I have collected a bunch of questions revolving around personal growth, friends, family, travel, finances, and budgeting for your exchange year. Basically telling you all about my exchange student experience and how to prepare yourself for your study abroad adventure.

Guten Tag Laura!! Did you ever make it down to the Gulf of Mexico to Swim in the Ocean when you were in Texas?? Also....what did you think of the States you passed through getting to Florida? You must have passed through LOUISIANA, MISSISSIPPI, ALABAMA and maybe even GEORGIA! Did the LONG RIDE bother you at all?? Spaeter Laura!!
Hallo! Unfortunately, I never did make it down to the gulf in Texas :/ My family lived very far up north and we didn't get a chance to go. I only passed through those states very briefly but would love to go back. I loved the beach in Florida and would love to see New Orleans some day
@@honey27003 Hallo Laura!! Glad you liked Florida. I hope you come back and get to hit Louisiana again to see New Orleans, try to go there during their Mardi Gras Festival, but as I have recommended , you MUST come to Michigan too!!! Aufwiederschreiben Laura!!
do you have to pay for the school bus?
Hi, I lived very close to the school and my host sister had a car so we drove to school and I never took the bus except to go to volleyball games. I think it depends on your school district whether you have to pay. Are you going to be an exchange student?
i live in the US and you don’t have to pay for the school bus at public schools
Race/ color/ ethnicity in America is confusing & people don't want to assume & offend others. We tend to go by what people identify themselves as, not what we see. Whites with Central or South American roots identify themselves as Hispanics. Descendants of slaves identify themselves as Blacks ,but identify other blacks by their origin( Jamaican, Caribbean, African...). We don't want identify an Arab as Jew ( or vice versa), we don't want to identify a Jew as White( or Vice versa),
So we ask questions rather than assuming . Weird ? Yes . Stupid?No. Sometimes we want to know so we can be courteous and respectful.
