In April when my husband had his stroke and was diagnosed with brain cancer I had watched your first coloring video , I bought a coloring book and pencils for him. I soon realized he vwas fast losing his battle so I started coloring. It helped me get through the last 6 weeks of his life. Now I've gone back to crocheting and coloring. Both get me through the long evenings. Thank you. 😊❤❤❤

You are a big inspiration to me. After having a stroke i found i couldnt crochet but after watching you and listening to you to never give up, i went back to try again and can now crochet but very very slowly. Practice makes perfect. God bless you.

What a colorful bunch of squares! That yarn would cheer anyone up no matter what you make with it. Your journal idea is great advice. I am an avid journaler and I use it in a very similar way to you. Once I write things down and get it all out I always feel so much better. Everyone should try it.❤️

Prayers needed for our black cat as for reasons unknown she has lost the use of her hind legs. My son heard a falling like noise and then noticed her back legs weren't working. He thinks the two cats may have been playing. The ER gave her some prednisone to see if that would help as scans were inconclusive. . 😢😢

Hi kayla, i think you just needed to honest with yourself and get your frustrations out in your journal. Then , by destroying it and disposing of it, you ckeared that frustration away!. So pleased you are much better mentally aswell as physically. Your boys will remember what an amazing, talented , brave, strong mum they had. But you have many years left yet to enjoy!. I have been writing letters to my estranged son in a journal , and it does help. I feel like I am getting past the depression that triggered. I'm still traumatized, but I am working through it, slowly.

Journaling is very therapeutic.
I am watching this Thursday night while sitting in a hotel. We are on the last night of our vacation. The area we are in there is a very large wild fire, over 400,000 acres. The hotel we are in is one of many that are housing all the first responders. This is in Northern California. Please keep this area and everyone in prayer.

It’s the Perseid meteor shower that we can see every August. It’s really something to just lay back and watch the dark sky for hours, enjoying whatever meteors you can see. I hope to get to dark skies for it again this year if it isn’t cloudy. (Up here in Ontario, Canada)

I have done that several times in my life. I was going to therapy and my Psychologist told me to write it down any way I wanted such as letter form or line by line. I actually burned them when I was ready and found it was very helpful to me. ❤

I agree with writing your thoughts down. However, I keep mine, no matter how dark. I think if my kids go through all my papers and find them, they'll learn what I went through in silence and maybe understand me better. Work is getting in my way of crocheting today.

LOL...in the good way. My dearest friend and I had a pact. We were both struggling single moms. Both our husband's and run off with other women and settled right close in our same small towns. So we had stuff to write! But we made a pact. Never read the other's stuff but in case of emergency we were to burn the other one's journal. Now we burned our own regular. But we both had kids at the house who did not need to see stuff.
We never had to cover for the other. And she did pass away at the age of 75 with a good happy life. But those journals kept both of us sane, happy and being decent moms for several years.
I enjoyed your company, while I was cleaning a house. Thats to funny, I am watching it on a Thursday.

About 9 yrs ago I started journaling, I even made vintage style journals and sold them in my Etsy shop, at first I wrote all about my depression… and once I started writing, I couldn’t stop, after three yrs of writing I noticed a big change. And now I don’t write about the sadness, I am much better.journaling saved my life. I learned from a university professor, that when you put your bad, unhappy feelings on paper, it will eventually clear your mind of them, and you’ve made space for other things. I called my journals (my brain dump) books, lol. I don’t make journals any longer, and mostly spend my time crocheting 🧶
The Perseids meteor shower always peaks on my birthday, August 12th. My own personal fireworks for my birthday 😊 love you ❤

A day late, but I always enjoy "visiting" with you. I agree that journaling can be very therapeutic. I like your idea of disposing of the journal because most of us wouldn't want our family reading our journals. I will never forget two of my younger siblings finding my diary when I was a teenager. I was so angry and embarrassed. I ripped it into tiny little pieces.
I agree with writing things down i did that when my husband got sick . I kept a journal every day of what was going on. When he passed i kept it a while but then i destroyed it. Im glad your journal helped you. I love the squares .thank you for sharing . ❤️👍

I did that too for a while. Written down thoughts are a good idea when going through frustration. I went to a counselor for a few months and that's what they had me do. Another thing they had me do was write letters to my parents to tell them what I appreciate about them. What l learned from them. I think sometimes we don't tell people we care about how we feel about them. At least if you write it down, they can see it later. No regrets.
I feel like I have run out of things to watch too. So I went back to a show that ended a while ago that I loved and started it over again from the pilot. The show is “Castle”… so after all this time I find it super enjoyable to watch.
