Just purchased one. Thank you..so far so gooood!
I appreciate your reviews bro, I like your format. Don’t know why you don’t get more views.
Appreciate it! 😁
thanks for the review and hard work-this beats my 05 tacoma
Just got one, can't turn on the lond top LED running lights, you know how??
¿Does anyone know how to remove the plastic surrounding the rear view mirror?
It buzzes on uneven roads. I think I just need to tighten the screw, but I'm afraid of breaking the plastic casing by applying too much force in the wrong direction to get it out of the way.
Great review
Thanks!
Nice review, Andrew! I didn't know Honda pickup trucks also existed... :D Germany is not a truck land... :D Really nice design and tons of features. The tailgating features are certainly out of this world! :D Wonder where the speakers sit... Also in the bed you don't have wheel arches! Very handy if you indeed want to transport an ATV. Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work! :)
Appreciate it Martin! 😁
Okay review but should have added new for 2020 models Power Locking Tailgate Wider opening rear doors from 2017-2019 models.
Also new for 2020 Engine Idle Stop/Start. They are the other key features
on 2020 vs 2019
Anyone had issues with the engine oil level/oil dilution?
Gold pony love it keep it up also you should try the 2020 Honda hrv
next video! :-)
Prefer the grill on the Passport. Would prefer a full gauge package above a stereo in the bed. Is a transmission cooler available? I have the black trim in my Acura MDX and it shows every spec of dust (I know it is a nit). Aside from that, a nice vehicle.
When my 2008 Ridgeline wears out I'll be looking at a new truck . Hopefully Honda redesigns the grill with a Passport version .
A Leveling kit and larger tires also improve its looks.
The Passport carbon fiber grill has been available as an upgrade option 2017 - 2020.
Allegedly, the 2021 Ridgeline will be built off the Passport production line rather than the Pilot.
The RTL-E and Black Edition come standard with oversized coolers for the engine and transaxle.
13:52 Fingerprints galore
I feel like the Ridgelines need a but of a facelift. The styling looks a bit aged
Great review! More towing capacity would be nice but otherwise fantastic pickup!
How about tailgate lock??
You have to buy that separate.
@@michaelhinchey Not true All 2020 Ridgeline Trucks have a power locking Tailgate. This is a new standard factory feature. The lock works with your power door locks.
The power locking tailgate feature can be enabled or disabled thru settings in the touch screen display along with push button transmission ect.
The power locking tailgate also has a emergency back up in case of failure.
The normal key inside your remote key fob can be inserted to remove the lock cover. You then pull cable to release the tailgate.
This cable is also connected to the vehicles factory Alarm system.
Interesting review but Honda should have used its own 10-speed auto trans instead of the 9-speed ZF fiasco. So I disagree I would rather stick with the Honda 6-speed than getting a 2020 with the 9-speed.
I agree. The 10 speed has been in use since 2018 and it is a much better transmission. It has replaced the 9 speed in all models of the Odyssey for 2020. If the 10 speed is good enough for Acura SUVs it should be used in Honda SUVs and trucks. I'm surprised the Ridgeline is using the inferior transmission and not offered an upgrade option.
The 6 speed is as bad as was the 9. I say was for the 9 because Honda worked out the bugs.
@CheAmoGuidare You need to educate yourself about the ZF transmission design. There are a few videos on youtube you can (and should) view before posting silly comments.
CheAmoGuidare the ZF9 is a transaxle (front wheel drive system), not a transmission aligned for rear wheel drive systems.
The complaints were made due to transaxle shuddering during dog plate clutching (4th-5th) and (8th-9th), an electronic synchronizer is used in place of a traditional mechanical synchronizer. The other gears shift just fine using friction plate clutching.
@@squidusn71 Nope. The repair/replacement history of the 6-spd is MUCH better than the ZF-manufactured 9-spd. The sole "advantage" of the 9-spd is slightly better fuel mileage. The 9-spd also "hunts" in traffic. The only reason Honda didn't upgrade the 2020s (and now the 2021s) to its in-house built 10-spd is because American Honda doesn't have enough production capacity to fit the 10-spd tranny to the Ridgeline.
"The minivan of pickup trucks."
..it's the unibody, chopped rear end, Honda pilot of the truck world.. to be VERY specific.
It's a good thing lol.
Ravens??? Noooooo. This whole time I thought you were an eagles fan 🤦♂️
Lol I grew up in MD and used to work right next to the stadium so yea Ravens all the way! 💜
Gold Pony better than redskins at least
19 MPG city??? The 9 speed has the same MPG as the 6 speed. Terrible for a car like truck.
@CheAmoGuidare No you don't have a clue about trucks. The 2020 Tacoma 2x4 with a 3.5 L, 6 cyl, Automatic (6 speed tranny) gets 19 city and 24 highway 22 combined. The 2020 Ridgeline FWD with a 3.5 L, 6 cyl, Automatic (9 speed tranny) gets 19 city and 26 highway 22 combined. The old school 6 speed Toyota has had for years and years gets the same 19 city and only 1 MPG less combined than Hondas 9 speed Ranchero style car/truck. www.fueleconomy.gov/
The ZF9 transaxle focused on being a more reliable towing performer over the 6-peed. The 1st - 4th ZF9 gears are much lower than the previous 6-speed, so they accelerate into much higher RPM. The 9th gear on the ZF9 has exceptionally low RPM on freeways and has superior MPG over the 6-speed when driving cross country on interstates. Adding more gears also increased transaxle weight, which is a hard metric to overcome when packing in more gears.
@@lancelotlink3907 lol the guy that actually owns a Ridgeline informed you of his fuel numbers and you deny it?
@@squidusn71 wow really? I can say my truck gets 100 MPG but that doesn't make it a fact...I go to sites I cant trust like fueleconomy.gov or www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.shtml ............this is the most accurate site I know for MPG figures. 2020 Honda Ridegeline FWD 19 City 26 Highway and 22 combined MPG. No bias here.
Lol, triggered.
Nice review, but that hat is distracting and takes away from the gravitas of your otherwise excellent review. Nothing expresses gravitas like a Bowler hat...
What about the 110 volt outlet Hidden in the bed? When doing an auto review if you could stop saying the word “actually”. You have a long way to go reviewing vehicles. Next time do your homework 📚 and do a comprehensive review.
What homework are you referring to? I'm always up for constructive criticism. Other than 1 power outlet not mentioned what specifically would you suggest next time?
@@goldpony It was a solid review. Dont fret the weak minded. He obviously knew it was there yet is breaking your balls.
Michael Hinchey yes I watch many different reviewers on you tube a lot of them get there facts wrong about the different trim levels yours was spot on . Don’t fret that was a excellent review!!!
Jimmy , how's your YT channel doing ?
Meditation is great stress relief .
Have a great day 😎
