Check out the Gits song Second Skin. An awesome live version from the movie Hype always give me goosebumps. Mia was amazing. She is so missed.
That song, along with Seaweed and Cut My Skin It Makes Me Human kept me sane after my boyfriend died. Truly astonishing talent. Her father has spoken about how Mia belongs to all of us now, and how happy he is that her music is still touching people deeply.
Second Skin is a breathtaking song, it's my absolute favourite. So glad to hear others also appreciate it so much ❤️❤️❤️
@@r-pupz7032 absolutely amazing song, especially the live version from the Hype movie. Mia was incredible, that songs gives me chills to this day. Cheers my friend 👍🏼
I found this after watching a documentary about Mia and The Gits. Her music spoke to me deeply, especially Second Skin, Seaweed and Cut My Skin It Makes Me Human. After I lost my boyfriend to an accidental overdose her music kept me sane, and when I developed serious social anxiety after the bereavement Second Skin was the one song that helped me get back out into the world
In the documentary Mia's father says that through her music, Mia belongs to all of us now, and he clearly loved the fact that her music still touched people deeply.
Thank you, Mia. Rest in peace. And thank you to her amazing father and band mates for bringing her story to us. Finally, thank you Casefile for covering this story ❤️
Reading this made me cry
What an amazing voice such a sad end to a remarkable performer's life - Rest Peacefully Mia.
Ya know how every now and then a case really sticks with you?
This is one of those cases for me. I don't know why. But it's always really broken my heart. RIP Mia.
I first saw this case on Forensics Files . Since then it has stuck with me . RIP Mia

@Aldo Philip Glad I could help xD
The Grits song at the end was a lovely touch. Perfect way to finish off the tragic story, on a positive note
This was sad but also a beautiful memorial to a talent gone too soon.
Her death was so brutal and senseless. Great work presenting her case.
I love how you played one of her songs 💕
Great voice!!!
This is so sad.
Just walking home, and snuffed out by a maniac.
The 27 Club just got a bit bigger for me.
RIP Mia
The song at the end was awesome, Mia was so talented.
Such a loss to the music scene ...thank you for covering this story ❤️
I'd heard a while back that Home Alive had been shuttered, but I'm glad that that was wrong.
This is really well done!
Good tune, RIP Mia
I appreciate this one a little extra. Thank you!
Vary sad case. I remember watching a documentary on it in the late 90s.
Love & respect 🇦🇺
We are in Alpine. Can we come now?
a very sad story
It's sad that Mia is dead now because she is so famous and talented.
Just looked up her band. What a shame, I liked their stuff, too. :(
Don't get me started on the 27 club 😓
dude knows he is a predator & belongs in prison, thats why he didnt go for reduce sentence
👏👏👏
Taken too soon
Well if I was a female in King County, Washington, wouldn't walk anywhere, ever. Had she not heard of Green River killer, I wonder. And she was the unlucky age of 27, to boot.
Mia was from Kentucky. She was sorta of New to Seattle.
Not out alone as a woman, but that applies anywhere, really.
@@tillitsdone Well, true, but most in that area must have been well aware of a predator on the loose. Those days, PSAs should have gone out, warning everyone, like they do when wild animals escape the zoo.
