love at 4:16 how you keep it real lol it happens
Hot asf though !
At one point, I knew nothing, now I know something's! In the future I will know more things! Being open to learning moves me forward.
Great job painting the door and the room Ashley
Great work !!! Its coming along fine. Stay warm .........
You did an awesome job on the walls. I love it. Floors will be amazing.
Your smiles are very valuable during these troubled times!😊
Looking 👀 so good and coming together so nicely. Sam’s going to be so excited to see her bedroom complete and then she can make it her space. Awesome 🤩 ❤xxxx🇬🇧
Great job mudding Ashley
Ashley, excellent job applying to "mud" on the screws and various cracks. Good job with adding the 'primer' on the walls!
Looking good. 👍. Keep those videos coming, love them
Great video Ashley and Jeremy
Little yellow plastic 1 1/2 inch knife and wipe against gravity for best results sometimes. Fill in the corners with mud and tape it. let dry then fill the gap. Vancouver Carpenter Video.
Keep up the great work. Doing a awesome job indeed.
Looking good, thanks.
Cracks and holes! Never have tried to and I just paid a professional. But, yours look like they came out very well. Love that fire and I'm sure your cabin is warm. I bet Sam will love her floor and know that her room will be all done. Great job, Ashley! Your such a great worker. Big hugs from Santa Barbara. 😘😎👍
another wonderful video! congratulations ❤
Everything is really looking good! Great job 👏
Thank you!! 😊
Looks good!
Pretty cool getting the bad rooms on the way..comfy sleeping on the way 💫

Love these vids. Knowledge and some fun!
Looking good Ashley, one day at a time.
Yay , moving along...you all keep warm....already had a cold front move thru here in northwest....definitely brrrr...
that poor pastor....oh my
Love ya... 🙏❤
Quick tip, if you don’t like to sand… use a damp sponge
I did that and at the first try I used a damp thin face cloth, but it did not dry smooth. I will try the damp sponge and hopefully it will work. Sanding is not my favorite thing to do.
Loved this content! Funny, light hearted, experimental/adventurous! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Just got out of the hospital with the same kind of gut problems you have experienced. Thanks for making my day better. 💕
everything is looking great..love your attitude, always pleasant..have a safe and warm evening
Thank you! You too!
Hello, you good working for the cabin,, good day for you and take care you
Love it!!😍
Oh my😍😍😍😍
That Gap filler is nice , makes the walls look great !
Great Job 👍 Got a new favorite video on your channel 😃
Amazing Video
Ashley I really enjoy your jokes awesome work Rosa
For the corners you can use corner tape
Mudding is definitely a skill of its own. You were brave to try, and did ok. Taping and mudding seams is quite tricky, and messy to sand. Glad you don't have to do it!
Nice work
Nice job
I'm watching the wonderful couple's video well
Very nice
Use a sanding block make sure your mud is completely dry, also a wide stripe where the cracks are will hide them, still they may crack without tape have a great day
As you fill the holes and cracks, you trap air in them. This is normal. After it dries, a light sanding not only smooths the fill, it shows you the divot created as the air wicks out. This is also normal. Usually the process is fill, sand, touch up, sand, primer, touch up, primer touch up, and paint. Ear plugs help block the noise from sanding.
Nice video , see you soon. 🇫🇮🙂☀️👍
How you doing today hope you're having a great day and God bless you guys ❤️🐱
I got a good laugh when you climbed over the ladder to get to the other side!! 😆 🤣 😂 😍
I love that fire place
Best video on ur page so more like this just you in it
Other than the sanding I can see how much you love to paint and get the rooms finished.
Looks good Ashley, your hard work is paying off. I’m glad your doing the floor before the trim ( thought to myself oh no !!! ), good catch. Your going to love those gloves Jeremy. We are just over the deep freeze you guys are getting now. Sam is going to be excited about her room getting finished. Be well stay safe and stay warm. 👍👍🇨🇦
After sanding I brushed on a little primer, then a little paint, then I painted the wall. Having fun yet :)
Insulated Mechanix gloves? Ok...I need those! Ashley, you did fine on the hole filling! The wall.looked great 😀
😊 thank you
when you mud and sand to fix and screws and caps you have 2 or 3 time before wall is smooth
Always remove door knobs, switch and electric outlet plates. It takes very little time and looks great when painting is complete.
Usually painters tap junction of wallboard then sand then paint. Just FYI. I do enjoy ypu and Jérémy working and when sam helps out!
Yes tape would make that job so much easier
Siempre tan linda ❤
Hermosa ❤
Hermosa dama 👍🤳 ashley 🌹 un buen video 🤳✌️
Mix mud till very smooth. Take a wider knife and load middle with compound. Drag across one hole to the next with knife at an angle. Quicker and keeps fingers out of compound.
I love my Tupperware scrapers like the one you are using to fill the holes!! Do you live at the cabin full time? Blessings! 💜
Aloha!
واو جميلة هيا الحياة في الغابة
You should try doing an X pattern while filling holes and cracks with a nice wide trowel. Then, when sanding, use a wood block so when you've sanded it the filler will be level and smooth with the sheet rock paper. Also, when painting doors, it's best to remove it from the hinge and lay it flat, and use a spray paint or sprayer for a nice smooth finish. And those pants are great work pants with an awesome color! 😀
Quick tip if you don't want nail pop's take a little thinner on a rag, wipe screws heads wait to dry that way the mud stick better
yeah saw it was something insane like minus 100F (-73C) on mount washington this week think thats in vermont not sure.. yesterday it was 13F (-10.5C) here and then thursday they say 60F (15.5C) .. yeah we'll see about that probably not but at least it should be warmer... then it gets cold again.. Only a few more weeks until its decent outside.. i need to get a bunch of stuff done so its welcome. ... don't worry so much Jeremy .. catch ya later
Great crack work!!! 😍 Holy mackerel, that's hot is right! 😉
Make more videos like This🌹🌹🌹🌹
Put a bit of color in your putty. It helps to see where you've put it and sanded.
Looking so good, y'all have done such a fantastic job. That fire looks awesome as well. Blessings
Thanks so much
Mmm...thank you, I put my fire/furnace out 😮😌
Drywall mud shrinks while it drys that is why you have to fill - let dry - sand and repeat multiple times till it's smooth and flush
Very good Video 👍
Thank you 👍
Just an FYI for the future. If you screw a broom handle onto the end of your roller waayyyy faster and more even
Hey Ashley , I think you did great!.
That would annoy the heck out of me if the puddy came back out 🤨.
Hi to Jeremy and Sam 😀.
JO JO IN VT 🇺🇲💨❄️
you have to use tape or mesh tape for the cracks and joints that will never look right,,,your house do what you want but for the little effort to put tape on there and will look solid when done
Holy mackerel that’s hot. Yep that’s what I was thinking
When you do this again, move some of your mud to another container, and add some water till it’s thinner. Use a 4” or 6” wide putty knife (metal - with some spring to it). Fill the holes in an “x” pattern - you should be able to do several at a go - it doesn’t have to be pretty. Get a sanding block - it will change your life. Since you are covering the long seams with trim, it’s a great place for you to practice using tape. I’m no fan of doing mud and tape, but it does get easier in time.
loved the joke ! just discovered your channel !! keep on doing a great job !!!
Happy to have you here :)
Get yourself a wide putty knife (6" ) for spreading putty on the joints. You'll be able to make the seams disappear after sanding.
The one job that I do not like to do, is painting. I am too much of a perfectionist and I try to get the surface like glass... You did a fine job.
I hope Sam is well.your whole family is fascinating and I enjoy your can do afttitude.chuck
All is well, thanks :)
Clearly learning but doing a great job. Because it doesn't have to be perfect just good enough.PS you are supposed to go up and down and left and right for painting to get the best / smoothest coverage
It's best to go over those nail hole 3 times because they're going to shrink and then with some fine sandpaper lightly sand them down
Put a corner shed in to cover the seem
I love your channel! Been watching for years... this was the most hilarious one ever. I could not stop laughing everytime Ashley said "crack fill", "filling the holes".... watch it again, it's comedy gold! I apologize in advance for being gutter minded, but damn that was funny
lol
Ashley, your mud that you were filling
Screw holes may have been a bit to
Dry next time, keep some water in a cup
And dip the spreader in the water. Then you feather the mud to a smoother finish.
Ashley, you need a 5 inch putty spatula (cutting Knife), it would make your job muh easier. Just completed 480 sq feet of laminate flooring, but this laminate went together very easy. I am bad at painting because I hate it, or I hate painting because I am bad at it, or both ways. 😄
I wish unedited version on another platform.
ya it look good but i still would mud and tape all seam in sheet because air movement
Ok 👍👌 super
LOL... Ohhhhhh Ashley... You are funny as heck!!!! LOL ;-)
skilled lady, built for work too.
Suggestion: after those screw holes have partially dried, go over them lightly with a damp sponge.
I did this on a finishing coat of mud years ago. Works very well, and no dust.
Most likely your not going to be submitting pics to better homes and gardens of the bedroom walls. So as long as your happy with how it looks thats all that really matters. As the mud dries it contracts so unless you overfill which leads to a lot of sanding, having to touch up screw holes a 2nd time is normal. I do handyman work and from what I could see on camera it looks great!
Your so sweet, what happened to saving the paint on the seams 😊. The cabin is looking real nice and cozy ❤.
I just couldn't help but paint them lol
@@MBFModernHomesteading That’s not much paint, and it’s easier ha. 😊
There is a reason why you tape and float the corner of the room it keeps the bugs out and seal's the wall to keep the air out as well.
The entire room has vapour barrier anyways.
I think you are doing a great job dear. The mud will shrink a little bit so you might have to fill some a little bit. Other than that great job dear.
Always working lol
Sparkle shrinks when it dries that’s why you had to go over them
