- I wanted to do a series using metallic colors using different techniques to showcase how different pieces can look using a similar palette. Today is a great piece and I can't wait for you to see it.

Today's Tutorial Information:
▶ Technique: Swipe
▶ Canvas size: 12x12 inches
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with a Pouring Medium for all techniques unless otherwise stated in the video. The ratio I use is 1:3:1 Paint/Medium/Water. I use Floetrol/Owatrol for my medium. For those creations that I use water only (again I will say so in the video so please watch the full video for more details) Water only creations use the ratio of 1:1 paint to water.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam: Lamp Black, Brilliant Blue
Pebeo: Copper, Silver, Gold
Cell activator for swipe is 1:4 ratio (Lamp Black:Australian Floetrol)

Now, this was absolutely to my taste and you made me have a new favourite of this beautiful series. Congratulations on such a stunning piece. I love that you added the blue.
When you swiped, an idea came to my mind and I got curious about what it would look like if you put the cell activator on one side of a comb and swipe with the tilted comb. What do you think about that? Is it worth a try? I would do it myself, but I have no access to good paints or floetrol here in the countryside of the DR.
However, I love your metallic series, especially this piece. Great job again and thanks for sharing 🖒💖

This is very nice and elegant looking painting. One query. Have you added silicon oil for creating cells? Do you not face any problem of colour bubbles coming out on the surface anytime? Do you advise using blow torch?

I'm a beginner but would to be able to produce something as beautiful as this. However these products are so expensive to get in the UK. Are there alternatives that are cheaper that would work just as well? Thanks.
There are many alternatives in terms of PM (glue combo) for CA you can use silicone, vegetable glycerine etc so it’s about experimenting and finding what’s best for you - hope that helps 🤩
What do you mix your paints with?
