I'm not sure what one does to become an expert these days, but this individual who claims that "the United States has a very, very large Jewish population" is flat-out wrong (I went back and listened to the interview again to make sure I heard what I thought I heard - I did). There are 7 to 7.5 million Jews in the U.S.A. That's a little over 2% of the population. As far as I know, even with the most forgiving perspective on one's use of the English language, that would not constitute a very, much less very, very large number. My concern for this kind of error is that it plays into other lies and errors that wildly exaggerate the amount of influence the Jews have on the US government and its policies. Those claims are generally nowhere near benign. I would not condemn this expert until finding out whether this was a slip of the tongue or some other kind of error. But if he continued to maintain that "very, very large" thing, I would then suggest measures be taken (for example, have either the Eurasia Group (?) or Forbes spend some time educating their experts).

The US has one of the largest populationd of THEIR people not people in total. 2) Israel and Jewish/Israel influence does have an outsized influence over US politics. The one thing I do KNOW, I've been BEGGING for someone of that "faith"/NATIONAL IDENTITY to come TALK to me and EXPLAIN to me what I'm "WRONG about", EXPLAIN to me WHY we give israel (a "FIRST WORLD" country) 3.8 BILLION DOLLARS a year INSTEAD of using it to fund ANTI-PEDOPHILE groups or Veterans groups or Women's Rights groups or a PLETHORA of other BETTER causes, EXPLAIN to me ANY of the stuff that is supposedly "non-existent" and EXPLAIN what other reasons people feel the way they do about israel? I am a PERSON OF COLOR, my grandfather was a CONCENTRATION CAMP SURVIVOR, so you CAN'T just write me off as "some dumb skinhead", yet I NEVER have ANYBODY that believes my OPINION WORTHY enough to come TRY to "adjust" it. I'm just supposed to believe a bunch of stuff that DOESN'T MAKE SENSE (well, OTHER than "conspiracy") because it makes people uncomfortable talking about it.. AND/OR, I'm RIGHT and people don't LIKE that... I'm open to being wrong, but again, I'm just not worthy enough, apparently... Just look at all of the responses I will get on THIS comment.. anybody who ASKS QUESTIONS or points out the INCREDIBLE HYPOCRISY and OBVIOUS APARTHEID going on, like Ben & Jerry's saying they no longer want to sell in ILLEGALLY OCCUPIED TERRITORIES (STILL selling IN israel though), gets INSTANTLY labeled as someone who "hates jews", when Ben & Jerry's is a JEWISH COMPANY.. how does that work??? How is it that retirement funds for average people are being threatened over this? How come nobody's really talking about it? With so many lies going around about what you must do to be saved, I wanted to share the truth about Gods word with you and maybe give you a better perspective on the Gospel (Good news) well the bible says it is appointed to man to die once and then the judgment " yes there is going to be a judgment you see God is a holy God and in him is no darkness at all..the bible says we have violated Gods law (ten commandments) and are guilty of Hell and seperation from God for eternity this originally began in the garden of eden. Heres the Good news though, God loved you enough to send his only son into the world in the flesh to be crucified for our sins..yes that's right christ was sinless and bore our sins in his body, because without the shedding of blood there could be no remission of sin. So he was crucified on our behalf he was dead 3 days and then rose from the dead, victorious having defeated death, and now is seated at the right hand of God interceding on the behalf of the beilever. So that whoever repents of their sins and puts their faith and trust in Jesus christ as lord and savior, will be saved from the judgment of hell and will have everlasting life with God for eternity. If we were talking about Norway or Finland, I would agree that there is no need to be the policeman... but the US is the number one country in the world right now in terms of global influence and interests, and since the US became a global leader, the world has become a better and more secure place than ever before, but no empire in history has lasted forever, so if the US wants to maintain that status, it cannot afford to lose ground on the big geopolitical map. Russia and Iran are clearly making significant measures, and perhaps China will follow suit shortly. Big wars create a lot of uncertainty, which usually leads commodity prices to rise, making Russia and Iran even richer than before due to their standing as energy suppliers, as well as increasing inflation, which is obviously against US interests. So ensuring that the good side prevails in Israel and Gaza, as well as between Russia and Ukraine, is critical to the US's status whether the American people want it or not.
