    Hello!
Youngger gen Taishanese American here and just want to give you some support! Got here via Brittany and am so thankful that there are still young people like me that speak Hoisanvah and are passionate about keeping it alive. It's been one of my goals for awhile to make a vlog but was discouraged by family who view Hoisanvah as "hillbilly talk" or "for old people". Seeing these videos inspire me to go for it and abandon these inhibitions!!
    好感謝您啦!

Thanks for your kind words! That experience felt intimately familiar to me. Got to address that we aren't country bumpkins 🤣 and the dialect isn't just for old people 🧡 it's for everyone who has a heart for it!

I found your channel from a video by Cantonese with Brittany. I got to say you are the first person who speaks taishanese with such a gentle and mellow voice. I really enjoy it! My grandparents speak taishanese and I sometimes don’t understand them. Thank you for all the efforts you put into teaching taishanese. Keep it up.

A really cute video using your adorable dog to demonstrate. It’s so good to know that this old Cantonese dialect is still spoken from different parts of the world. I’d like to say that I too am a toisan speaker, but I feel that when I was much younger, I have not been practicing enough. I only know the basics of everyday conversation. Thanks for sharing your video!

There’s this CZcams channel called “I Love Languages” that records audio samples of different languages with translation and transliteration. It would be so cool if you would record some Taishanese for that channel, that way it could be preserved forever. Love your channel! I’m starting to realize the similarities between Cantonese and Taishanese because of this channel 😊

I'm Malaysian Taishanese and I speak Taishanese as well, so I can understand it without the subtitle.
But most of the Taishanese in Malaysia has a heavy influence by Cantonese, so usually our ending was reduced.
