Hello SIr. Some say to push at early timing and some other say to push at the highest point. Let me know your opinion, Please

    • @LoveHouseGreece
      @LoveHouseGreece Před 3 měsíci +2

I will help you with a detailed guide.
You have to hit at highest point. Early timing will have a lobing trajectory while highest point can be in more straight trajectory or a little from top to bottom. If you hit straight in early timing you will like hit the net. Another aspect of early timing is when the ball is not close to you and you try to reach the ball. This will lead into less spin because your hand hits almost at the end of its movement and the ball will not roll on the racket/rubber to get spinny. Early timing is blocking / driving. Any spin backspin or topspin is later timing.
Difference - conflict between early/late and highest point. Lets take example of driving/blocking
While driving you need early timing at highest point means you move in front while ball is coming and you should not stand so close to the table. This achieves this combination.
While blocking you stand a little close and you dont do such big movement as in driving, thus earlier timing again but short movement and less reaching to the ball
Similarly pushing => reach/hit the ball,
choping- heavy pushing backspin => wait the ball
but both cases you want highest point. The difference is your movement timing and combination of distance from table as described in driving/ blocking

@@LoveHouseGreece Excellent explanation..thanks alot..but im a bit confused.. at the end you said "both cases you want highest point" ..confused..since you first said driving/bllocking/pushing = ealry timing while topspin/chop = late timing ...!!
Whatt ist correct? block/push = ealry and topspin/drive/chop = late? ist this correct?

@@zizo015 I have to be more detailed i think. I know it is confusing because sometimes highest point and timing can be used to describe the same thing which is when to hit the ball relative to its height. But the correct thing is to separate them because term "timing" can be used to also describe how close to our body we hit the ball or else how much movement we do till the contact point.
When a ball reaches its highest point, it will take sometime before it drops. Especially if the ball is of high speed towards your body then there are a lot of different
timings where you will hit the ball relative to the space between you and the ball
This is the whole key for applying spin vs no spin
      Driving/flat hit/smash and push
The above are spin less or very low spin shots.
And the technique is to move towards the ball as it comes and we contact the ball almost at the end of our movement. Its is s frontal collision with the ball.
Since it is at the end of our movement our body/arm are pointing straight ahead just above the net. Thus the highest point of the ball is required.
You cant drive/flat hit properly if the ball is low or hit it before it gets high. You will shoot the net.
      Spin (topspin or backspin)
On the other hand, when we spin, we want to contact the ball while we are in the middle/half of our movement. After the contact, we continue with the rest of our swring/movement and this is where the ball rolls on our blade and spin is applied and also we give an elliptical trajectory.
We can spin the ball at highest point or when it drops a bit
      Pushing/ Heavy pushing
First is low or no spin vs the second which has backspin
The difference again is the timing of your movement towards the ball same as topspin. But now if the ball is short push and you need to heavy backspin it you have to go with your body to the ball to lower the gap between you and the ball so not to hit from far because if you do you will instead reach to the ball with your hand and hit it at the end of your hand movement. Thus cannot spin
      properly
We can separate the words by saying earlier, highest and later point. And then use timing for swing as described above
      So, Conclusion.
Always hit at highest point ( totally separate thing. It is just the safest and easiest way and best case to hit in a more straight forward movement which applies most power and speed as well)
      timing
For spin, adjust your movement to the ball and space between your and the ball by leting the ball come to you
For incoming short push, you move closer to the table if you want to heavy push
For drive/flat hit you reach/move toward the ball
Hope i helped and its clear now

Just a little thing that kinda "annoys" or distracts me: The blinking text from your website.
In my opinion, it would be a cleaner look, if you would show it in the beginning and then leave it. But that's just a suggestion from my side 😉

This push is so annoying. Some of my club players unknowingly have mastered this. Its very hard to loop. Just have to push it back

    • @LoveHouseGreece
      @LoveHouseGreece Před 3 měsíci +2

Those players will stay at intermediate level. The sad part is that in order to win this style you have to get to advanced level which is to be able to loop consistently any kind of push. In my club players of this type think
they are better because they win against people who try to reach advanced level by top spining /loopin but as i said, unfortunately till then they will lose many times.

@@LoveHouseGreece Yes, you have to take a backwards step to go forwards sometimes! Don't be scared to lose so much that it stops your development. People who are happy just to push and smash the odd loose ball that comes to them, will never learn to loop or drive properly.
