My guy 138! Appreciate you brother, thank you for always breaking down these cards so in depth for us all. GL this weekend w/ your bets! 👊💸
🙏 The good folks such as yourself are why I do it. Thanks for stopping by my friend. 👊
pereira first round KO
Heck yeah brother! Hopefully before you can even finish your root beer.
Agreed, I got Pereira. I really like Jiri, and he did look pretty solid in the first matchup, but Alex still got it done at the end of the day and even if the stoppage WAS early the end was imminent, but my biggest reason for liking Alex her is Jiris last fight; he was getting TOUCHED TF UP in that one and if he brings that striking defense, or anything remotely close to it, intobthe cage vs Alex its gonna be a PROBLEM. Great price on Alex, given the circumstances!
I also just don’t think we are going to see Jiri come out shooting takedowns constantly either so he’s going to be in a position where he may come to that realization but I believe it will be too late by then.
@@138MMA I totally agree, also, I hear people talking about how Jiri tapped Glover and I think thats giving the impression that his grappling is a bit better than it really is and I think, while Alex's grappling is relatively untested, he may be quite a bit better than people are giving him credit for. I dont think hes gonna come out looking like Ryan Hall or Anthony Smith or anything like that, but he is the protege of Glover, who is a PHENOMENAL grappler, and he apparently REALLY impressed DC with his td defense, so I think some Derrick Lewis-esque defensive grappling, or maybe even a bit better, is extremely possible.
@JD-bx7ob people also neglect to mention that the reason Jiri tapped Glover wasn’t because he was the better grappler, it was because Glover was absolutely dead from exhaustion.

👍👍
If Alex wins, do you think he should be number 1 pound for pound? And how are you picking Alex to win?
Islam is still pound for pound number one in my book. He’s on a winning streak in the UFC that includes more wins than Pereira has had fights in his entire MMA career. Alex makes a good case for himself though and if he can string together a couple more he might take that spot based on him being one of the most active fighters AND he’s beating top competition. He’s just not there yet.
As for how I think he wins, it will be a KO/TKO at some point, just hard to say when. I don’t think anyone with the striking defense of Jiri could make it 5 rounds with Pereira and lose no matter how durable they are. Jiri could win a decision, I just can’t see him losing one.
If the numbers line up right you can play Alex by KO and Jiri moneyline to profit either way.
That’s how I played Pavlovich and Volkov on the last card.
@@138MMAI hate to say it, but Im with Dana on this one💯 Until Jon Jones retires or gets beat I dont think you can legitimately put anyone over him in the P4P discussion, his resume is completely unmatched among active competitors🤷♂️
@JD-bx7ob it’s just so tarnished at this point. I get it though, Jones has an impressive resume, but for me it’s Islam who is the best now.
@@138MMA 🤷♂️to each their own, Ive got Jones over Islam by a landslide tbh, but I respect your opinion
Jiri subbed glover if he comes in looking to grapple he could take it so its a pass for me
He didn’t sub Glover because he was a better grappler. He subbed Glover because the man was dead tired.
@@138MMA I don't like periera grappling hole against anyone but a pure striker so if he fights guskov he is my pick
@daniellebrooks7510 he’s done pretty well for himself thus far. Jiri isn’t exactly a grapple first kind of guy. Not saying Jiri CANT go out there and grapple him. I do believe he will try to strike with him though.
@@138MMA if you want to win a fight you need to come in with the best gameplan we watched jiri get ko in the first fight in fight #2 I think he should realize if I want a chance I need to grapple and maybe I get a choke worst case a decision I mean blackowics took periera down

Bro jiri was bodying Alex in r1 …:
I’d say he was looking good, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say he was bodying him. It wasn’t that drastic.
Then he lost abruptly
