Channel 4 Ident - Matchmoving Final Year Project

  • This video was created for my final year project at university. Many areas had to be researched to gather an understanding on the methods used to create the final video.
    The footage was captured by sitting in the boot of a car; PFTrack was my chosen piece of tracking software. Maya was used to create the geometry and scene in 3D; Photoshop was used to create the texture maps. Composite was used for compiling all the render layers together before any final tweaks such as sound which was added in After Effects.

    It can be quite expensive to buy, but if your a student you can get a free version or there might possibly be a trail version =]

    I'm not sure now, took a long time to do tests to ensure it was going to work, render time was 2 days. To model it and create the texture took me a few weeks as I had other projects on at the same time.
