This is an Advance Wars ROM hack featuring Fire Emblem units. It is made by Kartal.

I'd like to see more fire emblem wars. It's interesting how its balanced in way so its not a direct 1-for-1 advance wars.

This game seems pretty fun. I think the person making it has done a great job of transfering FE into the AW game while keeping it unique.
Only Problem i see is with the counter heavy focus. Yes i see where its comming from but soly relying ob these counters can feel very bad, if you dont have the right units and a long way to transport them there. Maybe increasing the damage done to a unit if you dont counter it would feel better. You can still deal heavy damage to the units you counter but you arent invincible anymore
I love watching your Advance Wars gameplays, they're very entertaining and this hack just looks sweet

worst part is that Merlinus' theme in FE7 is just a remix of the "La La La La La" song.

This is pretty much what Mystery of the Emblem would look like if Intelligent Systems port that game to the GBA.

One small detail I noticed, Kartal seems to have created a "double shore" tileset for applying shores directly in the sea! Good job you!
The campaign in this hack isn't actually a campaign, it's more like a tutorial of all the new units and mechanics.

I’m trying to do this in reverse. The COs of advance wars 2 are translated into promoted FE8 classes. I don’t have one for Olaf and drake and I’m trying to avoid duplicate classes. I’ll post the list below.

I'm no tech expert but wouldn't it have been so much more easier to use the GBA Fire Emblem sprites instead of the old Famicom ones?

I also think the sprites are hard to tell too and I'm not color blind.
Are the ships/see dragons finally good here, even when air units are around?
I was hyped for this hack and tried getting into it but I just couldn't. It's very hard to learn, and the matchups are very punishing. Not helping matters is the fact that the third campaign map is ridiculously hard and a massive difficulty spike. I also like to play with animations, at least for the early turns of the match, but this hack doesn't have any. I agree with Mangs that sometimes it's hard to tell units apart. I'm not shitting on Kartal for the sake of it, I'm sure it took a hell of an effort to put this together, but it's just not for me.
Also S rank requires 290 points for some reason. As if getting 280 wasn't hard enough with this AI.

And bout the animations, idnt think that Kartal have any plan on adding animations to the hack, because 1 - its stupidly hard and 2 - AW animations wasnt made with meelee combat in mind
@@thebrazillianguytm2186 It's mostly a matter of having to memorize each interaction. It's like learning Advance Wars from the beginning all over again: who can attack who, how much damage they deal...
Generals would 100% be the Megatanks of this sort of thing. Super slow, but they are a nightmare to kill. Only Fighters do any real damage against them, and they die in one shot, regardless. Mages and Bishops would be the best counter. Same with things like Dragons and so on.
Could also be a Swordmaster Unit. Similar to the Hero, but always does STUPIDLY good damage to Infantry/Foot type units, like Fighters, Knights, Rogues, etc. They just aren't good against Armor... Or maybe just have them with an Armorslayer that has 2-3 "shots"?
Also I agree, the horse units should have their saddles be color-coded instead of green. Perhaps even make the horse white/black or some other color to distinguish Sisters from other knights.

sisters' and social knights' sprites look too similar to me as well. Along with fighters and corsairs.
When do we get a Fire Emblem hack with AW characters?
I mean... Nell was an MVP in Mangs' last FE6 playthrough. With some tweaks, you could easily put AW characters in FE.
@@demonking41-l8j i think the biggest issue of just inserting AW into an FE game is that there's not enough COs to replace all the characters.
It would probably have to an entirely new hack if you want to make it work.
