1.
Waly, waly up the bank,
And waly, waly down the brae!
And waly, waly to yon burn-side,
Where me and my love wunt to gae!
2.
As I lay sick, and very sick,
And sick was I, and like to die,
And Blacklaywood put in my love's ears
That he staid in bower too lang wi' me.

I think I was there for this. Maybe 1995ish? I would have been seven or so. I remember my old man going straight to a music shop and buying the pipe music for Waly Waly. And now I play it too.

Also, I wonder where all those sailors did their musical training. I fear it is you who are led by bullschoite.
@@wadontchabukerov3355 , The music for the massed bands was arranged by Major David Marshall, DoM Band of the Coldstream Guards. The sailors were the Band of the White Russian Navy.
I'm a sucker for ludicrously massive triumphant music, but this video has me actually weeping tears of joy right now, more than a month into staying at home for COVID-19. Maybe its the mass of people.
Absolutely fantastic 💂🏻♀️🎶
