I'd like to use a fish finder out on a chartered trip in the Gulf.
Im sure the charter would have one on board, but you can use the kayak to go out into the Ocean! If your brave enough.
I bought this same kayak about 2 years ago and I love it. The only complaint I have about it is that it doesn't have a trolling motor mount. They sell this same model with a pedal drive system though for a little extra money. I didn't get that one though since I like to fish in really shallow spots that is inches deep in places and in areas with a lot of wood sticking up just under the surface that the prop would get caught on. It's a pretty stable kayak but i'm pretty clumsy so I don't like to stand up in it since there are a lot of alligators here and I really don't want to fall in around one. But i've taken it into rivers with high boat traffic and I haven't had it turnover yet even with assholes flying by at full speed making huge wakes. The only time you'd turnover in those situations is if you get caught in a big wake sideways, if you turn the nose of the kayak into the waves it handles them easily.
Everything said is true. I actually put a trolling motor on mine, you can see my modified catch 100 in my channel in a video called "I'M NOT THE ONLY ANIMAL FISHING". and "MY MOTORIZED KAYAKS TOWING CAPABITIES". check them out man. Thanks for the comment and all.
I just used green treat 3/4 plywood Thompson's watersealed it traced from the old rudder platform can handle a troll motor

Note to self:: DONT TURN AROUND!! LOL still a really awesome kayak...just bought mine today!! Im 6'1 220lbs...so i think ill be safe!! I dont stand up in kayaks so just sitting ahould be perfect for leaning over to grab fish or whatever else

@@OscarOutdoors We camped at Union Grove a couple weeks ago. A man went out in a kayak and drown. There were no witnesses. He was camped a couple sites away from us. I believe he got caught up in the hydrilla. Sad. I subscribed to your channel. I'll check it out. Fun seeing local videos. Keep it up. I thought this video was helpful.
