Out of all the games I’ve played the first menu is the greatest. I can’t explain it. I get chills almost every time I hear it.
Hmm.. what about The Witcher 3 ?
Yeah this and Spider-Man ps4 are probably my favorite menu theme
I almost forgot Horizon Zero Dawn in recent games. Its main theme menu is amazing too. And at the end of the month we will surely be able to add two more with Forbidden West and Elden Ring
i hear it after every godamn time i get into an area full of particles
Bat chest chillz
Very rarely do we see a sequel to a game that can proudly be called a sequel now and still keep most of its original feel to it. DL2 is now and forever gonna have a special place in heart right along side DL1.
I respect your opinion dl2 doesn't really live up to dl1 but it's not that bad of a game I especially loved the parkour.
Nostalgia goggles firmly on... Lol your review of DL2 sounds like a description of DL1. DL2 has a better map and they both have dogshit story but its the climbing that matters (which is more fun in 2's map). The only thing it doesn't match or surpass of DL1 is the guns.
@@finn4435 u think dying light 1’s story is bad?
@@nitruuxnot that good but not bad either it's still better than dl2 imo but gameplay wise dl2 takes it absolutely
@@okami9039what’s bad about it
I like how the little tune at 1:20 plays a lot through out the game
The violins at 1:21 are my favourite part. The feeling of beating the game, finishing off Waltz and seeing Villedor in the back just hits different. To quote max0r, ‘This game is 10/good’
That eerie sound.. Damn!
0:50 gives me shivers every single time. I love it.
It’s damn near impossible to top the first game but this is still damn good, it really puts me in a mood…
I think it blows it out of the park.
@@TheStraightestWhitest same this game is way better than the first one
@@SmartShotgun that’s a bold statement
@@SmartShotgun nah 100% agree music was actually amazing and fit dying light 2 perfectly in all the story moments! Just finished the game and the music was just fantastic, wayyy better than the first game
@@DarkPhantom151 Sound design and music was better than the first one. There's dynamic music in DL2 (where music reacts to what you're doing, in this case music actually changes and picks up paces when you jump between rooftops and just freerunning in general). This was a stellar score
This music along with Aiden staring off into the sun over a desolate city really makes you feel the depression of seeing humanity nearing its end. It starts off hopeful and slowly dies down and trickles back up with what little energy it has left.
This is what happens when you have corrupt people in power.
Same😢
The music is basically saying that crane's journey came to an end and efforts to find a cure put to waste.
1:40 sounds like the dying light itself. Straining to unleash its glory, but stuttering and grinding against the darkness of silence. Its very fitting with the overall theme and vibe of the game.
Damn bro, you have any of those mushrooms you took left?
zoran t you are right

It sold me the game. ❤
Dying light 1's theme shows the darkness.
Dying light 2's theme gives you hope.

this goes unreasonably hard. also 1:21 would be a rlly good sample

This sounds so hopefull, mysterious, a bit empty at parts and yet still unnerving. It really reminded me of a bit of the music from left for dead 2 and dying light 1s following DLC. Cant wait to buy this tomarrow, i really do think this game will be great
If you have pc or a next gen console you should be good.

Man, 1:20 hits really depressingly for the world of dying light
In the first game you would’ve thought tht humanity inside Harran would have managed to survive and beat the zombie outbreak while it was sealed off from the world…
Only for it to have gone from bad to worse as the virus managed to spread all over the world and now the City is literally the ONLY place in the world where civilization is all thats left 15 years later
Tht part of the song makes you think how tragic it must’ve been for the ones that didn’t survive and how many had suffered during the apocalypse
I think you’re just depressed fam
@@xakune8357 bro its true though
I gotta feeling the composer has spent a lot of time listening and admiring the work of Hans zimmer and his Batman ost the similarities are incredibly well done
Mmm how similar to Batman
0:49 favourite part
You guys don’t understand. It’s different from the original for a reason. This is a world we have yet to explore. This theme provides a feeling of resonance and fear to a land that has yet to be explored. It’s representing a time where everything we know to be true has fallen apart. It’s a new world of loss and tragedy and fear that is palpable in the notes, yet still there is a sound of hope. Something that encourages you to tackle this new world and do over what lies within. It’s dark, foreboding, and hopeful all at once. Especially the opening segment. I absolutely love it for setting the tone that it does for this game. Nice job Techland
You lost me at anime
well said, this track is flawless
@@Captain_Chromosome where does it mention anime?
You must’ve smoked a fat blunt before typing this up 🤣
This makes so much more sense of the track it gives the theme a meaning rather than just being a song…
The violin sounds so graceful and sad at the same time it really makes me feel like I am aiden as a child when they play it during those flashbacks. It just fits the story so well. Kinda reminds me of the soundtrack from Todd Philips’s Joker movie. The way Arthur trudges the stairs to the music reminds me of how aiden trudges through his memories as a child to this music.
It sounds like the strings are barely hanging on.. like someone just found an old violin and tried playing from memory but the thing is about to fall apart. Fits the post apocalyptic feel so well.
I dont know why, but this track hit me right in the feels when i first launched the game. sat there for a good 15+ minutes before i actually started a game
Love how they made the way aiden stands in the main menu, it looks like he’s ready to go where as the first game crane is staring into the horizon.
I think they made them look and sound too similar tho NGL
The best menu theme I've ever heard, this will forever hit the emotions, especially the beginning!
Exactly but dying light 1 main menu was also one of the best.
It's so interesting for me to see all the little details that changed between the dying lights. The first game, Kyle was a government trained agent, who knew what he was doing and had proper training. We see the game through his eyes, and so everything in the game is styled accordingly. The music is digital and almost espionage themed, health bars and other HUD elements had a very refined feeling. You could always see exactly how much health you had, how much durability a weapon had, the ammo in the clip of your gun, it all was streamlined and efficient. In 2 though, Aiden, aside from some genetic enhancements, is mostly just a normal person looking for someone he cares about. His world is run ragged and dark. The health bar doesn't have numbers, it's just a red line. A weapon could break at any moment, and I'm not even sure guns EXIST now in the modern dark age..the experience feels natural and down to earth..and the music is quiet, and somber. It perfectly encapsulates the perspective of whoever you play as..and I find that facinating.
So how much weed did you smoke before typing this up
The librarian makes a good point to this in his black snow gmod video where if you play as someone who's more experienced, well known and better in the understanding in the apocalypse makes you feel less immersed since your playing as a character who already knows what's going on.
But playing as a character who has a less understanding of the apocalypse makes you feel attached to that character making you feel like your in the world instead of being a cool government agent.
the violin sounds like as is somebody found an old violin from before the outbreak that was dirty and tried using it and I love it
The composer literally Jerry rigged together a home made instrument out of a bike wheel I think to record those sounds. It's really like something people in the game world would actually make
1:33 is my favorite I wish there was more to it
It had that Last of Us vibe to it.
The violin reminds me of myself sometimes, on the edge of going into an all out barrage of tears but knowing that I must keep strong
Keep your head up, king.
1:20 is my favorite part
this ost is going on repeat when it comes out on spotify
Man I swear to God I was about to cry when I heard it
@@burnt_toasty5988 Literally the same case here lol.
I love Dying Light 2 As much as the first.
1:20 as soon as I heard this part while I was in the main menu for the first time after buying this game, it reminded me of The Last Of Us because of the similar sad violin melodies that also The Last Of Us had in the game
Dying light first was only the beginning of end of the world now part 2 little different but that's to be expected since people will learn to live with it and thrive and rebuild and I think they did damn great job . And there will always be haters no matter how great a game is.
Yes. This.
Dying Light 2 feels so overwhelming and inevitable. Like the end is here and everyone is just prolonging it. Or more accurately, the end happened a long time ago, and the world is waiting for us to just die already. Humanity feels so insignificant and fragile in Dying Light 2. It's so sad and terrifying in its own way. And I love it. It makes it rough to play a bunch though cuz that feeling isn't great to stay in lol. But goddamn they did a good job. The vibes of this game and the artistic direction are just art. Straight up art. Dying Light was the start and attempted prevention of the end, and seeing the failure's side effects...I can't really articulate it in a short comment. This game was very broken and seemingly rushed, but "good enough", is really the best thing I can say
The beginning is so beautiful I can't stop listening to it.
Shit man that music is something else, it just gives a sense of haunting and mystery. Like the world you found has come to trap you in its walls, entrapping you but giving a sense of light in the darkness. The first games theme is a banger to be sure but this is something that never leaves.
I thought it would've been impossible to surpass the first game but man what a way to start this game what a beautiful music intro. Also when spike and adien are talking in the beginning while sipping a beer and enjoying the view what a beautiful background music 🥺
Dying light 1 and 2 will forever be legendary 🔥❤️❤️🥰
I just heard it and loved it! Missed the old theme thu of DL1! Happy to play DL2
the pure masculine urge to hulk out against a horde of zombies is...unmeasurable
This gave me an emotion I never knew I had
Anyone else notice that it’s the same theme music from the first one just slowed down and using strings instead of synths? Realized it one day when it was stuck in my head and I was accidentally going back and forth between classic and new. Pretty creative.
I wasn't feeling it at first but this theme grew on me. Dying Light 1 and 2 both have very unique theme's imo. I really just love all the instruments that are used, it fits so perfectly together in both games.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys this kind of stuff! Thanks for making it available 👍
*Everyone gangsta till we get Dying Light 3 in the near near future*
Everyone's talking about 1:20 but why is no one talking about 0:50 its amazing
cos 1:20 is better
0:34 really does it for me personally
Loving this game bravo Techland!
One of the last games I played with my best friend. When I heard this again I got the chills from the great memories from this game. I will miss you friend (No he's not fucking dead)
I love the main menu theme it's so calming.
I love it so much it’s really beautiful
IF ANYONE IS STILL LOOKING FOR THIS SONG ITS CALLD “Mia” on the OST.
This music is just too good to forget like honestly every time I hear this I'm ready to climb and scale buildings like a lizard
One of the best videogames theme ever made. A trully landmark on videogames industry.
This song gives me a feeling like the world is ending quickly, but a small part of humanity is still alive, even though they are still alive, they are just postponing the inevitable end of humanity.
I’m not crying you are.
This menu music and remnant are top tier. Apocalypse vibes.
This music almost makes me cry every time I love it😢
As soon as I heard this on the main menu I knew the game was gonna be a blast
This song makes me feel a sorta sad hopefulness. Like someone fighting to overcome something soo impossibly hopeless that you expect a tragic outcome and cant help but shed those tears
I love this song and the violin song too,I always wait until I hear them both before playing😀
I miss Kyle crane very much....
Just WONDERFUL
When i feel some suffering of something and I think about something painful i like to listening this sound...❤❤❤❤
1:21 Mia (feat. London Contemporary Orchestra)
You are welcome :)
i'm waiting for the dying light 3
В ноябре 2023 года я познакомился с этой игрой и не пожалел, это прекрасная игра, я попал в то момент, когда игра уже была полностью допиляная:)
This, Night in the Woods, Halo: CE, and Outer Worlds have damn AMAZING title screens/themes.
It's okay tho nothing will ever top dying light 1 theme
this is better
First time i launched the game i was literally yelling in hype
Pretty good, def improvement over the first one. Reminds me of the Borderlands main menu music which is the goat
The first 30 seconds. Unreal
When Covid-23 hits
Year is 2036... didn't know things can get worse than the events of Harran. I wish there was a Kyle Crane outfit in this game.
i am sure Crane will be in the future dlcs, they have to add him somewhere
I've played a lot off game sbut the dying light story first dying light and second is very good and for the music it's great
Te cudowne zarwane noce z najkochansza osoba na świecie, pełne niepokoju i nadziei tak jak sama ta melodia
That violin puts chills down my neck like shizzz
It’s soo good because it’s claiming but also shows the fact that it’s sad that they live in a world full of infected zombies
This game's music is amazing
This is one hell of a theme song.
Esa música me hace llorar😔,y también me emociona a jugar la saga
This sound track gets me just as nostalgic as the og
Man a plague tale requiem main menu was the best one, so sad this one wasnt the best ive heard😔
Music really fitting for the end of the world
0:00 1:18
Wow amazing
I get emotional listening to this song
fascinating
The first dying lights menu theme is so much better. You can just vibe with it with excitement to play an awesome zombie game and also kind of get a feeling of dread that the world gives off with how the characters are just living such a hellish nightmare. Where is dying light 2s theme sounds too dramatic and more of a heroic theme.
It’s the perfect main menu music
Why does this feel nostalgic when it’s the first time hearing it
This theme is epic, almost perfect, BUT the dying light 1 menu is,in my opinion, better
For some reason the first 15 seconds of this theme really put me in Crysis vibes
I was able to get my hands on the game Day 1, and let me tell you, it was fun. Me and My friend did an entire run and tis story was so amazing that there were moments where we both were stunned with silence. I enjoyed every second of it
Dying Light 2 is a worthy successor of Dying Light 1
a true masterpiece
This goes hard
Say what you want about the game but hearing this and opening it up for the first time realizing it’s finally here is something I won’t forget
I many like this melody
You can feel the hopelessness. The end of humanity. Yet, small sense of hope
POWERFUL
It still has the same synths playing like in the Dying Light 1 main menu
Dl2 is ultimate Dying Light experience for me. Leagues above Dl1 for me
