The whole world needs to heal from the loss of Charles, Tylee, JJ, Tammy and possibly Joe. We still have justice for Charles to be served.
they definitely inspire the value of being honest. they have never excused the criminals while always telling the cool aspects of their lost loved ones. /i can really see how colby misses his sister, the way rex and adam describe her - this world is really missing a smart, feisty, and adorable human./ppl didn't know adam's own siblings were lying to and about him just bc he stayed friends with charles and bothered to question oddities. /the ones that are saying 'she IS a good mom' 'she has a mental disorder' 'he was the ring leader' - - how does that help them to understand that she was cashing in, giggling on the phone, and dancing on the beach. good moms don't giggle about their gone kids. they don't spend illegal social security/life insurance, they don't put anyone above their babies. of course ppl that knew the 'changed' criminals have their own views bc they were there - whether once or many times. they pushed out family to ensure their criminal actions were hidden.
I feel so much better now that Chad has had to face a jury. Glad to see the dark cloud has lifted from Adam. Waiting for justice for Charles.
Laughed so much when Adam teased Rex about 'Loin fire'. Don't worry Rex, Chad's writings make us all cringe in disgust. Love the relationship between the two of you.

I enjoy listening to your podcast. Both of you are so encouraging and non-judgmental. In a lot of cases, the family of the perpertrator is vilified. I don't watch all podcasts, but Lauren and Dr. John, and Nate Eaton are up there. Occasionally I follow your cousin Meghan Conner, and have listened to interviews with Heather Daybell. Thanks for being so vulnerable, which usually helps others to feel more open to share their trauma!❤
Hey I just gotta say that I will no longer listen to Megan Conner’s opinions on the Cox family. Quite honestly I don’t know what she is trying to achieve. Her episode on Janice and Barry’s losing a baby to SIDS was painful to listen to because she insinuated that Janice was somehow culpable in the death and that the death was suspicious. How hurtful! I am venting here on Silver Linings because I feel safe here.
Congratulations on coming up on 1 year for starting this podcast. I love it. It has helped me through some of my family dynamics that is going on. Thank you so much.
I did start out listening to you guys trying to find out more about the case. Now it's a different story. I gotten to love you guys. I love your personalities and your outlook on everything you've had to endure. I love how every one wants to help each other through their difficult situations. I pray for you often. God bless you as you seek to serve the folks that are "Optimists".
Rex, you nailed it! Most everyone is very respectful in all ways pertaining to discussion around Lori and Chad. Through it all, we’ve grown quite fond of you two, and always will as h you the best. Above all, your two personalities compliment each other AND you are sincere and fun to listen to!!

Hello from Canada, I will watch until you are no longer doing pod casts. Reason being is it is so unbelievably how your both so down to earth and so real. It is very interesting to know that you are both so normal and to know that the evil in a member or a few in your family, can be so unbelievably crazy. And to know the other half is so normal. So to listen to you both make’s people understand evil can be right in front of you. Thank you both for your podcast.
Adam was droopy not anymore! Your happy voice and face a pleasure to watch! Rex, the voice of reason, imo has become more serious - I know you always have been but I see solid conviction ( and yes you've always been honest and upfront). You two have therapied yourselves, with loads of conversations, answering questions, etc, etc. You've also helped your listeners. The horror of the story is so diffucult to understand, I guess we never will because we are not them.
I would love an update chapter or two. Speculation or not we will enjoy it as we enjoy these podcasts. So nice to see two responsible men sharing their thoughts and feelings.

I had to distance myself from a couple of podcasts recently because of the contiinued bashing of your family and Chad's adult children. It had become so hateful and vile that I simply couldn't handle it anymore. I could only counter some of those attacks for so long, trying to add a more positive or open perspective. I can't handle hate. I can't handle folks who have closed their mind to other perspectives. I'm an empath and hurts my heart. I'm grateful for the way you handle this podcast. It takes painful situations and helps us see some positives that might have emerged from those experiences. Thank you!
Agree. The FB group has recently become worse unfortunately. It just takes a couple of bee atchers sparing with each other and misunderstanding each other’s words and going straight for the jugular and then other people are too afraid to comment on anything for fear of being attacked. I have also sadly observed folks leaving this once safe group. It only takes a couple of voices to ruin the experience for 99.9% of others that are tolerant, understanding and forgiving with a kind heart.
I agree..I can't take the negativity.I have also had to unsubscribe to some for that reason.
I have also found that I am bashed in the comments of these critical podcasts. There is no room for free discussion and some people are downright hateful toward the Cox family. I do not know the Cox family so why would I feel like I’m an expert on the subject?

Are you talking about your cousin Megan? And that she has implicated SA in your family? That is a hard me to confront. I was SA by my father at 13. At 40 I finally told my mom and she had a very difficult time with it. She believed me but completely downplayed it. I’ve had years of counseling to realize what he did was wrong and it wasn’t my fault. A very difficult subject to confront especially when it involves family members.
You guys are part of a big family world wide , talking and sharing is healing for all of you and your families, you guys have lost a lot of your family members, there are no winners in this case .
Just want to say that I love you guys & this podcast so much! I’m a new viewer but have been following your families case since I saw it on the news in 2020. I have now binge watched almost every episode since I found this podcast only a week ago ! I really appreciate yalls perspective & how real you guys are! Your podcast is def a favorite & I watch many that cover your families case. I hope you guys continue to heal & I am so happy this is helping you both! Keep on doing your thing. Also I hope you guys can one day mend all of any left of family riffs that have been created due to this tragedy. Especially with Coby. My husband passed away Nov.21. 2021,I just can't seem to get motivated to do anything.I know that my life is out of balance.I just want to be happy again. If anyone reading this comment has any ideas on this please let me know.I haven't been able to leave my house since he passed.Im afraid of everyone and everything...😔
Hi Cindy, I'm so sorry for your loss it's totally understandable why you feel like this afterall it's what and who you have trusted throughout your marriage and has been a large part of your life ❤. I would take some time one morning and make a list of things that you might want to do. Start off with little things like what you like doing maybe reading then you could write on the list visit the library. Any hobbies that you like? Crafts then write that down saying go to shop and buy some fabric. I know this sounds basic but it will help you to go outdoors and enjoy doing so. Make your list and take it slowly. cross each one off as you go. Keep the lists in a box for 6 or more months and you'll be surprised at yourself and how far you've come. I'm sure your hubby would be proud of you ❤ God bless and take care x

Love this. I grew up in a dysfunctional family and a mother that is delusional. This case hit hard for me.
Yep, my inlaws have similar religious delusions, however, they were much older, 55 ish. Everyone had moved far away from them, so they were powerless. Even the cult they were involved with kicked them out for being too extreme.
So true. All families have their difficulties and struggles. Great how you dissect behaviour and look at things instead of turning away from what is so hard to face. It is so helpful in understanding your family dynamics and in understanding our own dysfunction.

Just a thought … Has anyone in your family given Lori a copy of your book? I believe you or Janice or Summer could send a copy directly from Amazon to her. I know that you can’t just post a copy yourselves. It has to be sent from an approved book distributor. It may actually help Lori recover somewhat from her delusional state of mind which Summer indicated that she was still in from her interview with Nate Eaton.

These cops ! Playing victims because of what they found! If they would have listened to Charles three weeks earlier , all of them would still be alive! It makes me sick that they’re being portrayed as heroes in this case ! What a joke ! As far as I’m concerned they should be charged too for ignoring and failure to protect and serve. Chad had been talking to Lori everyday while she was in jail. I'm sure she told Chad that Colby had called her and was angry at her. Also Emma was talking to her too so Lori could of said something to Emma about it.

ADAM, I'VE BEEN THINKING AND I HAVE A NEW THEORY . I CONSIDER MYSELF AN EXTREMELY INTUITIVE PERSON, ESPECIALLY ON FEMALE BEHAVIOR AND YES, GUT.
I agree with you that Lori is too far involved in her Psychosis to ever come out without medicine, therapy and deprograming, which could take years or never. HOWEVER, I HAVE A GUT, INTUITIVE, EVEN PSYCHIC FEEING that Lori WILL come out of her delusion about CHAD (AND I MEAN, JUST CHAD), even without meds (although it will take an extremely long time.
Lori has ALWAYS BEEN THE ONE IN CHARGE OF THE MEN IN HER LIFE. SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE ONE CONTROLLING, MANIPULATING OR WHATEVER. CHAD IS THE FIRST MAN THAT MANIPULATED "HER". IMO, AS LORI HEARS MORE AND MORE ABOUT CHAD THROWING HER UNDER THE BUS, SHE WON'T GIVE UP ON ALL HER RELIGIOUS/SPIRITUAL MUMBO JUMBO,BUT SHE MAY BECOME ENRAGED OVER REALIZING CHAD USED HER. EVEN IF SHE DOESN'T GIVE UP ON WHAT SHE DID TO THE CHILDREN AND HOLDS ONO ALL THAT NONSENSE (YES,EVIL), HER HUMAN, FEMALE, "IN CONTROL OF MEN" SIDE, MAY IMMERGE AND SHE MAY BE CAPABLE OF RAGE AGINST CHAD. AT "THAT" POINT, WE MAY HEAR TRUTHS AS TO WHAT SHE ACTUALLY DI ANND WHAT CHAD TOLD HER. AGAIN, I HAVE NO REAL HOPE SHE CAN COME OUT OF HER FULL DELUSION, RELIGIOUS OR OTHERWISE. Last chapters and main focus on Summer healing and doctrinal truths about how we “should do unto others as is done unto us” .
Those slanderers of Summer are plain and simple MEAN GIRLS.
Everyone has family dysfunction. So do they! Do we all know what our family dysfunctions are??? NO, and especially during the traumatic times. We are more like living the trauma THEN processing it.
They want Summer to throw up all of her family dysfunction in front of the world. When in reality she / we are still processing and still learning as to what was and was not healthy and NORMAL. If there is such a thing.
They say “she can’t heal until she does “ perhaps they know what they are talking about, but what they Do NOT have the right to do is to tell someone how they should grieve. That is a universally accepted belief that everyone grieves differently , different time periods! They want answers and resolve. In my opinion they turned in Summer because she’s close to Lori and they want to find fault and place it where the blame lies. If they are going to hold her accountable for Lori’s actions. Them they must include EVERYONE that knew of the growing movement.
They said that Summer’s text to Lori the words. “ I will kill him/Charles if you want me to. Mean girls run with that text completely out of context of what the true and real events that were happening to the Cox family from LORI! The same lies that Adam warned them about. The lie being that Charles was having group sex with hookers. When in reality Lori was the only adulterer in her marriage.
Summer was being told by her sister that her husband was having orgies. How many times have many of us used the exaggerated expression “I’ll kill him! I know someone that’s used it occasionally over my life and to date she hasn’t killed anyone.
I come from a father that was at the minimum a Covert Narcissist. Not aggressively , but ALWAYS manipulated behind the scenes. Using other people to do his communication for him. I was that person that could speak for him.
I just told myself that my father was just immature in this area and others. I made excuses for him because he wasn’t that controlling or so I THOUGHT.
Not until I became a targeted person/Christian did my father rear his secretive, manipulative agenda. Through his persecution I became aware that he was a high member of Secret Society. The Book of Mormon teaches us about the Gadianton Oath to come up against Christ’s faithful followers.
So now at age 45 he began robbing, manipulating, lying, slandering me to my entire family and at age 65 I am stronger, more doctrinally knowledgeable. Best of all have established a SOLID commitment to Jesus Christ and can say that he is my LITERAL SAVIOR.
So I know what I’m talking about when I say that perhaps Summer is not even aware of the dysfunction. As long as there’s also some good going on in the family dynamic. It’s much harder to assess the dysfunction when you’re actually LIVING it. They want Summer to rush through the process according to their TIMING. Not Summer’s. Theirs!
