Thew, long ago you said that Rescue Force Drill was your least favorite transformer. Does he still take that title, or has another figure taken that?
Artfire is amazing. He went from a complete nobody to one of my favorite toys of all time. The extra detailing, color variety, chrome, and not to mention a flippin' Targetmaster elevated him to legendary status. I feel like everyone needs him, even if they think they don't.

Usually not one for the hype-train, but this being my first Tf-con overseas, I'm kinda excited and hopping aboard without looking back! Been doing conventions for a couple of years now and they are always a lot of fun! Looking forward to meeting you in person Thew! And maybe grab a pint?

I am equal parts excited and terrified for TFN. Meeting people I've known for years, but also travelling to Birmingham alone when I've never travelled to Birmingham before. But man, this is bucket list shit for me.

I had the privilege of meeting Budiansky at Retro Con here in Pennsylvania, he's a really chill guy to talk to. He explained how he came up with some of the names and such, very interesting stuff that one can really only learn from him. I learned how he came.up with the name Megatron and the trouble he had with it due to bomb scares and such, cool stuff.
Yeah, the only reason Megatron passed was because he was the bad guy.
I'll try not to get so drunk I forget words to songs this year but still get zonked enough to sing along to anything at a moment's notice.

Congrats for getting Fort Max from someone who bought him at a reduced price. Wish that I could find him at lower prices in my neighborhood, but not all Transformers figures end up at discount stores where I live.
If you're looking for some cool G1 Pretenders, I highly recommend Snarler just for his amazing inner-shell beast mode. He's a pig with a giant drill for a snout! How more badass and metal can you get?

Someday I'll go to a Transformers convention of some variety. Unfortunately, I live in Australia where we don't really do conventions, especially not Transformers ones. And when we do have them, no one of note can really be bothered flying out all the way here for it, so we end up with maybe one B-list guest at best.

Bob Budiansky, saw him at BotCon 2010 in Orlando. He really seemed like he was being bothered the whole time. It was like he was dragged to this event where he just incidentally had something to do with a thing one time. He was pretty much like, "eh...yeah, they asked me to name these things and write these weird bios 30 years ago. Why do people like it so much...?"
Read his interview on BWTF.com. When Ben asked him about how his work compared with Simon Furman's, he got all pissy about it. Despite his claims, he never really came across as someone who saw his work as anything but a job.

For instance, I once found a complete Classics Astrotrain in a baggie in a plastic bin for $10. I was so happy.

so what's your opinion on the updated G1 Machine Robo toy line from Bandai's Gokin series that happens to be designed by 3rd party designers such as Action Toys, as in GoBots is back with a vengeance!! well they are based on the anime series designs instead of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon models but eh.

There's not a huge amount of strong Brave series, the only notable ones are The Brave Express Might Gaine and The King of Braves GaoGaiGar (which btw, I'm building a custom Genesic GaoGaiGar out of Transformers figures - should be fun!).

Thew, if you pick up Trypticon be very careful with its hips because it's a known issue they break apart easily!!

Try adding the US Power Master Prime to Fort Max. I would explain in greater detail but why spoil the fun Blaster works well if you do not mind a near vertical ramp.
Sorry i should explain thi,s I was refenceing the first Titans return Optimus Prime that was based off the Combiners Wars Ultra Magnus. Why he is designed to Base up with the titans Return Fortress Maximus but how..... especially with the hasbro instructions. Also I recent got a Titans return Hot Rod and i am so waiting to hear what you think about it.

I think eBay's probably your best bet! Sadly you'll probably end up spending a lot more on individual bits so you might as well buy a complete one :|
