Few disclaimers/driver excuses:
1) this was the first street car I drove after this weekend's 12h race. It took longer to adjust to lower grip levels opposite of full slicks. In addition, not gonna deny I was still uncomfortable after all the crashes/misfortunes (full video coming in a few days).
2) On top of point 1, as you can see, it was very tricky weather, black clouds, slight drizzle. Later that day the track got shut and ambulance went on because the drizzle became enough to make the track wet.
3) As explained in the video, first time filming with GoPro 12, settings were still a bit off.
4) Sick car. Love it. Would love to go again without all the excuses from above.
Those aren't excuses man, they are quotes of wisdom from a very skilled driver... 👉 you😎
Don’t be so hard with yourself. Got a feeling that you weren’t in the best mood, which made your critics a bit more harsh. Nevertheless, great insights - so thanks for sharing!
Would love to get your opinion of an Emira with the "Sports Chassis" setup, hopefully it would address some of your concerns, but then you might find things like brakes etc are the weak link as you'd feel more confident carrying more speed. The Touring setup looks perfect for British B-roads, where the road surface is not good for stiff suspension (if you value your spine).
@mgcharoudin Emira V6 vs GT4 impressions?
It’s very difficult to jump from cars to cars and push them to the limits: You have my respect and admiration. Godspeed brother!
We only need Misha and Harry reviewing cars and we get an honest look at track use and road use.
Which Harry?
There is only one! Harry's Garage@@Heckrund
@@Heckrund Harry Metcalfe. CZcams Harry's Garage. A farmer in West Oxfordshire and a car enthusiast who has a really solid car/motorcycle collection. He was a founder of EVO magazine. His reviews are down to earth and capture the practical essence of the car.
We need Chris Harris back on CZcams and off TG

It’s very difficult to jump from cars to cars and push them to the limits: You have my respect and admiration. Godspeed brother!
You are truly amazing Misha. People don’t give enough credit for the ability to jump into so many different cars and be so fast. I’m quick at my home track in the same Porsche I’ve gotten used to driving for 3 years and know every single noise and habit, you are fast in a everything from bread van to a GT2RS….incredible!
Yes. The combination of very interesting cars (let's thank the owners too for tirelessly bringing them in) and Misha's ability to get almost everything out of them on the first try is what makes these onboards so great.
He's the Stig's Dutch cousin fr
Actually, the first two corners: fast left into braking slow right allow Misha to get the understanding of the limits. That's why he mostly overdrives those first corners.
@@phillgizmo8934 slowly decyphering the Misha code 😄

Seems to be the perfect British a/b Rd sports/touring car to me. If you're not an amazing driver and don't want all out performance, just something comfortable, beautiful to look at and still very capable for the odd bit of fun then they've nailed it. If you want a track car, stick with the exige.
The local roads to the factory are exactly that just perfect for thayv
Only thing I despise about it is the fact that Geely now owns Lotus.
@@mrsneakyburt6305 shame being UK norfolk brand that its gone didn't their boss lose his licence few years ago too

I’m sure they’ll come out with a more track focused version at some point
you go from a race car, to a sports car to a milk truck better than anyone. talented guy. wishing you the best from across the pond.
The owner did the right choice to choose the touring suspension for his use. Another youtuber has this car with the race suspension and also live in UK and he regret to not have chose the touring suspension.
There are two variants of suspension you can choose from with this car. The owner said is this is the "touring" (softer) version.
I believe that this valid point is overlooked by MANY, here
The difference between sport and touring is pretty big too. Different springs, dampers, ARBs, bushing and geometry - it drives very differently.
95% of these cars will spend 100% of their time on the road so touring makes the most sense, especially in the uk. The softer set up and less grippy tyres give it a bit of movement and fun at road speeds.
There will be more track focused versions of the Emira with us soon enough if you need any more.
@@adamthomas1323but being a Lotus the Sport option will still be comfortable and far more befitting the look of the car
These two variants were already mentioned in the video.
@@Fastvoice They did get round to it, but many in the comments have missed it.
Always wondered what's less pleasant. Touring suspension on the track or Sport suspension on the street. I guess that's the endless debate among Emira owners
Adjustable suspension on Emira and everyone is happy. :D
Drove a Sport on the street and honestly it was fine. Maybe the Touring spec is needed in the UK, but the Sport felt compliant enough here in France. Lovely car either way!
There is absolutely no point choosing touring suspension on a car like this, especially when you know the sport suspension on this car will still be comfortable. Even the 992 GT3 rides perfectly fine on the road despite its track credentials.
@@Soche2006that would drive up cost and weight.... sport suspension is the obvious answer until some aftermarket catches up
At least on Swiss roads I thought it must me the Touring, and I was very surprised after the test drive when I was told it was the Sport
Proper h-pattern gear box. Rare for the current generation of high dollar sports cars.
Always love seeing the pedal cam and your fancy foot work Misha.
Properly fast, but I still like the Exige best.
Buy one mate, and you will never like one again! Trust me, I know!!!
@@larslindegren5632why?
@@user-co9zt8mu2y The quality was way below average, things fell off and there was alot of squeaky sounds inside! And as a daily driver it was awful with very heavy steering! One crazy thing was that when someone parked next to you it was impossible to get in the driver seat because of the wide door and huge door sill! Take my advice; buy Porsche instead!!!
@@larslindegren5632 but for a track toy, its the best. Indeed not good for daily use
And you have to be a little person to fit in one. It’s not terribly comfortable if you’re much over 5’8” tall.
Great to see how your driving skills evolved. I really like when you’re kind of reviewing the car during driving by sharing your actual experience.
Such a clear difference in the second hand of the lap when you clearly got more comfortable with the car..you had a nice flow in the end✌🏻
This iteration of the Toyota 2GR V6 in the Emira is probably my favourite iteration. Supercharged, flat-plane crank just sounds so wonderful. Definitely a bucket list car!
It's exactly the same as the Evora since the S.
Misha's ability to effortlessly adapt to different driving situations and vehicles is a masterclass in automotive versatility. Whether it's a luxury tourer or a track-focused monster, he makes it seem like an extension of himself. It's like watching a chameleon switch colors but in the world of cars. Cheers to the owners for giving us a glimpse into these amazing machines through Misha's lens.
I love that your way of finding out the brakes are good and suspension is a bit soft, is to enter the first corner at 210kph and find out in real time haha
It is an absolute pleasure to watch misha drive and it doesn't matter what car he is driving its just a joy to see him in action thank you for allowing us to view this every day
Aannd there we go again. The gift that keeps on giving. Not even fanboying here, the content on this channel is just constant greatness 😁Major thanks to the owners too for bringing so many interesting cars!
That car sounds great and goes well. Thanks for sharing Misha.
What a pretty car and a very smooth lap! Thanks Misha for the drive and the owner for letting us join in!
Sounded gorgeous :) Also that suspension.. here we have to avoid the bits of road in the potholes so a squishy set up is a must! XD
Great video and glad the opener shared with you and most important of all, 3 pedals! 💙💙💙
Nice one Johnny and Misha, so cool to see you fitted this in to the road trip 😎🙏
I have a friend that has an SW20 MR2 with one of these 3.5L engines and it sounds frickin' amazing. I have an R32 GTR and of course love my RB sound, but that Toyota 3.5 has a special place in my heart.
My new favorite racing channel. So awesome for a professional driver to do this for people. And get the most honest live time review.
Patchy road conditions with unpredictable areas of low traction are seriously scary, even more so than a fully wet surface imo. Definitely wise of you to not push too hard. Car looks seriously fun for back roads, but definitely soft for track.
I love this channel. It is such a joy to watch the master driver in all these various cars. And the footwork on pedals is simply divine. ❤️🔥👍
"the car needs bucket seats"....1 second later the owner is glued to the door 😅
Amazing driving as always 👍🏻
I have been waiting for this😛
That V6 induction and whine was absolutely on point :-)
The tyres were tortured the last 3rd of the lap and I loved the G meter!
Camera set up is a nice change too, Loved the lap.
I suspect the Owners reactions were more due to the speed displayed in KPH than Mph just quietly and the seats too wouldn't have helped so Kudos to him for share his car!
Dreamcar.
Saw one in London last year and it looks SO awesome.
+Lotus knows what they're doing!
Testament to your skill & knowledge Misha, a great sum up of the Lotus, bang on!
Compressor whine, manual and Misha like always mastering the Lotus. Thanks for your thoughts on the "new" machine from Hethel.
People say: Lotus makes unreliable cars
Lotus: That's why we put a toyota engine
love the idea of a "light" GT in general and this one comes in a nice package even, want!
Love this car so much. They've really done a great job styling it. Hope to own one one day.
To the owner: do consider yo take it to the track. Nürburgring is such a different beast. I did a brands hatch trackday for the first time to get to grips with my car and it felt super easy and enjoyable. Then i went to nurburgring a week later feeling a bit more confident and that place felt like such a death trap 😂 i did 3 laps and it was terrifying. Start off with an easier track with run-off, preferably one you might know the layout of from watching races or playing video games and i promise you'll love it in this car. ✌️
What a car! Really enjoyed that Misha
I also just got my (very first) GoPro 12 :D I think it would be very interesting for many people if you could show us your settings for all the different angles. Maybe a video about all of your usual recording equipment?
I like driving this car in simulation games. It gives Proper lotus driving dynamics, and now has the power to back it up. watching this confirms it truly is a drivers' car...
Great film, great sound!
Love the Emira, by far my favorite modern sports car
I had to smile, looking at the moment he tries to shift 3-2 by pressing the steering wheel. After third try moves hand on stick. I always wonder how quick he adapts to huge variety of cars he drives. Keep on good work Misha 🤙
Anyone else watch the G force meter? Love seeing how great drivers move the red dot smoothly :)
there's a smoothing algo underneath. it's not direct output from sensors
Seems to be a very torque rich motor, looked like mischa could sit mid range in the rpm with ease. A nice beast
This is my absolute dream car. Amazing video
Wow the footwork is incredible
This is the exact type of channel I’ve been looking for for months now
Love your channel. Got to love a Lotus 💪🇬🇧🏁
I mean, it’s pretty predictable that the suspension will be much too soft for the track considering this is the Touring. Add to that the fact that the last car you drove on track was a dedicated track car and the difference will be glaring. Would be interesting to see what you think of the Sport suspension on track.
Overall, excellent video. The multiple cameras are awesome and the driving skill is immense.
Love that supercharger whine. Please don’t stop making this car, Lotus
Footwork is insane
Seneca blue and white is 👌
That lap you had on that exige (kids first car I remember) looked faster and more fun.
Would love to see this again at some point with a KW V5 or similar suspension upgrade. Also, please don't push yourself too hard into going fast in something you are not comfortable with! Giving that kind of information to the viewers, and conveying it in the most detailed way possible has way more value than driving slightly faster, at least in my opinion.
Beautiful design.
7:16 - I wish I could downshift like that... so smooth
Good to see it can left foot brake. My exige 430 cuts all power if you left foot brake, sometimes if you heel and toe too!
This is so true. My golf kills it the clio let's you do it
@@Itsallfun3000 even the 370Z (and the new Z) cut power if you left-foot brake. Probably for some 'safety' reason I can't guess at
@dielaughing73 I would think it reduces wear on the car. Its a running joke between friends and I if a hire car will let you play throttle vs brake. Throttle should never win right 😅
@@Itsallfun3000yeah, my Golf 1,9 TDI daily even does it. Probably all modern cars do, with the minor exception of _some_ dedicated sports cars.
@@stoneeh love that PD engine had one in my passat
Love the humour "like a big silly wing ?" yep its a road car !
"How about no silly wing on the back"
"Yeah, it needs a silly wing! " 🤣
I really love the rear view mirror.
They've really managed to make that V6 sound fantastic. I'll take two thanks.
Nice! Mischa, how do you keep yourself planted in normal seat while leftfoot braking? I can do left braking but stopped using it as body was moving around too much.
Always overtaking, Barely overtaken ❤️
Lovely sound
This is an exige in a fancy outift! Even the brackets where the doors shut are on the Emira chassis and you can see where the body is bolted on!
Closer to an Evora with a fancy outfit ....
You know it's going to handle amazing if it's a lotus but the looks are my favourite thing about it
(It needs a silly wing) that would be the emira gt4.
Can’t wait for THAT video 😊
I bought the Emira with the Touring suspension set up and Goodyear Eagle Tires as well. It would be interesting to see how you feel about the Sport suspension set up, with the Cup 2 tires that come with it. And of course on a dry day! ;)
Hope you drive sports suspension and michelin tires soon to let us know the diference it makes on th track
Yes! Love Hate Relationship With Lotus But Sounds Amazing!
The last real Lotus
Wow, never seen this channel before. I have no idea who these guys are but man that was some great driving!!
I like it when they keep on looking the speedometer, like I haven't done that yet...😂
If I had the money this would be one of the cars on my list for sure!!!
i wish have one, lovely so much, also his sound so nice for 6cyl
For someone who doesn’t go to a track, what do you do if you bang into someone? Swap insurance info or is it up to the owner to pay for damages?
Hi! Great video Misha! Maybe you could try to set you GoPro on "low" sharpness setting. It makes a more natural cinematic image, and the video suffer less of the CZcams re-encoding (which lower the bitrate drastically). It would also match more the image of the camera you use for intro/presentations. Give it a try one day :)
Jajaja i love how the owner looked at the😂speedometer
Mooie auto, Harry's Garage heeft er een reis reportage over gemaakt van zijn Emira V6.
Hopelijk kun je die van Shmee een keer rijden, die heeft het track pack en vult dan de tekort komingen op die je gemerkt hebt.
Cant wait for the Civic build.
I love how this looks and sounds like a goddamn spaceship 😂❤
Weapon, even without seeing the video!!❤
Can I ask why there’s often the necessity to place the speedometer so huge in the video edit? Which unluckily ends up limiting the most precious shot in my opinion aka the track one
@Misha when are you gonna equip the cars with a 360cam on top or on the dash?
I wonder how much better the sport suspension would be
I'm not sure if its the new camera or the telemetry graphic, but the track view was dark and difficult to see compared to your other videos
Nice that you got Joerg Sprave on the channel!
Ceramic breaks, lower bucket seats, and stiffer suspension, if the aftermarket guys are listening.
If Brembo, Recaro guys must be on to it.
it's kind of funny, because when throttle house reviewed this they had the sports suspension on the car and said it was too stiff for the road, my best bet is that if misha had driven an Emira equipped with the sports suspension it would have done alot better here
micha is the best man , wish one day to meet him
12:05 Hey, indicators!
Superb video.
Just missing a heart rate monitor…😂
Almost perfect is perfectly good enough for me.
And touring suspension.
If you lived in Britain you’d want it too.
Good work - roll on April 24 when mine comes…
… and driving skills out of this world 😎
Great video as usual but if i may put my 2cents in, new camera was a bit dark and i personally would rather see the front cam bigger and the speedo/rev window smaller. Easy to criticise i know, saying this with all due respect for your work man. Take care.
Edit: Changed it 8 minutes in lol 🙏👍👍
.
That gauge cluster is either too big or too opaque, reduce the value of either and it would have been nice 👍
Misha is calibrating the accelerometer. 😅👍
Congrats on the red E34 in the end that looks like an Alfa Romeo at first glance! ;D
do a 2023 10 auto v6 camaro rs if u can find it with the nPP exhaust from the factory just to improve the sound a bit
How was this compared to the recent MX-5 Miata? Thank you in advance!
Wow, new camera! Awesome, you can't really tell.
