my childhood. i still have it
It’s a nice ship.
nostalgic sets
Hi Tony, great set and video, keep up the good work.
Thank you Steve.
Another cool video. Funny thing, the map in the captains cabin depicts the map to the canyon of the sichel moon from Indiana Jones, where the holy grail is located. What are these pirates up to? :-D
A cool ship, tho not my favourite design.
This is so nostalgic I really want this set
You should try to pick it up as soon as you see one for a fair price. The prices are just going up. 🤷🏻♂️
I had this set when I was a kid and loved it so much and playing with it so much wore it down and I had to give it away, but I just got this again in new condition and I’m so excited to build it
I’ll get flack for this, but if I had it new, I would keep it new and by a used one I could build and play with. Well…maybe not. 🤷🏻♂️🤣🤙🏼
Nice review.A small advice, you need a little better lighting, and when you move the camera to capture a different part of a ship, make a transition, and make the camera more static.
Thank you for the comment and advice. I was trying a new light, but it does not seem to work well. I’ll work on the transitions also.
Brick bread
I bought this kit back in 09, I just pulled it out of my closet, I still have not opened it.
What are you waiting for Jim? If you wait too long, it will be so valuable that you won’t want to open it ever. 😉
@@BrickTherapy Just like trains, real estate, a place to set it up, I also bought the Pirates of Barracuda and the Creation 3 N 1 Pirate ship, I have a few more pirate ships from the 90's that were built and but they easily fell apart, not a good design. I bought those for the kids and they played a lot with them.
Those are two sets I’ve purchased but have not built yet. They are on my to do list. I’m really into the classics right now. 😬
@@BrickTherapy Hopefully I can find my box of Legos in the garage, having and finding are two different things, I have at least two pirate ships from the 90's and a English ship as well.
I’ve hidden packages of LEGO that I ordered and didn’t want wifey to find out about them. I hid them so well, I don’t even know where they are anymore. 😬🤣😞
I wonder with they didn't re-use the Bigger Shark Model in the newer sets ?
I do like the bigger shark. My only guess would be cost. Most decisions for corporations boils down to cost unfortunately. 🤷🏻♂️
Not much difference between this and brick bounty.. which is better?
Thanks for the comment @TheRugghead. For me, it comes down to the figures. I prefer the Shark and Redcoats from BrickBeard’s Bounty. Doesn’t make it better, but it’s the one I would rather have. 🤷🏻♂️
great video, when this set was released i was 3 years old and i couldn't get it. Could you give me your opinion about a lego? I'm seeing lego pirate "renegate runner" where the set is complete but one of the sails has been replaced by an identical copy, but it is not lego. what do you think?
Hey gatolive, I will give you my opinion since you asked, but I want to share a quote I live by. Opinions are like buttholes, everyone’s got one and they all stink. 😉
I am a believer that you should do what makes you happy. If you can get a complete Renegade Runner at a great price, buy it and enjoy it for many years. If some day you plan to sell it, it will be up to the person buying it from you whether or not they are ok with an aftermarket sail. If it’s your belief to only own authentic LEGO parts, and the price of the set is really good, buy the sails off eBay or BrickLink.
You will make the best decision for yourself. Don’t worry about other people’s buttholes. 😬
@@BrickTherapy wow, tks for the advise. Im really liking your channel keep the great videos
Thank you gatolive.
Just got this for $20 USD, someone posted his sets on a Lego group on Facebook because he was moving out and couldn't bring his sets with him
Congratulations Alejandro! That is an amazing deal. 🤙🏼
The cabin could be removed for easy access to the bottom :)
Thanks for the information.
