Just utterly wonderful.... Timeless and wonderful
A master of soul rip kenny
Kenny’s “moving away” is an absolute masterpiece!!!A great reggae version covered by another Kenny,Ken boothe,
This is so frigging cool, that organ is the icing on the cake.
Such a great 60's song :)
RIP Kenny Lynch, 1938 - 2019.
He died?
came here looking for the song because i remember it from seeing the film "Just for fun". Thanks!
beautiful
the best
Was always bummed out the released version didn't have the spooky organ or quite the bounce that the film version has!
rip kenny xxxxxxxxxxxxx go and rest with your chums xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Oddly, this song in "Just For Fun" wasn't released on disc in the UK, although the other song he sang in this film, "Crazy Crazes", was released as the B-side of a single. Over in the States, "Monument" was released on a single.
+darrenburnfan Thanks for that info. It's sad that the production sound on voices those days went out of "fashion" - Lynchy sounds FANTASTIC here...
Such an underated singer should have been up there with Monroe
Why does that statue remind me of Victor Spinetti. Great, unorthodox, Harry Robinson arrangement.
