It's a great night the undercard alone is one of the best card this year Fact! the chief support is a great fight with two young hungry undefeated Brits fighting for the British and commonwealth belts. The fighters and the promoters are just interested in their bank accounts, it’s not their job to protect the integrity of the sport. That’s the job of the WBC, which they are failing at miserably.

Spence vs Crawford, Lopez vs Taylor, Inoue vs Fulton, Lomachenko vs Haney... we've had some really big fights in 2023. Edwards vs Rodriguez to end the year... There's plenty going on in the sport, it's just that it doesn't get talked about in the media.

Fights like these are about capturing the publics imagination, its crucial to whether people will buy into it and watch the event. When simon jordan decided to appoint himself the policeman of boxing and start calling this event a "joke" and a "money fight", he is potentially taking money out of the fighters pockets by making the fans less likley to watch, all because simon doesnt like it. Its no surprise to me that the fury's have cut ties with talksport and have said that simon jordan wont get anymore interviews with tyson. He's shot himself in the foot really because he'd created such an issue out of this ngannou fight. If he had just said its not for him and shut up about it then thats one thing but for the last 6 months or so he's been sitting there like the moral arbiter of boxing criticising tysons antics, disrespecting his honour for not paying piers morgan a million quid, obscuring the facts around the usyk situation so it looks 50/50 (and not usyks fault for ducking fury) and criticising the ngannou fight. He has really only himself to blame that tyson won't be dealing with him anymore, if you slag off the hw champ of the world to prove how mentally tough you are and how you definitly weren't bullied at school, then don't be surprised when you don't get to interview him and talksport don't get to cover his fights.
Frank also wants everyone to know how hard Ngannou punches - he let Francis punch his forehead which caused that dent.

I am honestly not interested in this fight. I will probably watch the highlights but I would defiantly not pay to watch it. But I don't think Warren or Fury will lose any sleep over that as the Saudis have already paid them regardless. As for Fury v Usyk...that is just BS to drum up interest in this fight.

Frank is trying to justify the fight by saying its the biggest sporting event, but avoiding the fact that it is not a real boxing match, which is what 80% of real boxing fans are mentioning is the problem.

Everyone should stop saying Ngannou is the UFC heavyweight champion, his record in the UFC is 12-2, he defended the title once and walked away, he hasn't fought in 21 months

@@VileCAESARB well he clearly was, what good is being the crw and hw champ if barely anyone knows who you are? Besides the negotiations fell apart when fury wanted a 50/50 split in the rematch clause (which is the same split he got for the AJ rematch) and usyks people walked away because they "felt disrespected". A serious fighter who really wanted it would try to renegotiate that split (even though it's completely fair). Instead usyk got straight back on a train to Ukraine and told his management to come on talk sport to say that the fight didn't get made because fury is greedy. Usyks team have admitted this on camera so if fury said pull the plug, he meant because usyk wanted ridiculous money to fight. Realistically usyk was out pricing himself because he was due to sign with skills challenge in the near future and they would have paid him the money he wanted. That is, until skills challenge pulled out of sports and Tyson has signed this mega deal with the Saudi's meaning usyk will probably have accepted similar terms to what he was originally offered. Usyk tried to play games to get more money and it seems to have failed.
