sheds its skin and grows a new layer. Its not the most fun to go through but your skin is baby smooth once its over. Completely reborn

After having lived in Brazil for 10 years, I moved to Hong Kong, where Iâve been since 2018, and youâre right, Hong Kong is also a beautiful place with lots of natural beauty. But Brazil still takes this one. I was lucky enough to visit 25 of the 27 Brazilian states (Brasilia included), and it is such a beautiful country!!!!!!
