    Great coverage that awning, I’m sure you put guy ropes on when it’s windy and better to use sand pegs 👍👍

    Are you concerned with overloading the roof at all? Or do you find that it’s fine.

      With what I have on the roof that is about as much as I’m willing to put on there

    Great video I've got a 1994 suzuki swb vitara and my big daddy deluxe swag is way wider then my car is wide haha but one day I hope to get a jb74

      I ended up getting an Oztent RS 1 swag you can see in more recent videos. I’m still not certain it’s my final sleeping solution. Eyeing if the crashpad stuff

      @@MightyOverlander I'm wanting to use your setup but the websites all say my 94 swb vitara is 1630-1640mm wide and your jimny is 1645mm wide but I measured my roof racks and they are 1300mm which is wider then my roof so I'm losing 340mm, I've got you on instagram so I'll message you on there just to ask a few questions

    Great video thanks mate. I use the Oztent RS-1 swag and it’s fantastic! It has a very low profile on top of my Jimny’s roof and only weighs 13 kilos. Absolutely love it.
    Looking forward to your next episode. 😁🤙🏻

      This is one of the two I am looking at actually. Do you use it with the Oztent stretcher as well?

      @@MightyOverlander no, at the moment only on a ground sheet. The stretcher is a good add-on to the swag though. 🤙🏻

    Brilliant video! Just wondering, how many kilos do you have on your roof and do you have it on all the time, long term?

    • @MightyOverlander
      @MightyOverlander  Před 3 lety +1

      Gday champion. The recovery box is about 15kg and the swag is 12, I’m not sure of the awning but that’s all about I put up there. I have put more on there before but I’ll be honest the handling does suffer. That’s why I’m going to change swags soon. The only thing I leave on is the recovery box

    Great video mate! How’s the awning holding up? I heard the hinges snap?

    • @MightyOverlander
      @MightyOverlander  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey mate. It’s outstanding and I have broken the hinge and fixed myself once before. The design is actually really good as the hinge becomes a bit of a weak point where it will break before any damage is done to the metal frame or roofrack. It’s super super easy to replace. It’s only ever happened once and it was my fault for not pegging it down properly as well!
