I didn’t. I wanted to showcase my height barefoot (now 5ft 8 3/4) and in shoes (which gave me almost 3/4 to a full inch). Assuming I wasn’t on carpet, which is what I measured on, I would’ve gotten 5ft 9 1/2 to 5ft 9 3/4. The carpet seemed to add 1/2 inch or so even though it should take away some height.
Still, Bayern, any sport can still be played to some extent even if you don’t fit the criteria for one. Just believe in yourself and do not let those around you be your boss.

Long story short....my dad measured me at 6ft 7/8 of an inch(a peep over 185 cm) this evening at 7:20 pm after I walked over 15 thousand steps today. I usually walk that amount or more steps a day and I am very active person! I got measured at my annual checkup this year at 6'1" 3/4 at 10 in the morning and I was already up for 2 hours that day. I usually tell people I'm 6'2" and nobody questions me at all. If I was listed on celebheights, what do you think I would be? What should I claim? It's been bothering me for a while what I should claim. I don't want to lie to people. Thanks!
It’s fair that you could possibly be listed at 6 ft 1 to 6 ft 1 1/4 since you are usually around this range in the later parts of the day and the evening, and it is certain that you are closer to your lowest height during this time. As far as what you would claim, it’s really up to interpretation how you represent your height, but I wouldn’t recommend anything 6’1.5 or over since this is within morning height range. Some people at this height would presumably round up or down, while others would keep the fraction in. As long as you don’t say anything 6’1.5 to 6’1.75, as this is, like I said, within normal morning range, you are all set to state your height in a respectable way for yourself.
It’s plausible to write your height down as the measurement during the afternoon - evening as your spine has likely compressed a good chunk throughout your waking hours. I think you should be good claiming 6 ft 1 - 6 ft 1 1/4

It depends, I was about the same height around that age (5’6), and only grew a few inches taller after that. I think it’s safe to assume you will get to around 5’7-5’9, but it varies for everyone. My final guess would be 5’8

I’m in the same boat where I don’t know if I have stopped or not, and I’m 19 next month. What I can tell you to do would be the same for anyone wanting to grow taller; Exercise, Sleep, & Healthy Eating are among the best ways to grow taller for someone still developing their stature. Just “treat it” as though you aren’t done growing yet, and if there happens to be results within a few months minimum, you can likely still say you’re on the way to becoming 6 foot, though not every person can or will make it there. It’s mostly about genetics.
Since you’re in a family with 2 short parents, I’d say you won’t grow more than 6 feet. The same was with me; I was taller than my parents and I only grew to 5’9 despite being able to grow more. Of course, it’s possible, albeit uncommon, to grow substantially after 18-19.
Assuming you’ve parents of normal or taller stature, this is highly abnormal. Otherwise, you are within the expected time period of height growth (you are not to grow anymore with shorter parents) but this is not the sole determinant of human height. I can envision you being a good 2-3 more inches, probably around my height, when you’re done.

Virtually everyone measures different, even yourself. You might not be standing straight or the flooring may add/subtract some height, quite a few possibilities. When I did it, I didn’t know about carpet decreasing height, it seemed as accurate as the Stadiometer in that same room. I take it if I followed the same procedure now in my new room with flatter carpet, so to speak, I’d get around the same result. So, it really depends on how and where you do it. They can be reasonably accurate or they can make you wish you never did it in the first place.

I would say 5'9"-5'10" sounds accurate....he is a professional pipe fitter and we both had shoes on....tennis shoes and mine were fairly worn out...He measured me at 6'2" 3/4 with them on....I measured him at a whopping 5'11.4" with them on! So I usually just take an inch and an half or 2 off of that....but still a solid 3 inch difference if not 4!

Depends on genetics, mostly. If you have taller parents, I bet you’ll make it to 180 - 181 cm (or around 5’11 - 5’11.5 where I live). However, if you have shorter parents, I think you already know the answer.
It isn’t a bad height at all! While you are mostly finished growing, you should be able to snag a centimeter if you’re REALLY putting in the effort, as most people stop growing around 18.

If you're 16, you're likely not to grow much taller. You might possibly get 6' but you're safe with 5'11½. Pretty decent height
