Dudakova is an interesting pick! Gatto is a pretty big name, while Dudakova isnt yet at all, so I was kind of expecting to be on the other side, but, based on the breakdown and their respective resumes, she does look good and looks like she matches up well here. Definitely gonna look into that one!
Really close fight between a couple of primary grapplers so for me it came down to which fighter prefers top position and that’s Dudakova. It’s not a heavy lean, but I’ve got to pick someone.
Turkaj is not good. Since changing his name to “pleasure man” and an of he’s in a downfall. Took to much damage in the last 2 fights. He’s not trustable
I can’t believe so many mma channels thought Blanchfield had a chance against Manon. Look at her shoulders; they are developed like they are for throwing punches like a man. Plus she has an awesome attitude on winning.
Picking fights in hindsight is a whole lot easier than ahead of time. Sure a lot of people picking Emmers too but Nate the train made short work of him.

Ay, got a play I think youll like bro! Landwehr +3.5 is at -130 rn on DK. Emmers is dangerous, but most of his UFC fights have gone to decision and Nate The Train is tough af, and, like you said, Emmers tends to start slow and Nate has phenomenal pace and cardio and really tends to turn it up late, so I think he has a GREAT chance of at least winning the first or the third
I keep hearing people say Emmers runs him over and I can’t understand what the heck they are seeing… love that play! I think it’s a really close fight and I can’t imagine Emmets 30-27

Had a feeling you were on Virna, I smashed Loopy at -175, one of my biggest plays for the year. Took Erin at -138 (🙌) but if this line keeps widening I might hedge a lil. I like Vicky but I'm on Gatto, Vicky wasn't that fast or strong at Straw so I'm not confident how she does at Fly right now (still growing into her body).

A question about it Dudakova though, how much of her lack of physicality in her last matchup can be attributed to having a staff infection?

She looked fantastic in the contender series fight considering she blew out her knee early in the fight.
I dont think Tyson Pedro even counts as a "bad loss", his record doesnt look phenomenal on paper and I know he just retired and didnt look the best in his last fight, but he is/was stupid talented and looked like a serious rising contender at one point. I like Turkalj here too, that was actually my first early bet on this card😂😂

The Petroski-Malkoun is REALLY interesting. That should be a super competitive, well matched fight. Gotta be honest, I like Petroski in that one though. I think hes the far more tested and proven fighter, more well rounded, way better standup, better bjj, more ways to win, almost all the finish upside and way more powerful and explosive. I also think he has way better cardio than people give him credit for, everyone always talks about his cardio, and he has definitely gotten tired at times, but he operates at a pretty high pace and his cardio has always held up when it counts, plus he handles fatigue well and recovers quickly. Dont get me wrong, Malkoun could absolutely win, he has exceptional wresting, a clean jab and very good grappling cardio, and it is also a bit concerning to see Petroski fighting this soon after that nasty Pereira KO, but Malkoun hasnt really shown much beyond that jab in the standup and its VERY apparent in his fights that his opponents dont fear his striking/power, so it seems like his only obvious path to victory is to consistently outwrestle and control an EXTREMELY talented and strong wrestler, which is no easy task.
Also, Malkouns defense has been a little suspect at times, hes given up a few easy takedowns, had some defensive lapses on the feet, and has gotten rocked quite a few times (not to mention the Hawes KO)
You’re absolutely right about that! To be honest, I am pretty sure I’ve picked against Petroski in every fight outside of the Turman fight and I didn’t even want to pick him then… so maybe I’m over looking some of his skills. Malkoun will certainly have the better cardio though. I also like Malkoun’s jab to beat Petrowski’s looping hook to the target. Again, could be wrong here but I feel better about Malkoun. Hopefully we get to see who has the better wrestling in this one. Should be fun!

It’s certainly different, but it’s not impossible to use your jab against an opposing stance. But as for how all this works, I just highlight the skill set of each fighter, talk a bit about that, and then make a pick. It doesn’t necessarily mean in this particular matchup it’s a good path for them.
37:32, dude, if Weidman gets on top of Silva he's getting the submission. The grappling difference is too much. Also Silva is just all offence and pretty hittable. Slow AF Meerschaert boxed him up and subbed him.
Sure, and Weidman 5 years ago runs over Silva, but I don’t believe we have that same Weidman. I totally understand he’s got the grappling edge but at this age with the injuries he’s sustained, I lean towards the youth and power.
I could totally be wrong and I have been wrong before so if Weidman subs Silva you’re more than welcome to come back and give me the ol’ “told ya so” and it will be well deserved.

@@138MMA Dismissing a vet with skills edge in such a step down in competition is usually unwise. I remember how you picked BSD vs. Poirier with pretty much the same reasons. Albeit you were willing to bet DP, but only if the number gets better. The only reason the fight was even close is because Poirier was dropping for gilly every 10 seconds. You don't pick the up and comer just because. You have to have more reasons than that. Like for example you see clear technical advantages and a path to apply them maybe. Poirier was a HUGE step up in competition for Benoit. He was fighting people like Frevola before that, and not looking particulary great if I'm being honest.
If the MMA was that easy to predict bookies wouldn't exist.😂People remember the last couple of fights of each fighter and quickly forget historical data. I'm not saying Weidman will win easily, just because of his chin, confidence issues and whatnot, but this is just a good match-up for him here. And who knows how he'll look after there's no USADA in the UFC anymore. We've all noticed these changes in physiques in some fighters lately.
@kylestephens9593 look man, I make a pick for every single fight on every single UFC, Bellator, and now even PFL card (not including PFL Europe). I’m bound to get some wrong and I’m not the only person who picked BSD over Porier. I remember even warning people against betting on BSD. This is also a vastly different story. Porier hasn’t looked nearly as much past his prime as Weidman has as of late. Also I’m clearly not the only person on Silva over Weidman here… so it’s not like I’m saying anything completely outlandish here.
Weidman could totally win, but I think you can say that in just about every fight. In my picks with confidence sheet over on the Patreon I rarely give out a 10 confidence, when I do I’m yet to miss because in those fights I see no chance the opponent wins outside of a freak injury. I’m not listing Bruno Silva as a 10. Both sides have a clear path to victory and I believe that to be the case for every fight on this card.
I understand you’re probably a fan of Weidman, and it’s totally cool to disagree with me, I’m all for the open discussion. But also remember I’m making a pick in every fight and putting that out there for the world to see even when fights are close, I don’t have the option to say I don’t have a pick.
@@138MMA Yeah, and this is the reason I don't bet/pick every fight. It's impossible to get deep into tapestudy and the intricacies ot the match-up if you water down your attention looking through all the fightcard, let alone follow other promotions! I pick a couple of fights where I think I have an edge on the bookies and that's it.
I do agree tho, that having picks for every fight is a good content and people just like watching that type of videos. It's entertaining. :)
My first instinct in the DP vs BSD fight was to pick BSD too! I'm not that different, I'm not genius. I'm a dumb average guy. But I rememberd how often I was picking against Poirier in the past and was dead wrong and looked deeper in that fight and changed my pick after that.
Look, picking (and especially betting) fights right is not following the crowd and saying the most sensible things every time. It's good if you want to please the public and don't want people to argue with you nonstop.

Yeah… no chance they all hit, but if I can pick over 60% correct on a consistent basis I’m doing something right. I believe all of them have a good chance of winning, but I believe that about all my picks. 100%ing a card is very difficult though.

I suppose if I just went in and picked all the favorites each week my picking percentage would even out around 68% or so over the long term. That seems to be about where it averages out to be over any long term data sample. That wouldn’t be very fun though. 😂
@@138MMA I do think 6 dogs can win just not your 6 lol anton won first fight so he can win, dudakova striking is better than gatto imo, buckley speed I like for him, petroski is decent, weidman can sub silva, nate can win based on race if it goes to the score cards just like how cub beat dawadu, fiorot can win since judges are favoring strikers now and not counting takedowns.
@daniellebrooks7510 I don’t see Weidman getting it done at this age but he certainly has the toolbox to do it… of the dogs you’ve said that’s the one I’d be most surprised by. Won’t be shocked at all if any of the others do.
