    Einkorn wheat has significantly more zinc than modern wheat. Much of the zinc deficiency is due to dependence on the modern wheat variety which is great for bread texture and price, but poor for quality.

    What KIND of zinc supplement should, if needed, one take.
    Yes there are food sources, and I try so hard to buy organic.
    It’s just not available all of the time.

      Zinc or Gluconate - 20mg is a good thing on long term

      @@BenTracol I hear you but the vid from Linus j Pauling indicates 8 mg for a female and 11 mg for a male 🤷‍♀️

      Laura - the values we state in the video are the RDA for the zinc. You can think of that as "what you absolutely need", but many people take more. Unfortunately, we can't say what level is optimal because the science isn't there yet. Dr. Ho does over some of the types of zinc supplements that are out there during the Q&A - chelated forms are preferred by many, especially to reduce gastrointestinal upset.

      @@runwayakitas Upper limit is 40mg. So somewhere between (15 to 30) is good.

    True we do need zinc and I use zinc 50 Mgs with magnesium that's 250 Mgs I heard it works great together 💓❤️🥰 ! .don't over do supplements with high MGS cause you could overdose yourself ! .so I decided to lower my vitamins Mgs! .

      Because the zinc requirement for men is higher, it is more likely to find men that are not consuming enough zinc. It was a small trial and it was believed that mixing male and female participants might make differences less apparent. Certainly, this study should be repeated in women.
