Heartbreaking Tale: A Stranger's Journey After Losing His Wife

  • I met Joe on a random Sunday afternoon a year ago. He was coming back from the grocery stories with two bags in hand. We started talking and he began talking about his wife's passing, a reminder of the burdens and grief the people you see on the streets carry.
    I couldn't quite grasp how Joe was so able to accept all the death that happened in his life, and I think you can see how it has shaped him. I hope we can take on a little bit of Joe's stoicism and acceptance in our lives, without the grief, or grief delayed for as long as possible.

    Such a wise man. I'm impressed. "There's only two things, that you can control in life. That's what you think and what you do."

      I dont really agree that you can control what you think. I cant sometimes and i get mad or sad with myself. Is that unnatural?:/

      I also dont think we can control what we think, not when it comes to the big things in life.
      You can control not to dwell over small things. But the big and important things? Impossible.

    I could not understand why anyone freaked out about covid. The fear mongering was intense but you have to be strong and not get caught up in that.

      @@undacuvabrotha After the first couple of "flatten the curve" weeks I started to get suspicious about what was really going on. Some epidemiologists were cautioning about how unwise it was to vaccinate during the height of the disease...it just causes viruses to mutate faster. Plus, I already had some prior knowledge of Faucci and his AIDS debacle so no way was I going to listen to him. Seemingly sane doctors were saying that the most vulnerable should be isolated and cared for and the rest of the population should be allowed to go on with their lives. Being somewhat cautious but nothing extreme. Well, somebody certainly had an agenda and life was not going to return to normal for far too long.

    Interviewer: “What happens after we die?”
    Guy: “Blank! Nothing!”
    also Guy “No one knows!”
    Make up your mind pal. Typical atheist arrogance and confusion in full display.

      How can it be arrogance if he literally says 'we dont know'' and 'know one knows' in the same sentence? Seems like an open mind to me. You mop.

      @@declanpricey The response “blank” and that “nothing” will happen is a statement that requires evidence to support it, which he of course did not provide, instead he goes on to mock/criticize those who say there is an afterlife, considering his own claim superior to theirs, that is what arrogance without any right to do so looks like sir. Also, you can’t make foolish claims without any evidence that “nothing will happen” and at the same time say “no one knows” that’s a clear contradiction that would only come from a confused individuals or a hypocrite applying double standards. I hope you’re neither of them sir.

    • @declanpricey
      @declanpricey Před měsícem

      I don't think you understand the meaning of arrogance my friend. The interviewer is asking for a personal opinion not for evidence on how the afterlife works. He quickly says blank being his personal opinion as he hasn't experienced anything that proves otherwise, followed by 'no one knows', meaning neither him or anyone else actually knows (truthful) and clearly open minded to there being something other than 'blank' the exact opposite of what arrogance is. Stop trying to act smart on CZcams ya wet wipe

      @@abu_fatimah44 I don't think he mocked or critiqued anyone. He said nothing than later said he doesn't know.. including himself.
