This kids parent should have to face some kind of charges for the neglected mental health and for knowing this was going to happen. This is not the first shooting of high school students, if parents are not held accountable for their kids nothing is going to change. Yup, he certainly is!!! His parents completely failed him by not getting him the help he needed BEFORE this happened! Instead of getting him help they bought him a gun which is beyond disturbing!!! I can’t even begin to understand what the hell was going through their heads when they bought him that gun!!! The kid needed help and love and support not a frigin weapon!! He is very responsible and safe. If he had a mental illness like this absolutely not. His parents have showed no care from the Cop saying mom literally daid nothing to him 15 mins during talking to them. She also met with the office that morn and Counselor recommended getting help within 48 hrs and killed within few hrs. He had so many calls out for help. Too he said ge was seeing things and they had money and insurance but mom having affair and horse time instead

The kid deserves all he's given but the parents are the ones who could prevent this, he asked for help many times, and he was constantly fighting demons in his head, but the parents who are supposed to guide him said to suck it up. You know how hard it can be for people that are struggling mentally to ask for help, especially a 15 year old!!!! I am an adult who struggles from depression and anxiety and it’s hard for me to even ask or seek help at times! Instead of getting him a gun they should have gotten him a therapist!! They one hundred percent failed that child and because of that they just destroyed his whole life!!

He’s empty on the inside except for the demonic spirits that have taken over him a long time ago. It began with his playing violent video games and his torturing innocent animals. His parents knew he was very disturbed and dangerous but they ignored the obvious reasons to NOT get him ANY WEAPONS… but they were just too self absorbed and self consumed with their own sorry lives and failed big time on their own flesh and blood.
I certainly hope that family counseling is available to all these sad, affected souls. It's heart-wrenching to hear these tearful statements. I have no idea how painful this must be . . . but . . . I also know that healing is possible . . . and necessary since they have long lives ahead of them. I hope they reach out for the help they need.

I have to say. I went to Oxford for one semester of my freshman year and bullying was really prevalent there. This was years ago and I hope things would’ve changed. I ended up at a Catholic school where culture was completely different. Lots more support of people being different. Listening toAidens mom’s testimony I feel like things haven’t changed. I even wrote the principle of note about bulling, and that there would be a tragedy one day. This was back in 1994.
This boy had no friends, he was probably bullied and then had selfish parents on top of it all. He didn’t stand a chance , he never got the help he so desperately needed 😢

He is the only school/mass shooter that I’ve ever had even a tiny bit of compassion for, BUT Only bc he was crying out for help and his parents Knew it and they ignored him, they did Not care! Now I do believe fully that he has to pay for what he did and should never be allowed in society again, but his parents are half to blame. They knew he was suffering and they bought him a gun instead of getting him help! They deserve to be behind bars as well bc they could have prevented this! His mom had the nerve to sit on that stand and say that she knew he had problems but “nothing that was bad enough that she thought he needed help for”!!! So, delusions and hallucinations aren’t enough to warrant immediate medical attention?! So, the school also telling them that he needed to see a therapist immediately(that day) wasn’t enough for medical attention right then?! She’s a horrific mother and human, and a liar! Like I said, he deserves to be where he is, but his parents deserve to be sitting in prison too! Such a tragedy, all those poor people in that school that day and the parents who lost a child, I cannot imagine their pain. RIP to the victims and prayers for their families. 🙏

Also I have to inmates that have to testify are probably on some sort of medication, but they don't sedate them to the point where they can't understand the trial or what's going on. I truly truly hope Tate’s mother and father can rediscover their love for each other- and refuse to allow this horrific tragedy to take anything else from them. All of the families have lost so much. Listening to their stories- and allowing myself to cry with them as they take me, and everyone watching, through a parent’s worst nightmare… it only gives us a mere glimpse into the pain they will forever feel. As parents, for the health and safety for everyone- all the kids, parents, teachers, etc., teach your children the tools they need to get through hard times. If you can’t, seek counseling for yourself and your children. No excuse, is a good excuse. The one reoccurring issue in all shootings, is mental health. Even if we implement strict gun laws- that does not address the driving factor… mental health. Seek help. LISTEN TO YOUR KIDS!! It really can save lives.
I watch a lot of true crime or court TV. So much tragedy around. But every child case my heart just hurts so bad for these children thinking the worst thing I could ever encounter in life is something happening to my children. Not only something happening to my children but not being there when they are that scared. It literally is crippling to think about much less having to literally go through this. I don’t think that’s something you get past. My heart goes out to every single person affected this day. The parents are so amazing and my prayers are with you.

But I thought he was charged as an adult, right? I heard from brother who went to prison that if the crimes are committed against a child, at some point a guard will "slip up" and reveal the crime to an inmate. He said in that moment you could be 16 or 60 all the prisoners see is a POS who likes to hurt little kids.
It's no wonder why we have these things continue. These court proceedings are like LOOOOOONNNGGG corporate blah blah meetings. It should NOT take 8 hours to sentence someone. Kid should have been in court 3 days after the shooting, trial last for 2 hours, gallows in 3 days. Come on America, lets make some really harsh punishments

The Cop said he was shocked how she acted. Yes, dad too but mom's are out at a higher standard

I have to say. I went to Oxford for one semester of my freshman year and bullying was really prevalent there. This was years ago and I hope things would’ve changed. I ended up at a Catholic school where culture was completely different. Lots more support of people being different. Listening toAidens mom’s testimony I feel like things haven’t changed. I even wrote the principle of note about bulling, and that there would be a tragedy one day. This was back in 1994.
This boy had no friends, he was probably bullied and then had selfish parents on top of it all. He didn’t stand a chance , he never got the help he so desperately needed 😢
I'm so sorry you were bullied! I don't think this was the case for him as he never said so in the video the night before the shooting and defense never provided any proof of it.
There is not one single word uttered about this BEAST being bullied. He didn’t shoot people he knew at all, this is NOT a bullying trial. It was caused by his narcissistic parents, ignoring him and failing him on every level.

I can’t help but to agree with you. He is the only school/mass shooter that I’ve ever had even a tiny bit of compassion for, BUT Only bc he was crying out for help and his parents Knew it and they ignored him, they did Not care! He was scared at times, home alone, hallucinating, and needed his mom to come home! And she ignored him and blew him off! That is unfathomable to me! Now I do believe fully that he has to pay for what he did and should never be allowed in society again, but his parents are half to blame. They knew he was suffering and they bought him a gun instead of getting him help! They deserve to be behind bars as well bc they could have prevented this! At least he’s taken accountability while his parents still won’t! His mom had the nerve to sit on that stand and say that she knew he had problems but “nothing that was bad enough that she thought he needed help for”!!! So, delusions and hallucinations aren’t enough to warrant immediate medical attention?! So, the school also telling them that he needed to see a therapist immediately(that day) wasn’t enough for medical attention right then?! She’s a horrific mother and human, and a liar! Like I said, he deserves to be where he is, but his parents deserve to be sitting in prison too! Such a tragedy, all those poor people in that school that day and the parents who lost a child, I cannot imagine their pain. RIP to the victims and prayers for their families. 🙏

It is amazing he could LOOK at those kids when he had a gun but now he sits with his head down unable to look them in the eye after what he did?? I get more angry as I watch this and along with the mother's trial... It is upsetting! It really shows us WHO the strong ones are and people, like Ethan, who shoot innocent people are indeed cowards. I do have to give it to him that he owned the responsibility, scripted or not...but he seem lucid and look at the judge then? Also I have to inmates that have to testify are probably on some sort of medication, but they don't sedate them to the point where they can't understand the trial or what's going on. That's a known fact for anyone that has knowledge on how courtrooms / trials work. So, your comment is a void point. I'm not a follower, I look at all the details, circumstances and evidence.
The better response or explanation would be that he was too ashamedto look up and I could understand that point if that was your stance and would take in that consideration, but not that he was too drugged to pay attention or listen to what was said. So I respectfully disagree, but could meet you in the middle with being too ashamed to look up if that was the conversation. 🤷♀️ Maybe medication with the shame could be a possibility 🤔

My heart aches so very much for Tate’s family. I truly truly hope Tate’s mother and father can rediscover their love for each other- and refuse to allow this horrific tragedy to take anything else from them.
All of the families have lost so much. Listening to their stories- and allowing myself to cry with them as they take me, and everyone watching, through a parent’s worst nightmare… it only gives us a mere glimpse into the pain they will forever feel. As parents, for the health and safety for everyone- all the kids, parents, teachers, etc., teach your children the tools they need to get through hard times. If you can’t, seek counseling for yourself and your children. No excuse, is a good excuse. The one reoccurring issue in all shootings, is mental health. Even if we implement strict gun laws- that does not address the driving factor… mental health. Seek help. LISTEN TO YOUR KIDS!! It really can save lives.

I watch a lot of true crime or court TV. So much tragedy around. But every child case my heart just hurts so bad for these children thinking the worst thing I could ever encounter in life is something happening to my children. Not only something happening to my children but not being there when they are that scared. It literally is crippling to think about much less having to literally go through this. I don’t think that’s something you get past. My heart goes out to every single person affected this day. The parents are so amazing and my prayers are with you.

But I thought he was charged as an adult, right? I heard from brother who went to prison that if the crimes are committed against a child, at some point a guard will "slip up" and reveal the crime to an inmate. He said in that moment you could be 16 or 60 all the prisoners see is a POS who likes to hurt little kids.
It's no wonder why we have these things continue. These court proceedings are like LOOOOOONNNGGG corporate blah blah meetings. It should NOT take 8 hours to sentence someone. Kid should have been in court 3 days after the shooting, trial last for 2 hours, gallows in 3 days. Come on America, lets make some really harsh punishments

All the days of driving their kids to school, cooking morning breakfast, studying, helping out with homework, sports gatherings, packing lunches and school dances are all gone.
