    As grown adults, gatekeeping the ability to play with a toy gun from adolescents would be insane
    However, kids need to have the maturity to pay attention to safety and rules. Im in total agreement with the extra protective gear part

    As a father who regularly airsofts w my 2 boys, 12 and 15 yrs old, I'm a strong advocate for kids in airsoft. And it doesn't end when we walk off the field. We tech and modify our own replicas, craft our own gear, talk about parts and performance, and pretty much geek out together

      Bro You are the dream dad for boys out there. My dad used to buy me airsoft replicas when I was a kid. But due to the country's laws and firearm regulations and other shi made it impossible for us to find a legal site to play. When I'm now finally playing in UK, my dad can't come here. But I'm still sharing fun images and clips with him. I saw a family playing on mother days few weeks ago. airsoft really brings parents and kids closer just like other hobbies.

    As long as the kid can handle the rules and safety steps involved with airsoft, I see no reason they shouldn’t play!
    He said it perfectly at the end, it’s a good replacement for computer games like Battlefield and CoD. It’s a more active way of doing those same things with less antisocial communication, and more actual friendships to form.

      @@ClipzVR102 I have a few tips. Number one, don't go all out on buying gear. If you already have gear, you can just go to the field and play. So about the hurting part, here Yesterday I played airsoft at GE and this guy ran up and kept shooting me when he was like 2 feet away. Know I have a blood pocket like thing on my pinkie knuckle. But you don't have to worry some places have a certain amount of feet away. Now indoor or outdoor It depends on where its at. Do you have a certain place you want to go? Also do you live in GA? I am ex British military. I see absolutely nothing but positives from PROFESSIONALLY playing airsoft. The ONE and only thing I would say is a MUST is good facial protective wear. The only real danger with Airsoft is the loss of sight and hearing but with the correct head gear that problem is eliminated. Your kid may get a scrape or at worse a broken bone. That will heal and they will go on to live a totally fine life.

    Excellent video. As a dad who has just recently started taking his 12yr old to play at the local site, I agree with all your points.
    The one thing I'd add is, it's worth considering a bump-cap or helmet to protect your kiddo's head. Mine got shot up close, quite accidentally, in the back of the head by 450fps DMR and she was less than thrilled!

    Unfortunately I do not agree that kids should play airsoft under the age of at least 10. They are just a liability and quiet frankly, they mostly just get in the way and hide at spawn from fear of being shot. Of course there are a few outliers but they definitely shouldn't be on the field without parental accompaniment.

  • @jennnnn88
    @jennnnn88 Před 3 měsíci +2

    It depends. I am one of the leaders of an airsoft club for kids and I believe that’s the best option for them. They get introduced into the sport, learn how to manipulate their replica, tactics, how to behave etc. I see it as better option then just let them play alone on some field.

We also yell at them to keep their glasses on lol. They play just as good, if not better than some of the older people out there. We dont have an actual airsoft field where I am so we just meet at random locations out in the middle of nowhere.

Wasn’t till like a decade later that I found out people actually play with Airsoft guns for sport. I mostly just collect them now since there’s no fields near me and just shoot cans in the backyard with my nephews. Our backyard is covered with millions of used bbs even tho we use biodegradable they take a while to break down. Usually by the time they do we’ve already went through another jar of 20k bbs 🤣. I am fro.t he Netherlands. Airsoft here is 18+ and I am happy it remains 18+.
    However, if a mature 14 year old wants to join in, I am not gonna be a buzzkill.
    Its not about age, it is about being mature, social, aware of what you should and should not do.
    Some 16 year olds are more mature than some 25 year olds.....
    Believe me. If you have seen man-children compared to 15 year old boys who had to become the man of the house because of, for example, a disabled family member, you will know rhat at the end, its all about the person.
    Some humans need more time to grow up to start airsoft.

    OK look I seen you made with paintball it hits 10 times harder. I would say that it’s about the same as your 400 FPS replica and what you’re using for bb weight. In the United States, all paintball guns have to be under 300 FPS so usually markers are sitting at like 270 to 295 for FPS airsoft gun range variety plus you got BB weight paintball guns only have 68 caliber and 50 caliber paintball. There’s a lot more aspects for it to hurt your barrel your HopUp and your BB weight and spring. I honestly will say that kids from 5 to 13 should have to wear a full face mask like a paintball mask at. I’ve seen too many times where kids are wearing uppers and lower face protection and it’s just not sitting correctly where it’s supposed to be and it’s gonna be possibly falling off because her heads are too small so if anybody has a kid in here that they want to get into airsoft my biggest recommendation is that wear a full faced paintball mask. It’s gonna suck but it provides a lot of better protection, especially for the young ones when they turn 1340 when they’re starting to grow I would say let them wear half face mask, eye protection.

    Minimum age should be 12-13 and under 18s should have someone 18 over to supervise them signing the waiver etc. Also under18s are required to use full face protection. Those are the rules in the UK.

      It's similar at the fields here in the States, at least from my experience. However, 10 year olds are allowed.
      The general additional rule is "Don't full auto the kids."

    I feel like kids can play at fields any age in parties, while a hard 12+ rule on public games and 12 year olds need to be accompanied on the field by the parent.
    I have played to many games where 1 or 2 good people get stuck with kids who don't know how to work guns and their parents just have them on autopilot and don't care that their kids are messing up the game.

    Adults, Parents, Mental Health Field; What is wrong with kids playing "Air Soft" AF ? When I was a kid we played with toy guns that actuall shot projectiles ;
    Snubnose 38s, Red River level action rifle, Defender Dan a tripod mounted belt feed machine gun...These all had plastic bullets which fitted into a plastic brass which had a spring inside ..... On the Snubnose you placed a circular cap the brass and when the hammer made contact it fired the little grey plastic bullet 30--50 feet... Red River had a white bullet and you load five rounds into the tube the same way one loads a real level action rifle(like in the silver screen Western movies) After each trigger activation a white bullet would be fired and it traveled out to 60 feet then one ejected brass by using the level as on a real level action rifle( By the way the toy gun had a device inside that made a sound like a real rifle every time trigger was activated..... Defender Dan was belt feed like a real tripod Military machine gun , the white bullets had to be incerted into the black plastic belt then operator open the load port for the belt laid it in closed the port cover pull back the charging handle and start firing in burst (which the operator controlled by activating the triger as the white bullet exit there was a red plastic tub on the muzzle which moved in and out simulating flames like a real machine gun. There were several others out on the market . Whats interesting kid's parents and grandparents all were actual Combat Vets of ; WW 1 , WW2, Korea, Viet Nam, and a few insurgent operations conducted by the U.S Military. The most Vital Important Lesson they taught and instilled in us kids was these were toys and at the Same Time taught us kids the Beauty and Important Value of Life ; Human and Animals. Nothing is wrong when those I mention at the begining apply what the true Teachings taught by those mentioned directly above this entry . Here is a question of Thought to ask upon one self ;
    What video games do you support kids playing ? Before responding do justice by Thinking and really be Honest with yourself !

    Stupitidy and bad attitude does not go away with age. As long any individual child or adult is just trying to have fun with everyone else(not being selfish), anyone can enjoy the hobby.

    The only thing I slightly disagree with is that airsoft is cheap. It is cheap to start but if you really get into it then it becomes expensive quickly.
