Did anyone else notice Primrose's final chapter theme at the end of Hikari's chapter 1 while playing? It was such a cool theme to bring back and was a great surprise.
What a beautiful game. I just bought it, and I'm blown away by the art and beauty of it. I`m not far along in the story yet so I can`t say if its great. But the voice acting, the combat and the aesthetic of it all is amazing.

The soundtrack is what makes it so great imo.
Started with Olberic as the main character in the first game because of the for the first O in octopath now I'm going with Hikari as the main character in the second as a sort of mirrored parallel.

Why do the aesthetics look so artistic and soulful in a beautiful way ? This and live a live ? Plus the peaceful small 2d view and retro classic style

So excited to get the 2nd game, looks like it'll be much better than the first one. I think I'll start with hikari since I started with Cyrus in the first one.
Hikari is broken at times. That counter stance mixed with a proper defensive character can destroy things.
Hikari is Olberic's analog.
I feel much the same personally. Can't wait to meet the other travelers...Though I'm trying not to play too much of the demo because then I'm just going to want to keep playing more. At least Saturday is close.
I NEED to know what this side scrolle esque style of animation they made is called and if any other game has it
I started the game with Osvald. I thought his story was sad. Then I played Hikari, that was just down right depressing!

I've been trying to get this JP amulet in this lvl 45 cave via Ochette's storyline, almost made it to the exit...should have went for the save point.

@@Rubhen925 I have a bit over an hour, I haven't saved since trying.
However if a BOSS exists in that lv 45+ cave going their even if you could remove all the random battles fighting those battles ONLY at lv 20 or so is really a bad idea and if that cave has a boss you won't even last for like 1 turn at lvs BELOW like lv 50 anyways.
@@veghesther3204 I am not trying to fight any battles, just get the treasure and leave. Running away isn't guaranteed though
It’s easier to get it with osvald’s passive evasive maneuvers

I love the whole HD-2D look, but imagine if this game had pixelated animated cutscenes like in turboCD and segaCD games (snatcher, YS, Valis, Lunar) but in HD.

Kinda disappointed with the VA. Was hoping the voice to be English with Japanese accent.
Game gives the option to play with Japanese VA and English text.
