The singer Michael Kiske was just 19 when they recorded this album.. unbelievable
What's even more unbelievable is that he still sounds the same.
@@AndE667 Nahhh close but not that great anymore. Take a look at the "Pumkin United"
No This Andi Deris
Just know that
Michael Kiske, the Angel's Voice from Heaven!!!
Saw him with Helloween on Tour back in 1987,together with Overkill!!!
He was just 19 years old (and i'm 16) ^^
Classic metal, they don't get written like this anymore.
absolutely
@@mariov1347off course,no music will able be written this way, this is based on the old testament
@@FrancisAristotle i like it, and i agree.
They didnt even then.
Oh, man, I haven't listened to this one in forever. But you know what? I still LOVE it. In all it's cheesy glory! Man, classic Helloween was so GREAT!
They were a big deal for a couple years back when I was in high school, and seemed like the future of metal at the time, picking up where Iron Maiden had left off, pushing the boundaries on these big, grandiose, elaborate, melodic, epic, speed-metal songs. But then thrash metal seemed to pop up out of nowhere with more of a back-to-basics aesthetic, and Helloween kind of got left behind and fell out of fashion for a generation or two.
@@pietrayday9915 shit.. looking back on it, ur right. And the grunge came along and completely fucked everything
This isn't even one of the cheesy ones. Cheesy is like Rise and Fall or Dr. Stein.
@@adameves5970 Ha ha, I love Dr. Stein!
@@pietrayday9915 True. In retrospect, Helloween had everything going for them... they had Maiden-potential as you said. A big reason why they almost disappeared in the early 90s, was their lawsuit problems with Noise Records, which basically froze Helloween from 1989 to 1991. Therefor, they weren't able to continue on the wave they had started with the Keepers. And by the time they had settled stuff with Noise, the metal scene had changed :/
Long time fan of these guys all the way back to the 80's, I put them right up there with Maiden, talent wise. Eagle Fly Free another great tune.
Helloween is one of the greatest bands ever!! I love all their albums, especially the first three Walls Of Jericho, Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part 1 and 2. This song is one of their best.
Michael Kiske (the singer)has lungs out of this world.
Thank you for doing this one👍❤️
This song comes from the part 2 album.
Just love your reactions and sense of humor 👍😊
Stay safe n well!!!!❤️🇸🇪
Agreed, dude! Seems she's travelling on the song! And they seem to have fun, a lot!
I've been listening to this song for what, almost 2 decades now? It was nice to watch you guys hearing it for the first time, because as much as I'd like to think I'm burnt out on it, it truly is a one of a kind masterpiece among all of Helloweens Masterpieces. I'd recommend checking out the song Halloween, the other long Helloween masterpiece.
Finally HELLOWEEN!!, YESSS!!, more more moooore...
Very good reaction. Helloween is one of the original Power Metal bands. Been a fan of them for a long, long time. With that being said, I'll once again request a song from them that I think you'd really like.
#painintheask Helloween - I Want Out
Yes yes yes... I could go on but 3 yes's are enough. Nah fuck that,.. YES YES YES. I know Kel would relate to that with her upbringing
I WANT OUT!!!
thats a classic
I think they are the first band who made power metal.
@@elkardona I consider them the first. Some people think of them as the German Iron Maiden, but they are so much more. IMO Helloween is much better than Maiden.
I remeber the first time I listened to this song, it took me somewhere...indescribable. I love watching what it does to others on their first time.
This band is the cornerstone of today's power metal....And Michael Kiske´s voice is unique...best power metal band of all times...
It was a long story by helloween.Awesome...one of my favourite heavy metal band in 1990..when i was 16/17
You both are simply a beautiful couple and... listening to metal together you simply rooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooock!!! Blessings for you both!!! And long live Kiske and Helloween!!! \m/
This song IS FABULOUS, I used to have a Helloween band and we never played this song live because it´s pretty hard.
#painintheask What you heard was the full version. There are 2 albums Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 (1987) and Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2 (1988). This song is the title track from the 2nd album.
I came here to listen to some Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 songs, sadly just a song from Part 2. Part 1 had more powerful songs. Still fun, but nothing compared to "I'm Alive" or "Twilight of the Gods" (both from Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1).
Amazing song. Very emotional and touching reaction. The Heavy Metal is magic.
This is the full version of the song. "Keeper of the Seven Keys part 1" is an album. This song is in the album "Keeper of the Seven Keys part 2"
I hear this song since 1987 (20yo) and now at 2019 (52yo) I still like it. . .and etc song of Helloween. I'am from Indonesia and respect your react 👍👍
Go man! All respect from Lithuania (look it up)! Us uniting for the beauty of the art and behind a message like that is the hope for the world. The "right" globalization. :)
hell yeah, this is a masterpiece of the German Power Metal era. Helloween from Hamburg. A legendary band of the 80's. Congrats, Kel and Rich for your reactions 👍
Greet's Phil
alkrdy 30 years ago and still mindblowing.
#Helloween The Dark Ride - to show you the other side of the band with another singer, my personal favorite.
Btw, I requested this a few times, so thankyou so much for doing this. Love from South Yorkshire in England.
There are songs that takes through a ride. Kiske's voice, that Pink Floyd moment in the middle, wow! The intro and the outro… I'm glad I could hear this with you. Great choice. :-)
Helloween - Ride the sky (from the first album, kai hansen (the guitarist) was singing on that album).
Haha amazing to see you dive in to Helloween as not many do! And I stand by my request! Halloween by helloween full version ! You guys quickly grew to be my favourite reactors on YT so keep the love for music going
EPIC SONG FROM A BADASS ALBUM!!! Thank you!!!! 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥🔥🔥

I grow up with this band! And this is a absolutely masterpiece!
My pleasure is watching you love one another. Wonderful!
This song of theirs is their greatest!!!
What a tune, thanks for that.
You should watch the live version they made in United Alive. It's just amazing.
Grabs popcorn and sits down to watch your reaction....
..wasn't disappointed.
So great Andrew!!!! Wonderful to have you share this with us!!! Buttered, plain or fancy?
Wanna hear what these guys sound like today? Find "Pumpkins United".
They've had three different singers in their history. This song is ALL THREE singers. Majesty in music, I declare.
Thomas Poehnelt Go to Vimeo, type in Helloween Pumpkins United, I posted several videos there, I was in the front row. The song “Pumpkins United” is the video about 6:25 long 👍🏻
Thomas Poehnelt whoops, sorry, it’s this one: vimeo.com/290046653 6:22 long
Thanks guys...you are so awesome.
Yes!Nice reaction guys. The other big, epic song that preceded Keeper Of The Seven Keys (1988) was Halloween (1987). The confusion is that the albums' titles were Keeper Of The Seven Keys II and Keeper Of The Seven Keys I respectively
Wonderful wonderful 🎉🎉🎉 thanks .
I enjoyed your reaction. I think i cried at the end. I love helloween
This is a masterpiece
Finally somebody reacted to this song!!!!!
very good thanks for the reaction this album is amazing
Yes!! Helloween!! Love that band!!
This guy has one of the Best voices ever in my Opinion great song great choice guys
This brings up good memories!... sighs...
Even todays great bands influenced from Helloweens songs. Uniq voice great guitars - masterpiece!
Awesome!!!!!
Helloween are the godfathers of power metal. Keeper of the Seven Keys, Pt. I & II are two of the most important heavy metal albums of all time
This double album Keeper Of The Seven Keys 1 & 2 is among the greatest masterpiece of all time. A forever classic that helped me get through my teen years. My addiction for metal music kept me away from alcohol and drug abuse.
Helloween!! woohoo.................favorite helloween tracks hmmm........... I want out** Future world** and def. this one
Go for the part two!!!
Another awesome concept album👍
I can't agree more. It's like Master Of Puppets. You just have to go through it all, no skip.
Have you ever heard IF I KNEW by them. It is also a masterpiece
So nice to see a couple so in love,,,,,,,Rock On!!!!!
Kel listens to music the way everyone should listen to music
Lloré.
This was my first Helloween album. I bought Part 1 and Part 2 in high school. Still the best albums they've produced. Kiske is legend. Great reaction, so happy you listen to all my favorite bands. I'm going to request a band with strong influences from Helloween. #Edguy - Theater of Salvation
Helloween the godfathers of power metal. Best of the best /,,/
The grandfathers of Power Metaaaaal!
ya 2 are stinky sweet!.. You brought this upon yourselves. ;p
This song is part 2.
#1.) Halloween (Inspired 100's of bands, and made power metal a big thing)
#2.) Keeper of the Seven Keys
#3.) The King for a 1000 years. (The best of them perhaps)
I became a fan of Helloween in 1985 and bought all their albums since.
This is the whole song. I used to have the whole album, parts 1 and 2.
Respect, man. Here's to you v3ntilating a 1000 yrs more! \m/
Such an epic song, great vocal from michael kirske.
Great one, haven’t listen to in a while, still love it!!! You guys should try some Faith No More, like The Real Thing or Surprise You’re Dead
micheal Kiske is one of the top 5 metal singers.....hands down
I will say the number one
1 michael like
2 Bruce Dickinson
3 Andres Mato
Just subscribe love you guy s ,seen the mind crime video, love that album.but I all so love king diamond them, must listen to the full album,it's a story like mind crime. Thx love you guy s.peace and love.
Though Walls of Jericho is a more raw and hardcore metal album leaning to thrash metal, with the opener Ride The Sky and the closer How Many Tears stealing the show, the Keepers are a more safe and entertaining choice for first time Helloween listeners. Both albums have songs with a fantasy story line . Awesome musicians. Way to go guys! Always enjoying your honest reactions!
is part 2 😂 thanks
That's what I was like wen I first heard of this band I fellin
Helloween “king for 1000 years “
Live on three continents
That is amazing and the best live DVD I've ever seen!
I agree. But getting these reaction channels to ever go outside the box and react to it is close to impossible.
But they’ll do Metallica 30 times.
So sad
@@angryalanrants9574 I guess they review the bands/titles that will get the most attention.
@@angryalanrants9574 Btw, Kel'n'Rich are really quite balanced between the "mainstream" and the "underground". I would even say, with the benefit of hindsight, they are leaning towards the lesser known... so your complaint found probably the wrong mark.
Big G I’ll remember that next time I skip the next Metallica video they do lol
I believe you will never listen to a song so good as keeper of the 7 keys
Hi there keeper of the seven keys is my favorite song by Helloween.
Great band🤘🏻
Well done on one more killer reaction video. I can't wait for you to get deeper into power metal and try out some Blind Guardian (maybe "And then there was silence" or "Curse my name") and some Iced Earth ("Dante's inferno" or "Dracula")
great track
Helloween is so cheesy/corny, but so much fun at the same time. Both Keeper albums are power metal staples, and Michael Kiske is the best singer in the genre.
Hi Kel hi Rich, this is a great reaction Helloween is one of my favorite band please react to Tears of Sahara of Tony MacAlpinelive at EMG , you gonna love it.
Do a keeper of seven keys part one and two albums!
Hi guys... please listen Viper, the first brazilian band of Andre Matos from Angra and Shaman. Would be an incredible tribute to this Brazilian metal icon. And congrats, You do an awesone job here. Greetings from Brazil
Helloween, the pionerr of speed metal scene.
Thanks for ur reaction. Pure gold like the song. Thank Mr hansen for writing this. Based on jesus.
Yes, the quest of the Hero is loosely based on Jesus imagery... Michael Weikath acknowledged that once in an interview. The only correction is Weikath was talking because it was HIS song. Kai, he wrote the other one, "Halloween".
@@bigg2988 I stand corrected big g. Many thanks.
This is the kind of love I need
Yrahh!! That's the one!! :-)
Bit of info for you Michael Kiske was taught to sing by none other than Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. This is one of the classic Helloween songs which showcases Kiskes vocal talent. Absolutely brilliant. 🤘🤘
Um, that is absolutely not true...
As for showcasing his talents, I would suggest We Got the Right, from Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II album. He also wrote that song.
But as for Helloween, I would recommend Ride the Sky to get the full effect of their first era (With Kai Hansen singing), then Halloween (with an A!) from Keeper of the Seven Keys Part I and Eagle Fly Free from Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II album.
Utterly bollocks.
That was my first cd, I was 3 and could not go once.
it was probably 1991 ^^
They come from my city and I've never seen them :-(
Love the reaction! please react to "Burning Sun" also from Helloween. This song was recorded with their 3rd (and longstanding) singer Andi Deris, totally different singing style from Michael Kiske (singer of this reaction) but amazing singer on their own way. Cheers from Argentina!
Or did you mean #HELLOWEEN - "Midnight Sun"?
Nice 🤘
They played this song also on their last tour completely.
Love Helloween. I'll have to make some requests. I'll also request some Gamma Ray as both bands were founded by the same individual, Kai Hansen.
You've reacted to the song "Keeper of the Seven Keys" From the "Album Keeper of the Seven Keys, part II". Btw: If you are on a trip or something, and want to do another whole album reaction, Keeper part II is a good one. It's kind of fun and lighthearted, but it's a great album from start to finish. Also great one: Painkiller, by Judas Priest.
#PainInTheAsk Travel in Stygian by Iced Earth Alive in Athens
Btw..
Great choice with this one
Yours was a tremendous request as well.
Stygian....absolutely
original version too
Rafael Longen whichever version. The Alive in Athens version is also stellar.
I personally prefer the AiA version to the original NotSR version. Not to bash John Greely , I love his style , but I just think smedley's drumming and Matt's singing just compliment the song so so so much . And the fact that its Live Is just that much more insane
@Kel-n-Rich Listen to Dr. Stein. It's on Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2. Both of you would love it. Cheesy, but oh my God, so well composed.
The Seven Keys unlocked the power metal gate for me back in 1987 and I still love both albums. Lots of water under the bridge since the though. May I suggest #Elvenking? Any song, IMO they don't have any crap album filler tunes. Try #The Scythe(title track) , #A Riddle of Stars, #Dominhate and from the from #The Winter Wake album, #Rats Are Following, #Neverending Nights. Good listening to you all.
this is keeper part II
Another good German Power Metal band is Edguy and "The Pharaoh" it´s my favorite from Edguy and it´s more good songs from them! :)
I would defo agree. I want out is a classic.
I didn't hear stoner or doom metal, you should add that as well 😉. For doom, a lot of Black Sabbath would work, Candlemass is one of the benchmark bands for doom, "If I Ever Die" is one of my favorites from them.
For stoner (Black Sabbath works there too), I would recommend Kyuss (the kings of stoner) and The Sword. From Kyuss I would definitely recommend "Whitewater", "Demon Cleaner", "Rodeo", and "Phototropic".
From The Sword there is a lot to choose from and they are so rifftastic! I would recommend "Freya", "Lament for the Aurochs", "Mother, Maiden & Crone", the entire Warp Riders album, "Cloak of Feathers", and "The Bees of Spring" (which has a massive ZZ Top feel to it). That's just for starters, LOL. There are tons of great stoner and doom metal bands.
